I live in the rust belt and I have a 1994 F250 that still looks brand new underneath and all I’ve ever done is used an open garden hose to rinse the undercarriage and the inside of the sheet-metal clean anytime I’ve had to go in salt or mud. That’s all I’ve ever done. I haven’t even waxed the truck since I bought it when it was one year old. I’ve been fortunate to always have a garage to keep it in and I think that helps a lot. I haven’t reviewed this thread in a while so I apologize if I’ve already posted a picture of this old girl.

This is the continuous if my post from a couple weeks ago of "Picked up a few engines". Makes load #2 from same place and still got a truck bed full of horse parts to get and few tractors but also gotta deal on few other goodies lol

The Bavarian.... after High grass Cut.... grass was 6“ high. I‘m still proud of my Wheelhorse, what performs perfectly at all.

I know my truck isn't vintage or even a classic, but you would be hard pressed to find a nicer one that has spent its whole life in New York. Down south you may see some rust free trucks but up here they are few and far between. The road salt just eats them up. 2004 Chevy Silverado. Standard cab, short box. Don't see many. 34,000 original miles. Just had new rear calipers, rotars, and pads installed Tuesday. Clean inside and out.

Picked up a c-160 auto with a snowblower and 48" deck, the downside is that they hydro pump is shot. When it gets hot it quits moving. Also a nice Electro 12 with deck and hubcaps. Got a B-80 with a 36" rd deck. Then a roached out suburban and a 655. Didn't grab a pic of the 655 before I left. Gotta go back and get the stuff, but I'm excited! The B-80 and suburban will be for sale and the 655 has the engine out and I have an idea for a project. Suburban is ROUGH, probably just a parts machine. The guy also has a cab for a 5xi series and a 417 A and a 312 H that I'm gonna post for sale for him. He also has a snowblower and a tiller that I'm going to post as well.

Leo grows fast. He is now 5 Months and is 60cm high. Even we „ hungh“ him tall in respect of his joints, he grows that fast - real fast. He like it to chew a bunch of grass and give the Day a „relaxing note“. Sometimes he chew Mrs. Tractorheads flowers, she dislike 😂

Secret is that it sat for 12 years. Previous owner called a junk yard to come take it a way. The junk yard was owned by my nieces husband family. My mother paid the junk price on the truck and my niece's husband repaired it while I was in the hospital for months being treated for cancer. He replaced all the brake, tranny, gas lines. Put those wheels on. Changed fluids.. etc. At that time it had 17,000 miles on it. They surprised me with it while I was recovering. Gave me something to look forward to for when I finally went home. I went in the hospital in February and didn't get home until June. Then in July I had 33 rounds of radiation to my neck and face. Every round, every day, I drove there in my new truck. That truck inspired me to get better. I couldn't wait to get out of the hospital to see it. That was back in 2019. I'm still driving that truck to my many doctors visits. I'm still battling cancer for the 3rd time. In November they removed a tumor on one of my kidneys. Never take your heath for granted. It all can change so fast. Love my family for not only giving me the truck but more importantly helping me pull through a nightmare I never would wish on to anyone. So as the window decal says on the back of that truck...... F#CK CANCER

I would forget the amp meter and keep the volt meter. If an amp meter shorts out it can start your wiring on fire. If a volt meter fails it just quite working. I replace all of my amp meters with volt meters. If you are going to keep the amp meter install a fuse on the power "in" side of the meter. Not an uncommon occurrence. If you have good AC voltage but only battery voltage (not charging) then you have one of these issues. 1 - The regulator has a bad ground. 2 - There is no "+" DC power getting to the center or lower DC terminal on the regulator when the switch is in the "ON" position. 3 - You have a bad regulator.

Here is information from a web site that has trusted information on Kohler engines. Information About the Kohler Engine Models KT17 (First Design), KT19 (First Design), KT21, and KT17 Series II and KT19 Series II Oiling Systems - Kohler engine models KT17 (First Design), KT17 Series II, KT19 (First Design), KT19 Series II and KT21 all have a gear-driven oil pump, and use one of two types of pressurized lubrication systems. The KT17 (first design), KT19 (first design) and KT21 engines use a pressurized SPRAY lubrication system. The oil pump delivers oil to the main bearings and camshaft bearings at approximately 5 PSI. The main bearings are under pressurized oil, but lubrication for the connecting rods/journals is provided by oil sprayed continuously from two small holes drilled in the camshaft in alignment with the connecting rods. On the other hand, the redesigned KT17 Series II and KT19 Series II (including all Magnum opposed twin cylinder engines) have a full pressure lubrication system, much like in a modern-day automobile engine. The Full Pressure Lubrication System delivers oil to the crankshaft bearings, camshaft journals, and connecting rod journals at approximately 25-50 PSI. A spring-loaded pressure relief valve, located in the engine crankcase, behind the closure plate, regulates and limits the maximum oil pressure in the system. These engines have a spring-loaded pressure relief check valve (steel ball) to regulate the oil pressure, and the KT17 (first design), KT19 (first design) and KT21 engines do not. The Series II and Magnum crankshaft is cross-drilled for oil passages from the main journals to the connecting rod journals, and both the main bearings and connecting rod bearing surfaces receive full lubrication from an oil passageway in the block through the crankshaft. Oil does not spray out of the camshaft onto the connecting rods in the KT17 Series II, KT19 Series II and all Magnum opposed twin cylinder engines. If there's no oil filter adapter with no oil filter on a KT17 Series II, KT19 Series II or any Magnum opposed twin cylinder engine (oil filter adapter port blocked-off), it's still important to change the oil on a regular basis with these engines, too. Again, fresh, clean oil is cheaper than another engine or an engine rebuild.

Installed an hour meter on the 867 that I restored over the past winter. I did not want to cut a hole to mount a 2" gauge so I opted for one with an inductive pick up that I could hide inside of the hood. These are great little hour meters that will literally work on any engine that has a spark plug. No battery power required. Had a killdeer nest on the lot at work and went to place my hat near the nest so we could easily avoid it while shuffling some vehicles around and got some serious attitude from momma! Id seen the "hey dummy! Im injured, and would make an easy meal" act while they flutter and lead you away from the nest but this momma was bowing up at me!

I cleaned the exterior of chest. The next thing to do with it will be to restore the locking mechanisms of the two lids.That is essential in order to be able to use it safely without damaging lids. The two lids create the problem that the top one must be locked to the second one prior to lifting that one. If not one runs the risk of top one going backwards too much unless chest is up against a wall . I can see by the new screws in top lid’s hinges that it has already happened. Main lock for second lid is actually ok. Missing strike and key. Will have to make those. I wonder how brass on cover was melted?Good thing that lock is not missing since today no half mortise lock is made this large. Will have to find the proper size barrel key blank and file it to fit. Second lock for top lid is actually smaller and available still. Like many others chest had originally some poster glued to bottom of lid remnants of which are still there. Wonder what it was.

Well, I finally got up the steam to get this one done. It was one of those jobs you walk a circle around of about 20 feet for a while as it seems like it was going to be an "ordeal" I am happy to say the cut and cave method worked great. I cut it open up to the block adapter then only a small slice in the hole. I didnt get into the threads of the block adapter. However the nipple was so brittle from age and heat, it collapsed without a fight at all and it pretty much fell right outta there. Its done. Phew. Wasnt the "ordeal" I thought it would be.

Third wheelhorse in their temporary new home. One more joining them tomorrow but the last one will stay for yard maintenance until the day we leave. Off early in the morning to pick up the two Yanmar diesels

Finally got the axle seal replaced on the C-100. Seemed to all go well so hopefully no more puddling oil under it... pressed in pic didn't turn out well but it seated well running the skinny tires for now. Will get tubes for the wide v-tread next!

Well, your parents are supposed to be parents and not just your friend so... When you go through the plans don't just assume there are missing measurements because every little detail isn't written for every little thing. The information is there but some spots you just need to do the math with the given information to get all of the measurements. I remember reading reviews on the hoe plans way back when and was surprised how many people stated the plans were missing measurement information. Not so, all the information is there. Just use the most valuable tool you have, your head.

Finally got some light cutting done with the old 020, seems to run amazingly. Has some light scoring on the piston. Doesn’t seem to bother it so I’ll pretend I didn’t see it😎 Besides, I always make my two stroke mixes as close as mosquito killer as I can. The extra oil should make up for any wear and tear😅

Had never heard of that but yes they do. The mother cat (in back) will come up on the end table and want to be brushed, on very rare occasions she will grant me a bit of lap time for a few minutes. She is as sweet as she could be but only on here terms. She also sleeps with us but will not snuggle. The mother was abandoned at our church just before the kittens were born. The kittens were about 15 or 16 weeks old when the custodian finally was able to lure them into a carrier with some treats. They had not had any human bonding and it has been sort of challenging to get them to warm up to us. The boy (now four years old) loves to be petted and played with but only in a few select places. The little girl (front in the group picture) loves to be brushed, for some reason she thinks that if I sneeze that means I want to brush her. She will run over to the back door mat which is her petting place and meow for petting/brushing any time I sneeze. That is the only place she will let you touch her.

Update: while the whole Equippment with the Hexa was too much for a quick reaction, i reworked few new Dronez. My first invest was a High frame Thermal camera. it has a resolution of 388x244 pixels what is enough for a fawn saving. followed by a Crashed Yuneec Q500 The dronez was firstly the „Master“ , now i use it just for dedicated search thanks to my 3D printer, a Mount for the Thermalcam was quick built. firstly i tested it with the MK58, a video link based on Wifi, but that sucks. a 500ms delay is not really usable for that, also the maximum reachable distance was dang short. after 200m i loose the signal. so i change it over to a Analog video transmitter on 5,8 GHz and mount aside the transmitter another 5“ screen with an integrated VideoRX. A Helicoil Antenna extend my reachable distance to nearly 1,2Km. the hot spot was a rabbit at evening daylight Dang! Problems solved. after that flying Monster with it’s 1,7Kg takeoff weight and 15 min of flighttime i played along with another Toy. i got a great offer for a small GPS Drone what should be able to fly 28min out of stock for a real reasonable price. It is a HS720e what fits in my Hand 520 gramms easy it appears to be able to reach the given time, but i was not a believer in sales promises. i ordered it but it has the same disadvances with the Wifi link. same technic, same trash. Out with that wifi junk quickly implemented another Analog Video TX, built a Thermalcamera mount and ... Few holes in the case for better air circulation because fpv tx becomes hot I was ready for Takeoff. i was curious how it will perform because the takeoff weight grows at +80 gramms. That is dang heavy for such a small copter but we will see.. it fly like a pro! i solved the first Testflight with a fully loaded battery and start a timer on my iphone to get a feeling for the flighttime. 26min continousely - Whow that is great! That thing is dang cool, can be placed in a pocket, but it also have a dis, there is no gimbal just a tilt servo, what means on windier day‘s it is just usable as a estimator for Hotspots, but in that case it is perfect. With its about 68Km/h flight speed it is also usable on higher winds instead to the yuneec. This Picture shows a Rabbit in 25m height. Dang cool - isn‘t it? Actually i use the both, the small drone for a quick hotspot finding and later the yuneec Monster because of its dampened gimbal as guide to bring the helpers as close to the fawns and save them. this year we saved until 2 Mowings 4 fawns at all and mowing season has just begun. i be happy and glad it work that Way. So to all Pilots, allway‘s happy landings.

Thanks for the info Pete. The snowblowers pictured above are two different units. The seller wants 50$ for the older looking one and 100$ for the other. I’m supposed to go look at them in the morning. I’ll try to spin the auger, and see if the chute moves freely back and forth. I have no info on when they were last used, but I’ll find out tomorrow. We have all kinds of snow here. I’m on the edge of the tug hill plateau, which gets very heavy snowfall. Although it has been getting less and less in later years. I just wanted to make sure the 36” wide snowblower is what I need. I’m supposed to be getting one from the person I got the 416 from, but it’s at his ex wife’s house, and who know if and when that will work out. So I’m looking to pick up one when prices are cheap. It will be the same process...no drill needed. You want something small enough to get in between the metal of the seal and the shaft...something like this. This is a Carter Pin Puller. An ice pick with a bent point will also work. Pry and pull out.

I made a mounting plate and mounted an impulse pump. Works great. Use OEM Briggs or Kawasaki pumps, not cheap knock offs. Less risk of failure and gas in the crankcase. Pump in the pic is a Kawasaki.

I got it home tonight.. runs awesome but does need a few things... wheels for the 48" deck, the guy said that there should be some rubber bumpers for the hood that are missing so the hood rattles and the battery tray and hold-down.. run through starts tomorrow,, fluids, cleaning and dielectric all the connectors, etc.. Additional toys I got today is the horse wheel weights and the grader blade
