23 pointsToday I donated my grader to the Long Island Antique Power Association. I no longer have a use for it, so I figured the best place for it would be to give it to this club. They have their own property where they have a few shows a year and truck and tractor pulls. For my donation I will receive a lifetime membership and I’ll go run the grader to grade the track when they do the pulling.

20 pointsJust picked up my third and most likely, fastest, horse. Has a 4cyl 1.2L Toyota K series engine. Picked it up at auction so don't know much about. Guy there said old guy dropped it off said he used to mow with it! Sat covered in a barn for 15 years. The fluids have been drained. Haven't started it yet. Fogged the cylinders today and turned it by hand. Changed the oil... Marveled at the craftsmanship... Check out the throttle! Anyone seen this before??? Any information about it would be much appreciated

7 pointsBrother had a 65 Bug in college. During the Buffalo winter you had to bring the battery inside and wrap it with a little blankie so it would start the next day. Someone stole it once by knocking out the drivers vent window. Which was handy because you could reach out the window when driving and adjust the coat hanger radio antenna! The back bumper would fall off occasionally. One time we went to see inside of the new stadium (Rich Stadium). They were just putting down the crappy Poly-Turf over the black top when we got kicked out. We went to leave with the security guys standing there and of course it fell off. One time he backed into a little side hill that was soft from the rain. The tail pipes stuck in the ground and stayed there as we pulled away. Sounded really cool then!

6 pointsLots of horse stuff today.... painted The Flame... sure @Achto ain't gonna like it.... Naawww just kidding phone went screwball....head gasket was leaking. Head bolts real loose so a new gasket and inspection. Clutch was always grabby and has orginal WH rubber belt so going to try a TSC one. Replaced a roll pin in in the steering. Smoked like a bandito.... too much seafoam or stabil so fresh gas and a oil change straightened that out.

6 pointsThis is my newest pulling tractor. It’s a full custom build with mostly Cub cadet. It has a 3 cylinder Yanmar turbo Diesel engine. I pulled it for the first time yesterday and wow what a crazy machine. I’ve got some learning to do with this one. I’m wondering if anyone can identify the hood? I’ve been asked by lots of guys and I just don’t have an answer. I bought it from the second owner and he wasn’t able to give me any information. I’m not sure if the original builder is still around. I’m thinking maybe Bolens? Gilson? I searched and came close but nothing definite. It’s been fun searching though. I’ve found lots of tractors I never knew about. Any help is appreciated.

6 pointsGrazing Horses! Figured I’d empty out the horse barn and clean out a bunch of junk. Perfect opportunity for a group photo. Only missing the 310-8 mower tractor with bagger.

6 pointsMy 1980 C-165 was made for two years with the single-cylinder K341AS. It is pictured with a Harbor Freight 10k generator and my custom C-85.

6 pointsWin Win It's great that people will get to see that beautiful machine in action.
-
6 pointsLooks like you found a good home for it. As a bonus, you still get to play, rather, work with it from time to time.

6 pointsDon’t take this the wrong way, but that front end kind of resembles my cat’s litter box. It isn’t made of plastic, is it? 😀

5 pointsThe real deal for today Dan I was gonna bring this tractor over for ya too but since no room at the inn yer screwed, glued and tattooed ..... I fell in love with her so giving some love to her. '79 C-121 auto..... I got this on a load with a bunch of and the rest (hopefully) went on to greener pastures but this one I hung on to for some reason. Oh that's right @Achto this is where ole pale face come from! Wheel weights are heavy.. busted a gonad getting them off but the kind I like with the flush outside. Price of admission right ther and will end up on the Raider 12 loaner plow mule. Leaking seal.... bearing/keyway was good tho but will broach hub just cause I can. Every thing coated in oil but cleaned up nice. Goin thru EB's new to check list. Some other things to sort out but hopefully minor. Can't seem to get the points set right.... kinda like she firing too soon at higher rpm.

5 pointsAll the kids came out for a romp today. First time out this year. No jumper cables or starting fluid needed. They're not all Wheel Horse, but at least they are all red. Except for Casper of course. I left the green in the barn.

5 pointsHere is one you don't see every day. Fact it is the first one that I have seen in person. 1947 Hudson pickup truck. Tried to talk to the owner about it but evidently he was in a hurry er some thin'

5 pointsHow cow, this looks way different. I just put penetrating spray on it. That's it so far. I like the deep red look...

5 pointsI always have hearing protection on if I'm going to be on any of my horses more than a few minutes so noise isn't a big deal. At my age seating comfort is the most important thing, anybody know how I could adapt a recliner to a ?

4 pointsMoved my boat outa the garage today which exposed this 48” deck that I was storing under it. Moved the deck around three different times today and decided to sell it rather than continue moving and storing it. I have a lots of 36” and 42” decks that I prefer for my smallish lawn. I think it’s a 2002 deck, still has some red paint on the underside, the blades are in great shape as well. No rot holes, no weld repairs, has the reinforcement bar across the front edge. With proper care this could be the last deck you ever buy!! Includes the mule drive. Local pickup here in Andover Connecticut OR…I can haul it to the WH Show in PA. Asking $450 or best offer.

4 pointsIn case any o' you loo-loos is interested, a shed around here is what you keep stuff, put stuff, build stuff, repair stuff in... that ISN'T a vehicle. THAT'S a garage. How do I know, you might ask? Because in my town the tax amount is lower for a building that can't be accessed by a road driven vehicle. Our outdoor workshop building is 16 x 20. About the right size for a small 1-1/2 car garage. But since I can't drive an average road usable vehicle into it, it's a shed. The building that BBT and I are looking at having built will be a barn. Why, you might ask? Gambrel truss roof with side wings. It'll be taxed as a vehicle usable building by it's location. Far as actual needed space goes. I was told awhile back that when sizing a prospective need for a garage one should very carefully add up what sq footage is necessary. Double that. Then triple that. It MIGHT be almost usable. 😅

4 points@Pullstart, yes dual wheels both sides. It’s an Oliver 2-44 with a McCormick-Dering grader unit. I’ve seen similar ones, but not the same one. I do know that it was sold by the same dealer that was the local Wheel Horse dealer, Rolle Bros. Even with the wheel lean in the front, you still need a football field to turn around!! It’s really more of a maintainer than a grader, but it does work well!

4 pointsHere's my bug saga. Shortly after signing the license with Mrs. K, in an effort to save some money, I traded in my beloved '59 Ford rag top and financed a new '64 bug for $1200. The first clutch was replaced at 10K and every 10K after that. The king pins froze up and had to be replaced. The back seat battery left me sit several times and I froze in the winter. It did get better milage than the Big Block Ford. After replacing the 3rd clutch at 30K, the dealer said " after it is out of warranty at 36K we can replace the clutch with the VW Bus clutch. Seems in 1964 VW increased the bug HP from 36 to 40 and never put in the 40 HP Bus clutch. I sold it as soon as the warrenty expired at 36K, and I promised myself the two things I will never do again; 1. buy a foreign made vehicle 2. finance a vehicle

4 pointsIt's big! The hood was elongated and whoever did it did a really nice job. Winning bid was $650. I was shocked I got it that cheap... Only 50 more than I paid for my C-121 a couple years ago. I would have probably gone higher just because I'm a Toyota fan. I had that engine in an old Corolla back in highschool! Yes, I will be replacing the fire extinguisher

4 pointsas it turns out, the aftermarket carb the PO put on the tractor wasn’t playing nice with the air cleaner assembly. The linkage had to be bent down to allow the governor a full range of motion. Thank you for your help everyone

4 pointsPicture looks like an advertisement for a Lennox dealer. Vacuum pump still on the ground with the reefer tank inverted and the "Sally Tool Bag"! . I suppose you opened a valve on the gauge set and used the reefer to quick change your vacuum pump oil! I don't see you posing with your golf shirt, pressed pants and spotless baseball cap! What gives?

4 pointsI think if you can get a car or truck in it, it “ could” be called a garage… unless it is obviously a barn. I call my shop a shop because it is a converted 2 car canopy, if you will… it measures about 18.5 x 18.5 feet and has a 9x7 ft roll up door. I can get a car in it, but it is where I work on stuff, so I call it a shop. The reason I said your place was a fabrication shop was because of what I seen in there- that tractor. My “shed” is what I built onto the back of my shop to store my Wheel Horses, guess you could call that a stable, as some do. The first 6 pics are of my shop, next 2 are my shed, last one garage… but I agree- call them what you want… they are our happy places…

4 pointsDon’t know what hood or anything but got a cool name for it!!! Lol. The pulling Smurf!!! 🤷🏻♀️😁😝
-
4 pointsBest seat ever run across. Had one for close to 20 yrs. now. Just got it's first tear.
-
4 pointsThat is very cool and looks really well thought out and executed. I would like to hear how fast you can mow before the deck bogs down. You could also make a video racing a zero turn Also the tread on the rear tires looks worn down....can't imagine how that happened...
-
4 pointsAnd it looks like I unintentionally and unnecessarily stirred up the pot here. It should be noted that your use of “shed” was not, IMO, technically incorrect. The Dept. of Transportation, for example, maintains huge “sheds” to store their equipment, the emphasis being on “storing.” My silly comment pertained to the tendency of most people’s sheds to be packed with so much stored stuff you never see the floor. I don’t think I know anybody with a big enough shed. Your English is fine, btw. Mine might need some work, though lolz. Cheers!

4 points@Horse Newbie and @EB-80/8inPA okay okay I might have used the wrong word here. According to Giggle translate the Dutch word 'schuur' can be translated to either 'shed' or 'barn'.. My understanding is that a shed is smaller and is used for gardentools and such while a barn is bigger and something a farmer would use. So you decide which one it should be Another option would be to call it 'garage' because technically that's what it is, a two (mid eighties, European) car garage measuring 5 by 7 metres or 16.5 by 23 foot.

4 pointsDragging the extra boards from the treehouse build back up the hill. I had to go back about four generations for my lumberjack inspiration.
-
3 pointsYep ... may sling a nice lititle 36 deck I got under her and use her for a back up to the back up to the back up! Sounds resonable to me. Maybe cut a deal with the Hosen for some plow rigging and push some snow or dirt.
-
3 pointsNaw just inspection and new gasket but will do that long as I am ther. Bore looks great.

3 pointsNotwithstanding Mr. Monster's time and experimentation trials... I've known/spoken to/read about MANY MANY people that are incredibly intimidated by the very idea of "rebuilding a carburetor". Some try it and find it very easy. Others seem to think it's a world ending impossibility.

3 points@Ifixoldjunk been using this a couple of years ,https://www.amazon.com/CarBole-Universal-2-3-5P-S-I-Operating-Self- very quiet and reliable , all of my tank valve's , grommets , are replaced , use SUPER LUBE on the tank grommet area , for easy installation , made for rubber / metal fitting , also use clear vinyl fuel rated hose , small dark green squeeze clamps . good opportunity to install , EVIL ENERGY 5/16 fuel check valve , VERTICALLY ,just before carb inlet spot . arrow facing up , always have a fuel charge for quicker starts . that super lube also makes fuel line fitting much easier , just a tiny bit on male end . this combination works , have it on my 3 horses , many hours , no problems , no leaks , consistently starts and works . improve your fuel line routing as you go , support and tye wrap or cable wrap your line . just an idea , pete

3 points@Moonshine*Connoisseur will do, I was looking for a weekend project anyways. Might as well give the old horse some love. I’ve been sucked into antique chainsaws lately. I think the tractors are getting jealous.
