I was alerted of a local auction that had a D160 on it. Threw my hat in the ring and ended up winning it. It's got something kinda crazy looking going on in the back but I should be able to use some parts off from it to fix my D160 up. Basically bought the wheel weights & the tractor was thrown in for free.

And I can't even get her to use it...ours has been giving us fits for a while now so I went out and bought her one that's so much better built...she informed me that I had to do the laundry from now on...I just don't understand some people Actually bought two of them yesterday...but the other one is gonna take a full days work to dig it out of the back of the barn it's in...not sure what model it is yet, but I do know it's a bit later than this one. Trying to pinpoint an exact year of manufacture. What I do know about this one so far is that it is a Model 90, built sometime 1927-1930. Probably gonna change it over to a gas powered 92 though

Greetings! I just wanted to take a moment to say hello and do a shout-out from the West Coast. I'm a recent WH owner ('69 WorkHorse 700 w/ a Kohler Magnum 8) with my eye on a 2nd purchase soon for mowing. Would love to hear from some others who are out here in the Pacific NW. I'm new to garden tractors (and small engines and transmissions in general)...my wife found our WorkHorse online and I fell in love with it when I first drove it. We've had it for maybe 5 months (since we moved into our new place) and it's been used for hauling lots of heavy items from one side of the property to the other. Has some quirks which I will likely be posting questions about down the road (only thing we've done is put a new battery in it). Cheers! [edited to add more pics]

Week 2- Post op Check. Doc says everything looks like its healing well and minimal swelling. He took the stitches out from my incisions and unbandaged it for the first time in 2 weeks. Feels good to have skin exposed to air! I get to start applying 25% body weight on this leg now with the aid of crutches. Brace can be unlocked and bent up to 90 degrees only while sitting. Brace has to be locked straight to get up and move around. Doc says driving restricitions will be lifted in 2-4 weeks when brace comes off. Physical therapy is going well. Just gotta keep up on my daily exercises.

I've been meaning to use some scrap bits of tread plate to make new foot rests for Fred for awhile now and today I got on with it. They look nice and will be easier to keep clean that the stuck on grit paper that I used before.

Your tranny should be a limited slip. That big C clip in by the pinion gears keeps the axles from spinning separately. It will slip (one will turn one way while the other spins the opposite direction). But it takes a fair amount of effort.

I made some bushings and pins. Jigged these up to keep them aligned and tacked them in place. Aligned the bushings and pins and tacked the bushings in place. Main hitch frame.

Kinda did the same here, took the snow plow, chains, and weights off. Changed the front wheels with the roller chains over to regular turf tires. Changed oil and greased the tractor for a new season. Will mount the mowing deck tomorrow. Then the C160 will be ready for mowing duties.

I would choose a lightweight General Motors 215 cu. in, aluminum V8 to do something that wild. Builders of homemade airplanes still seek them out.

I added a HF 12ton air over hydraulic jack to mine. A little modification was needed but nothing too serious a little cutting and welding. Hands down a great decision never have to pump again. If you want more pics i can get them for you.

I'm going to check out a '68 Raider 12 this weekend and I'm curious about these 2 wheels back by the hitch that are appearing in one of the listing images. I haven't seen them before (though granted, I'm a newb when it comes to GTs), and I'm curious to know more about their purpose and whether they were options for the WH or something that was likely fab'd. I've checked out the manual but didn't see anything there. Thanks!

Well got my new weight yesterday! My valentines gift from my husband now has the front weight less likely to pop those wheelies!!!! There might be enough power still but doubt it…. He bought me the RJ from David in Arkansas a few years back we posted on the trip! The moment we saw the ad on here about the front weight we had to have it! Seize the moment, don’t know when ever come across another for sell…! So here I just wanted to share pictures of it! My tractor is a bit dirty from winter setting but i wipped it down just a little for the photo opt!!

I don't have one any one else got one to trade?!?! Same Briggs I have on a pressure washer and a really good motor. Tank comes off easy. Screws & bracket on the underside. Should be able to find a manual for it online.

Well it's feeling more like spring around here so that means the 314-8 made it though winter and it's time to convert her back to the warm setup, and start some spring yard clean up and projects! Also might have to start another wheel horse project due to the little one claiming the 314 as her . Anyways hope everyone had a good winter season and doing alright! Also welcome to all the new red square members!

Yeah no see I thought it was a red square thing I didn’t even notice it was the collectors club , I’m already a member of the collectors club since I had the horse but didn’t join red square since recent

Voltage regulator contains the diodes but it does require a decent 12v battery being connected for the regulation to work properly.

But - with Metric threads and fasteners...hand me the 15 mm spanner, would you, mate???

Now see what you started @ClassicTractorProfessor!

Your voltage regulator is on the flywheel cover. There should be 12 volts DC on the center lead with the key on. With the engine running there should be 36 volts AC +/- between the two outer leads.

The part # 31 on this drawing is a small rubber bumper that attaches through a hole at the top of the running board and prevents the seat pan from contacting the riser of the running board. If they are missing on your 312 you can go to any good hardware store and find a couple of rubber bumpers to use in their place.

this oil seems to be scarce in my area my local malwart used to carry it shelf been bare now over 2 weeks . found it in quarts at Menards in their outdoor power section they don't carry it in 5 quart jugs . got me 8 quarts and found the rislone zinc additive at local O REILIES auto part's 8 bucks a can enough to do 3 tractors and one push mower

In my opinion ANY motor oil on the shelf today is comparable to or better than what was out there a half century ago. I use the house brand Tractor Supply 30 diesel motor oil. Diesel motor oil has more Zink anti-wear additives.
