28 pointsMy wife has been on a kidney transplant list for about a year. She is on Dyalisis at home. We got a call about a month ago that they may have a kidney. Long story short the kidney would not work for her. We got a call today at 3:45 pm to be at the hospital by 7:30 pm. They kicked me out at 9:15 pm and started running tests and getting her prepped for surgery at 7:00 am Thursday. I pray that this will be the right Kidney. Thanks to all in advance, Jay

10 pointse·phem·er·a "items of collectible memorabilia, typically written or printed ones, that were originally expected to have only short-term usefulness or popularity." While looking through an old file of Wheel Horse papers, I found this flyer from the 2003 Wheel Horse Collectors Club Show. (5th Annual) Just thought it might be of interest to some of you. It was faxed to me back in March of 2003 by my local Wheel Horse dealer "Lawsons" of New Market, MD This also serves as the first reminder that it's only 183 days until June 24, 2022.

10 pointsDear Lord, Mrs. Paxton will be undergoing delicate kidney transplant surgery soon. The blessing of a new lease on life is the result of a loving selfless act of the organ donor. Please guide the surgeon's hands to be steady and effective to do the task at hand, and not create any further damage We pray against any infection or complications. Calm the heart of both her and the donor’s families. Give Mrs. Paxton your peace so her body can heal under the best conditions. In the name of Jesus, bless her to be healthier after this procedure than before. Lord allow this temporary trial to bring these families closer to you and each other. When she is coming out of surgery, let the side effects be minimal. Work a miracle in this whole situation and bless it from beginning to end. Thank you, Lord, for your blessing on these families. We praise you as we know we are in good hands- the very hands of God. In Jesus name, we thank you for each day. Amen.

9 pointsIt’s only about 6” on the map. We started at 2am. Cruising about 1000 miles today, to our Marine in Camp Geiger, NC. His first off base Liberty granted since he shipped off to boot camp. Merry Christmas everyone, hopefully you spend some moments cherishing those who you love!

5 pointsI have to chuckle at this thread. On a visit to the Everglades after Hurricane Andrew, we rode a boat into some areas still accessible. It was a cool morning, around 62º, so our family wore long sleeve shirts and pants and were quite comfortable. The guide and the helmsman were both wearing parkas with the hoods up and gloves and complaining about the cold!

5 pointsOn the topic of blades .... have any of yall seen this type/kind of blade? A 5 footer, this thing is really neat, being able to 'flip' the blade for push or drag with simply pulling a lever under the arm and there is 2 settings for the angle in both positions. Just curious, having seen a lot of blades here on the forum but I have never seen this particular design. It came with a D180 I bought several years ago along with a plow (in the background) and disc, and was all bought by the PO as a package from a WH dealer. I havent used it many years, cause I got a Mitsu with FEL. It and the plow had been sitting out so I had just finished cleaning them up to sell....

5 pointsValid point. Disclaimer: Do not try this at home!!! Trina's tractor does not have steps and she has been known to park her feet on one or both ends of the blade.

4 pointsHi guys and gals, Unfortunately for this forum my next project isn’t a horse. It’s a Cub. I bought a basket case 61’ original last year for 80 bucks. I’ve been accumulating some parts for months now, like the original oil bath air cleaner. Time to dig in, and I’ll post all updates here. Might be slow cause I’m also working on my 64’ C10.

4 pointsI've got a mid mount and a rear blade I picked up from @JoeM. My go to is the mid but would be slick if I could figure out how to use them both on the same tractor with independent lifts. For now just have to get another tractor for each blade..... You guys with the front blade can you back drag decent with them?

4 pointsPULL Use a PULL type. You'd be happy with a PULL type grader. Trina uses a pull type grader on her 867 to keep our driveway level and straight. A push type grader can dig in more than desired very quickly on unlevel or uneven ground. I think this is the first time she used it...

4 pointsI prefer a pull type myself. Push type can some times develop a chatter to the ground leaving a jagged surface behind.

4 pointsWhat about making the winch removable with a 2” receiver hitch? Mount the tube vertical, have a mount made for the winch to just drop it in the hole and even add a pin if you’re feeling safe?

4 pointsWhen this happened on my 14-8, took the valve stem to the local hardware store and found a replacement o ring in the small parts drawers. Basically matched the size with the old one. That was about three years ago - still holding.

3 pointsSo, somehow my younger brother has been infected with the tractor virus. So to keep him from stealing my 310-8 constantly I’ve decided to start looking for another horse to do a complete restoration on with him. We’ve pretty much came up with a list of possible tractors that we’d consider but I’d like to know what’s y’all’s absolute favorite wheel horse of all time. I’ve been thinking 520-H, c-175, B-100, or just about any other attach-a-matic wheel horses so we don’t have to hunt down a different set of implements😅

3 pointsI must be doing something wrong . It was level last year. Mounting this thing is not kind on my aging body anymore. I have decided that this is too much to do each year. This one will now stay set up with blower and cab for the winters . I will set another one up for mowing only.

3 pointsI’ve been in the snowplowing business since 1986( mostly commercial and municipal work) the day I can sit home and watch the snow come down and not have to worry about going to work is going to be one of the happiest days of my life. I just want to use my 417-A with the two stage blower or C-160 with 48” blade or GT-1800 with 50” mid-mount grader blade or if it’s a light snow my C-141 8-speed with C-48 Sweepster rotary broom! Then go back in the house and throw another log on the fire, have some hot chocolate!!
