9 pointsNever sure what to expect when my better half and I head North to EB and Trina's. I wasn't sure what his next move was when he knelt down behind the newly acquired 417-A. He said he was priming the fuel system using the @wallfish method . @WHX?? you should have been there, would have liked one of your comments for sure, classic. But you know, it worked, amazing. Learned something new today.

8 pointsOh my Lord Plunge if that don't remind me of this one! . The Hosen was on my 753 and the fuel pump give out right in the middle of really mosquitoe infested waters....trail ride. He thought maybe the carb was plugged. I'll do a caption when my gut quits hurting! Note the seat of the tractor! I distinctly remember telling him not to forget about my nuts. The knurley ones that hold the hood on!

7 pointsI don't know if we are going to make a Red Square calendar for 2021 So I started making one. We start of with @Sparky his Commando 8 My Raider 10 @JCM his 420 exploring the snowy woods @Achto his Raider 12 @rjg854 Raider 12 with that sweet rack @johnnymag3 his lineup @c-series don his GT1800 @hcminis his three 4x4 horses @Shynon in the high summer grass and @squonk @WheelhorseBob his 520's doing some dirt work @SylvanLakeWH his blackhood collection @AMC RULES and @ebinmaine and Trina's Militair Tribute tractor (Honda WH in fall pictures wouldn't work) @Pullstart his lever and seniors @D_Mac plowing the snow I am just making it for myself, therefore it is in Dutch. I have some bugs to work out, as most pictures are of a to low quality for my Dutch calendar maker. Would love to put some more supporting member tractors in the calendar... If there is interest I could make a English versions with these or suggested pictures and make it a downloadable PDF file. DISCLAIMER: I am very sorry for you guys out there, how I didn't include in this temporarily calendar. I composed this trough topic's like front-end Friday and sideshot sunday. And the high resolution, my program needs I am very limited. Feel free to upload a picture of your horse(s)!

7 pointsI see a lot of “ today’s haul” threads here and want to share mine from today. A running when parked 1054, a parts machine 953 and a 54 inch snow blade for them. Also a set of good used steering knuckles for the 1054. This is my first big wheel and I have hopes to use the 1054 as a plow mule this year. I’ll see how it goes but I’m pretty excited to score these. I’ve been talking to a few of the members here on their thoughts of this platform and thank them for their time.

6 pointsHhhmmm… Wisconsin dialect notwithstanding, proper English was utilized in both sentences… Said whilst chewing cheese curds, I can see where your version appeals to the vulgate connotation. I of course, utilized a more refined diction, seeking a holistic understanding of @ebinmaine’s intentions towards the young …

6 pointsStill waiting for the seat to arrive so I sourced the material for the grille cut it to fit and installed it. It has a 1/4" hole round pattern, is stainless and pretty thick.

5 pointsI got some quality time with both horses today. The C195 got put on lawn sweeper duty, and the 14-8 got tapped for plow duty. Why this division of labor? The plow does not fit the C195. The leaves were to wet to burn, so I piled them along the fence at the back of the property. I'll worry about what to do with them in the spring - they will end up burned, or being run through the shredder. This is the longest I've run the C195 since I got it. I'm getting more confidence in it. I am assuming that it is normal for an Eaton 1100 to have a slight whine as the tractor accelerates from a stop. It is quiet when everything is up to speed. The C195 is nowhere near as menurvible as the 14-8, though. Has a lot of understeer too. Tri ribs or front wheel weights might help that. Then again, maybe a new set of turf savers that don't have aged, rock hard tread might help. Using the plow to push the sweeper dump piles around worked out well enough that I think I'll fab up a leaf plow for next fall. I'll see if I can design it so I can use it on either tractor. The hydraulic lift on the C195 sure will make an implement like that easier to use than the lift lever on the 14-8.

5 points@JCM Jim and I spent some more time bringing the recently aquired 417A to life. Popped the seat pan off. He did a bunch of foreign matter removal. We ran a new fuel line. Checked the fluids. After after using a special, little known priming method we got fire breathing through the KT17 again. After checking things over a bit more we decided to take it out for a shake down run.

5 pointsOh yeah I figured. I added up the known visual capacity of all those tanks. I was quite sure it was right around 29.9.

5 pointsAt 14.4 volts the voltage regulator should shut the charging off so no amperage flow which is what the meter reads. It will likely still be charging but only 1/10ths of an amp which can not be read on the meter. That is why the voltmeter has become the preferred charging system meter. That same 1/10th of an amp will raise the battery voltage from 12 to 14.4 volts which is easily noticed. If you decide to replace the ammeter with a voltmeter they are wired different. The original ammeter is really a voltmeter. Between the posts is a resistor which all the current passes through. The meter reads the voltage drop across the resistor which is proportional to the current flow through the resistor. The ammeter is scaled to display the results in amps. When an ammeter fails often the first noticeable condition is there is no battery power to the ignition switch. The resistor has failed. In your case the meter has likely failed.

4 pointsAfter taking that 21" wide 10 point in 2018, I was not going to mount another buck. But this years was kind of unique, and he was my number 50 whitetail buck, so another one goes on the wall. Got some prelim. work started on the form today.

4 pointsMine too... I do have that old A/C unit in the 'machine shop' part, but that's it. No air or heat in the service areas. Love my Carhart coveralls! Thinking about picking up them "Arctic" ones that I saw. Let's see... they cost about 14 packs of smokes, I should be able to afford them in another 2 weeks! (I'm starting "Step 3" tomorrow! One month down)
