Since my raider is finally up and running, It's time to show you my pull behind grader blade in action. That has been long overdue. I still need some practice, but it works pretty good. the blade can be angled. It has a lowering limit you can adjust apart from the multiple height positions. Happy Thanksgiving all! I was looking up the specs on a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette 396 V-8 Turbo-Jet tonight and the spec sheet I found only listed Brake Horse Power. I wanted the real "to-the-road" numbers so naturally I looked it up. That's when it hit me. All machines are rated in relation to, "THE POWER OF A WHEEL HORSE" Wheel Horse Power.

Today I drove my first horse for the first time. I have her almost a complete year. But transmission and fuel problems caused a serious delay on the first drive. Luckily today was the day DSC_0629_Trim.mp4 PS: don't mind my hair, I need to see the Barber ASAP. they have strict rules due to covid.

I still have the Savage model 24 ( .22 / .410) over / under that my Dad gave me on Christmas Day..1954. My two sons and four grandsons used the Savage to learn to safely handle and shoot a firearm.

Good choice! Good idea! I got my son a Rossi break barrel with interchangeable barrels (.22 / .410) when he was 10. Can get larger bore barrels as well… Resin stock, lightweight and very safe to learn with as they carry it afield…Great for plinking squirrels…

Happy Thanksgiving! I have so much to be thankful for, good friends (though most of them are across state lines!), great family, and an amazing (and maybe too understanding) wife! As for Black Friday, Mrs. P and I thought maybe we should get the girls each a firearm for Christmas and of course hunter’s safety classes! We’re thinking a youth 350 Legend bolt action. There are a couple local small town gun stores, I’m going to try them before heading to the big city.

Haven't had much time for this one lately because I'm focused on my FILs Charger. Found some grip tape I forgot I had. Not enough to fully cover the footrests, so I tried what you see in the pics. Haven't made up my mind on it yet, but thought I'd throw up a pic anyway...

Picked up this 2018 Snapper rear engine rider the other day. Runs and drives like new, deck is smooth and quiet. Obviously it’s not my style so it’ll get sold to generate more funds for Wheel Horse stuff . May have to hang onto it till spring to get its full $$ potential. Got under it to see what the trans is like and it’s pretty much a CVT drive similar to a walk behind snow blower. Hardly seems stout enough to handle its own weight and that of a operator. Best part… is the cup holder!!

Out behind my garage there's a NEST! It's about a foot high and three feet across! I'm pretty sure those are WHEEL HORSE EGGS ! I had no idea they hatched from eggs !

Well well well…when the snow gets deep I’m sure my phone will ringing with people wanting their driveways cleared with my new Snapper !!

Working on the C160 Automatic today. I needed to move the seat back as much as possible for extra Bear 🐻 space. We don't use seat springs. Took them off and sold them last week. The rear seat spring pan mount holes at the hinge point are cracked some. I decided to attempt bolting the 1.5" structural square tubing in through the 4 new seat holes and also 4 other holes to hold the square tubing to the pan better. 4 short bolts go through the interior of the tubing and the pan. 4 long bolts go all the way through the pan, tubing and into the seat. Certainly much more sturdy and I've gained several inches of room. Next is to repair or replace the bracket where the latch catches. Then, clamps on the fuel system.

A lot of us wish we had that hair.

I have been laid up on the couch past week from having the tumor removed from kidney. My boy Jeffrey never left my side. He knew I wasn't feeling good.

I disagree my friend. Let's say for the sake of the argument that the '65 396 produced 350 WHP on the Vette. That's roughly 35 310-8's. I want to make that a thing: Them: "How much power she got?" ME: "About 35 310-8's." See?

The BBT took her trusty steed Pigpen 867 and the trailer out the forest and got a couple loads of firewood. After that she stacked it, and a few other loads. She's been working on getting paint plopped on the parts I need for my front hub conversion as well.

Light tinkering today. Made an idler for the final drive belt. Really don't need it, but I'm sure that belt will stretch like any other.

Managed to pick up a C121 that needs some work. Runs really rich, no air cleaner and needs a head gasket. But runs pretty smooth after it warms up just a bit and no smoke or engine noises. Needs a seat assembly too. I think I will end up moving my loader over to it, my 1277 is getting really tired and I don't want to tear it up. I will put it up on the workbench when the 310 comes off and it's getting close to done now.

BUT, some of the best lubrication advice around. Seems like this forum has a person for everything. ROCKS... Don

The seat bracket repair works well. I got the clamps on the fuel system..... But it ain't happy yet. @JCM you may remember when we picked this beast up the fuel pump was bypassed. I've had it connected and run it for just a few minutes, maybe 15 or 20 total since its arrival. The existing carb I had swapped out for a carb I rebuilt a few years ago. Turned out that had a broken linkage at the top. Some of you may recall the horrifically loose one that was on Cinnamon Horse when it came here. I had tried soldering the pieces together. Worked ok by vision but after a few minutes of Kohler vibration it came undone. So I rebuilt the carb from the C160 Automatic. That part's better..... but now the fuel pump doesn't keep up with the engine above 1/2 throttle or so. Fuel stream is pretty solid from tank to pump. From pump to carb it runs fine for a few minutes then I can see a fair amount of air bubbles on the way into the carb. I have a spare pump I'll try tomorrow.

I’ve shipped to my brother @Tractorhead a couple times. Always a great experience, but the tractor I sent got there quicker than a handful,of parts!

Honda's are like coca cola. here, their everywhere. prefer local find, so I can mesure. rather then online and have the wrong size.

some how the leaking fuelpump fixed itself! I am thinking gas leaking higher in the system was using the hose and pump to fall down. Listen her purring now!! I am SOO happy! DSC_0628_Trim.mp4

I've wondered a few times if the serpentine belt tensioners for autos could be used on our machines... I've got a few sitting around that aren't 'bad'.

I’ve been following this thread and I have to say your work is amazing. Very well thought out and detailed.

Small world. I just parted out a 1990's Toro push mower and have a plastic tank just like that laying on my workbench. It will become a nurse tank to test newly found engines.

Of course, I don't know what machines are popular (and plentiful in the dump) in your corner of Europe. Over here, we could scrounge for a Tekumseh tank. They were steel and attached easily to minibikes. I would imagine a Tek is fairly rare over there? We really should set-up a used parts pipeline to y'all.

She is back on the ground and looking more like a tractor again, still have things to finish up and but thought they would be easier on the floor. We cut 6 inches off the legs on the workbench to make it a better height and put my son's CC 784 up on it so we can get started on it.

Someone we all know and love wants to know if the new Snapper he picked up will plow snow to earn its keep till Spring time to sell comes around... ROFLMAO... (he doesn't really... but it was a good way to start a Happy Turkey day thread) Tony
