Six hours and 400 miles later ( round trip ). Need to give a shout out to Wheel horse Will for putting me on to this. One of my larger finds so far. All NOS , 90% Wheel Horse, 10% Kohler , lots of great stuff. Came from a closed dealership that was in business between 1975 and the early 2000's. Gonna be awhile till I get thru it all. I'm going to bed now......

Brought these 3 out for some sun today and got a picture while they were sunning themselves.

picked up a 94 Jeep Wrangler recently. More or less just a toy to tinker with. Probably won’t ever see much serious driving. It has a inline 6 with plenty of power so I’m hoping to make it my new tractor retriever. My question is have any of you had experience with these old Jeeps? I’ve already rust proofed the frame with rust oleum black. No serious rot anywhere. Little pin holes in the bottom of the frame rails, but after nearing on 30 years in the rust belt it’s still cleaner than most. It probably will spend winters in my driveway on plow duty. So further rot isn’t gonna be allowed to happen. also how many of you still drive stick? This is my first car with a manual.

Well it's Friday, the temperature here is 78, and I took all the running horses out of their stalls. Filling up with e-free gas, and getting ready for hibernation. I think this qualifies as a front end shot. The two remaining horses not shown are the 1967 REO, and the 1961 701, both of which are still in pieces and didn't want to come out of the stable.

Went to see my close friend. Countless hours and nights spent making love to it. My favorite and most proud of ,accomplishment as a woodworker. I was extremely happy to find it beautifully kept, and proudly displayed.It has oxidized into an astonishingly beautiful tone.

I question if these parts were handled properly during transport. Several of those boxes are clearly labeled "keep frozen" and that doesn't appear to be a reefer truck. Are you sure those pullies didn't spoil on the way back?

I was all over it from the moment I found the ad! I did pay more and drive more than normal but no regrets! Just too hard to find around here with both pto AND 3 point. I'm happy with it and I think no matter what it needs it's worth it. Wish I had more time... Thanks for your comments!

Never see them around here but this was within a days round trip AND it has the rear PTO AND the 3-point! I drove further and paid more than I've bought in better condition and a lot closer. But this is first I've seen for sale within a days drive. Had to have it! And I did something I would never recommend, I bought it without it running. So while I have a real good feeling for the seller I don't actually know what works... But, I'm pretty sure she'll all work but it will be a while before I have time to confirm. Model plate was not much help but I gather it is NOT an 84 since the hydro controls are placed like the 82-83 years but I have no idea which of those two years. Wish it had less rust but there's nothing here I can't fix with some time. If the hood is not a C-195 only then I'd swap hoods. Very pleased to have one but I can't explain why. I have NO interest in using it as a mower but if I had a 60" deck I might. I have NO rear pto driven attachments that fit it and while I have lots of clevis attachments I have NO CAT 0 implements to fit it! Not sure what all attachments there was but I've seen pics of a rear finish mower and a pretty big tiller. Wouldn't mind having a small brush cutter if they made one or if I could mod something. The larger tiller is interesting but I already have a WH rear tiller, a front and rear walk behind and 3-4 little ones. I suppose the 54" dozer blade would be nice. I'd love a mid-mount grader blade! I've read that some D model attachments can work but finding the C-195 was tough enough, I NEVER see any D stuff around here.

Out with the M16 and in with the kt16 which purrs like a kitten. it is a series 1 but doesn't burn nor leak a drop of oil. The engine block is heavier then me, 70kg/155pounds, I am 60kg/160pound.My back didn't like that to much. The engine bolted right in, the belt was an oem size, so fits perfect as well. the engine looks like it has find his home!

I just received the final edition of "Straight from the horses mouth" today. I have skimmed through it and it is more then I had hoped for! The advertisements are worth the price($49.00 on Amazon) but the background story is more then worth the price!! Thank you Mr. Martino for taking your time for putting this book together for us to look into the Wheel Horse tractor. Do you like my page marker?

Nephew came over this afternoon and brought his little guy . I think the pictures say it all .

Vine well over 100 years old still producing grapes. I remember as a child being told by my grandfather that his father already had told him it was there when he was a child. The only one left like that. This tree of the palm family was crucial to the vineyard maintenance. The leaves were split into thin “strings” and used to tie vines during pruning time. There was no string available to purchase so one had to be resourceful. It’s actually incredibly strong and resistant to rot.

Plenty of Regal and Sunrise Red on the shelf of my local ACE . Sadly, the price us up 39% from a year ago.....but hey, I'm gettin a 5.9% increase in my SS next year.

I have a feeling all the Regal Red is on one of those cargo ships waiting to get unloaded.

This shows where the flag attaches. The lift pushes the flag and tube plus the bottom of the snowthrower forward and since the top of the snowthrower pivots on the front hitch it forces the unit up.

Bob how fussy are you on looks? There aftermarket mufflers that would work if you can not find what you are looking for. Nice job on the restore.

I'm all for repair on everything possible. There's a line to be drawn in certain situations. That vintage of tractor is pretty common. Was it me I'd get a good replacement. You could ask around on here. Also could call Lincoln at A to Z Tractor in PA. I had a C111 hood at one point but I think it's gone north with @Oldskool Mike. Maybe @AMC RULES Craig has one? Or someone else who's going to @stevebo's Meet n Greet next week in CT. BBT and I will be there. I'd be happy to play transport for you.

The engine is sat on the chassis now already love the look of it lol.

This one's been used but babied, all original, paint included bought in 2002 from the original owner with a 48'' SD deck, Peco bagger and tine rake from a good childhood friend. I wonder who will be the next owner when I'm long gone ? All I have to say is please do not leave this awesome tractor OUTSIDE if any of you guy's become the next owner. Thanks

I have to respectfully disagree that the center hole has anything to do with keeping the wheel aligned other than while you are trying to bolt it up. I've run quite a good many sets of Wheels on different vehicles over the years where the center hole was substantially larger than the lineup hole on the vehicle. It occasionally presents a challenge trying to make sure all of the 5, 6 or even 8 lug nuts are properly seated. Once all the lug nuts are in place, the center hole has no holding power on Wheel position.

About 3-4 weeks ago, on my Thursday trip to Scotland, lost some of the electrics on the Hyundai Santa Fe. Electric windows wouldn't work. Heater/ac wouldn't. And it wouldn't start. Garage found the starter solenoid was shorting out. New starter fitted. Yesterday as I was about to go over, it refused to start. Same symptoms and starter dead, zilch, not a tweet. I was not a happy bunny . Phoned the garage and told they would try to collect it if they could. They didn't but I must admit I wasn't expecting them to. I know how busy they are. The owner and a mechanic landed up this afternoon. Replaced a fancy fuse, disconnected the starter and everything was working again. Connect the starter and pop went the fuse. Looks like another faulty starter. This one a brand new AC Delco. (Not Lucas, Squank, DougC. Sorry to disappoint you.) Si ordered another there and then. Should arrive, (I hope) Monday. So the Santa Fe is back at the garage and a Honda Civic Si's left me sits in its place. The rest of the afternoon was spent venting my wrath at AC Delco on some logs with the chainsaw and splitter.

Went to the old homestead. The new chestnut grove is growing fast , soon it will need to be thinned. Grapes have already been harvested and new wine is fermenting. The new walnut trees also already producing great sweet tasting walnuts.

No. Only Krylon Farm & Implement IH Red. Pretty good match, but as most all Krylon products in spray cans, they are lacquer based and will lift other non-cured paints just like paint remover. The Krylon Farm & Implement in the quart cans is alkyd, so you can add hardener. You can paint alkyd over lacquer, but not the reverse. The quart cans are a couple of shades lighter as well.

How about 2 1/2 one of mine is broken down waiting on parts. It will have to wait, too hard to move on just two wheels.

You are correct the diode cuts off half the AC it is choppy not suitable for electronics . The head lights are running on AC with voltage varying based on engine speed. (note how the get dimmer at idle). That also creates issues if you want to go LED as most 12v LEDs are DC only. Even hooking the LEDs direct to the battery may only be partially successful as the choppy DC charging may make them flicker..

Congrats, and welcome to the Super C Club @DennisThornton! I had all the same feelings you did when I bought my 195, didn't know what I would use it for, but dammit all if I didn't want one. I was lucky enough to find one in Indiana that a contact of mine picked up for me, and brought it as far as PA where I met him and lugged it the rest of the way to CT. It may not seem like there are many attachments or things to do with it yet, but give it some time, and keep an open mind and see what's out there. I was lucky to find a CAT 0 plow and harrow on FB marketplace, and I've made a handful of my own things. One of my favorites is a winch that is mounted to a 2" receiver, I've use it to pull out saplings, and it would come in great if I had a tractor stuck. I've been lucky to find some good deals and at the right times, but I have amassed all of these attachments since I got the C-195 at the tail end of 2019 and haven't spent a whole lot to do so. It's a great tractor that can do a lot, you'll enjoy it more than you know. Bringing it home from PA. Got a CAT 0 to 2 inch receiver attachment, and that has opened up so many opportunities to use this tractor. In the back this shows it with a salt spreader, which I have yet to get working, but am working on. My homemade winch attachment that hooks into the 2" reciever Plow and Harrow There is a special lift rod you will need, and you need a longer drive belt, but with these two things standard WH snowblowers will mount right up, and that KT19 can throw some snow. Moving firewood to the house is a lot easier with this 2" reciever rack designed for cars and trucks.

Apparently there is. David Brown, used to be a vendor on here "Daves Tractor World", and on eBay as Wheelhorseplethora, was at the last Big Show and told me that he had just bought out several more dealerships. It's there if you know where to look for it.

I ordered 6 cans of Krylon spray paint from Amazon about 6 months ago. The box was a "six-pack", factory sealed. One weighed 12 ounces, one weighed 10 ounces, and one weighed in at 8 ounces. They were all supposed to be 14 ounces net weight. The nozzles on two of the cans looked used. How does that happen in a sealed box? Amazon gave me my money back and told me to keep the paint.

Maybe a thin aluminum sheet on backside of hood for a heat sink then epoxy for repair of damaged area.

The retired steel wheel engineer here would not use these.

Thanks guys. I'm honored! Alive and better than ever! Long story but the short of it is I recently managed to get out of a very bad relationship, got my house and belongings back and my life back AND bought two more tractors! Great other than being about broke (cost a lot to rid myself of her!) but worth every penny! Oh! By the way! Recently took a trip from upstate NY to the Cincinnati area for my father's 90th birthday! One of the reasons I've had so little time. So where did we leave off? And how the heck do I get caught up?
