Howdy , yes its been awhile , I have so many projects going on , and it took awhile to get the scrap metal to make this build happen , but had time this week to get going on the first of the 2 implements I am building for the WH that will have one purpose and that is to Maintain my gravel road and drive way . This is not my Idea but it is based on a company that made these types of pull behind graders back in the 1950s and 60s in a much larger versions and with a twist of new versions that are built today with 3pt operation. I am waiting on 4 ripper teeth I ordered that will have 4 position adjustment that will be installed in the front 4 pockets , I plan on getting to the Hydraulic hoses and fittings this week ,the trans conversion has been done along with the spool and rear remotes so its just a matter of getting the hoses made and installed. I will say using scrap steel presents a lot of issues

My restored and modified 1967 867 and 1979 C-101. You can tell I drove a lot of Farmalls back in the late 50's when I was a teenager.

Picked this up a few years ago. It was a bit rough but it was intact and free. After I got it running it sat for another couple years, until I decided do something a month or so ago... I wanted a different look so this is where I went. Kenda Bear Claws in back, Carlyle X-TRACs up front. Changed pulley sizes for a top speed of 12-13 mph. Its alot of fun on the trails!

Was a long time down... but not anymore!

The one "feature" I can absolutely do without is the oh so annoying automatic stop - start that kills the engine at a stop light. Rented several with it - always had to find the defeat switch before I drove it. Surprise!!! Turn the car off, it defaults to stop - start mode! More annoying than a cranky in-law in the passenger seat .... Bill

First try at a rebuild.Decided to restore a k301 off a WH 12 auto. Motor was in ok shape not to many hrs but looked like it ran hot for a wile.Found mouse nest under the blower housing too. Nothing major.Piston,rod,rings and valves.removed the balance gears that were about ready to grenade .Runs decent but need to go back through the carb. Getting ready for paint is a chore.I prefer the old antique,rust,dirt and faded paint or as they say “patina” or what ever lol

Fully reclining front seats were my must have in my younger days. I'll let you imagine why.

I agree with @pacer and @ebinmaine it being so low mounted there was no leverage. So I had to take things into my own hands. I did some cutting , grinding and drilling. I hated to destroy someone's work of art but no one could identify it as an original part. And it works easy now just as the original one on my other c160 just a tad shorter. I still need to paint it but I'm happy. Thanks to everyone that replied to this.

About 2 months ago I bit the bullet and bought a 44" US General top and bottom chest, as well as the 14" side box to go along with it. This is my primary box at work, and I like for my box at work to be nice and organized where I can spend more time wrenching and less time digging for tools. I have tried just about every tool organizer out there, some work fairly well, while others are complete and total garbage. But I recently stumbled across a system while browsing YouTube that in my opinion is the greatest tool organization system I have ever tried. They're called Toolbox Widgets, and they are great for keeping everything organized, as well as saving precious drawer space for more tools, which is never a bad thing. I need to order a bunch more of the socket organizers to take the place of the big bulky peg trays from Harbor Freight that most of my sockets currently live on. If you are like me and enjoy working out of a clean well laid out box, then you might want to look into these. Feel free to show off your favorite tool organization setups, both from a store and homebrew ideas as well.

The best accessory that they could come up with is a devise to kill cell phones when the motor is running. Or the idiots that use them.

Back up camera for old guys that have the non rotating neck. A must for parking real trucks in tight parking spaces and for trailer hook up.

Guess that's why they try to make mowers fool proof.

Interesting discussion for me... 'cause besides being a Wheel Horse nut, I am also a Ford gearhead... Some of you guys have seen this before... if so... you can clean your fingernails while you look... LOL Our truck is one BIG accessory. Exhaust, that is the best accessory I have bought/made. Flowmaster cat. converters, Super 10 mufflers all the way, with custom fabricated exhaust piping. Sounds totally awesome... Don

I gave this one a set of teeth. I was getting tired of using a pitchfork, so I made a 4 foot wide pitchfork. That'll move those piles of cow shed hay and straw bedding a lot faster than me and my 2 hands. I made it so I can remove or install it pretty quick and easy. it slides into the bucket, under that strip of angle iron in the back and pop in 3 bolts along the front, and its ready to rock and roll. and you observe right... my welds are good enough and not much better.

Hello from the Mid Hudson Valley, Everybody... I was looking for a tractor for hauling out small to medium roots, haul some large wooden frames from a garage, and do some snow removal. After lurking around on all the familiar outlets like craigslist and facebook marketplace ( I have given up on eBay some time ago, except for parts) I settled in on Wheel Horse. There seems to be a fare basis of them around the NY, CT area. I picked up one from craigslist today, a 416-8 that undoubtedly been ridden hard and put away wet, but it runs, and it is paid for. The gent I bought it from makes a bit of a market in them and I ended up with an extra set of wheels, 55lb wheel weights, and some extra parts. I will go back for a mower deck, plow, and/or snowblower. Glad to be here and see you around... PJ

Did you ever take off all of the engine tins? I'd suggest that MAY be one of the over-heating issues. Just a thought.

Back up camera, my truck doesn't have one but my son has one and it is a real nice feature. Lived all through the clutch days and it was okay but now I just want to ride along. I know it is tough no to repair the new ones, but I don't want to go back to the good old days! Comfort, power, economy, and safety, much improvement over the years.

4 speed manual with a chrome shifter,vent windows and a rear sliding window. Just make sure there is nothing like money or paperwork on the seat when going down the road when you open all 3 up, the stuff flies right out the sliding window.

Yep. I like being able to lower the cabin temp to stay more alert and still be comfortable. Been livin' without since our first minivan in '94. I enjoyed manual shifting a lot, and I miss the feeling of control, but have to acknowledge that the newer automatics' fuel efficiency, smooth operation, convenience in traffic, and ruggedness are terrific. Also like the daytime running lights (front and rear) and that the headlights go on by themselves when it gets dark and off when it gets light! Lastly, I owe a recreational beverage to the inventor of Rain-X windshield treatment. Safer driving and vastly decreased wiper wear!

This handle is what is on the D's ..... and oddly enough on my Massey the handle is very similar but enough difference to not interchange, and I broke one of the MF's (they are potmetal/Zamac? - fragile!) Using the pieces glued back together I used it to make one on the mill. Heh, I DID have to make - IIRC - 4 "prototypes"

@BOB ELLISON looks custom. really got me thinking a bit, if you extend the handle up, like a hydro handle, just might be okay. And then I started thinking if it would be cool to have on some kind of foot control? that is when my wife says I get in trouble.....when I start thinking!

Husband mowed the yard for what might be the last for this year, then switched to digging potatoes!!! Not a great turnout!!!😂. Was pretty dry and hot for awhile this year and they just didn’t do well! I don’t think he really cared just another excuse to play! Lol.. He will be on a 8 hour round trip tomorrow bringing home another wheel horse trailer!!! But still looking for a nice four wheel trailer!

I couldnt ask for a better tractor. This thing has treated me well over the last few years.
