18 pointsAdded some traction bars to my Raider 12 plow tractor. Actually I added this to strengthen the F plate tranny mount.

11 pointsAnother tractor from @Shed jumped on my truck today! A 1959 RJ-59 same year I was born! It has the original plow, seat, tires, and engine which is not installed. Original engine has compression but won't start. Currently has a Briggs in it which does run. He got it from an old man that kept it in a barn. Original parts on it are in excellent condition for it's age. Just like me!

8 pointsWe went out for a Anual School meeting of Mrs. Tractorhead. It was a great meeting and i get in a Closer discuss with one of her Class Mates. We came to a discuss where he meants he need a small Tracta to exchange a wheelbarrow for his Wife. She opened a small grocery Store where se directly sell things from her own Harvest and from few Farmers arround. We both have a Beer in hands and we talking about the Tractas while he is planing, yeah until we talked, i see an Old Van aside. I remembered in my First Job training i drove this Van and longer in my first job and i loved it. Since than i allway‘s searching for a good usable one what is worth to restore but they be that quickly removed from the Roads. like over night they be - zzzzap - hidden or damaged or completely rusted. After i told him about that Story he asked - ya want it? I have such mass of Projects i must give this one up, no Time so it appears we can make a Deal. I meant - no Way, it appears a good Base, so we came up for a Cool Deal. We do a Red for Red exchange. Two shakeing Hands and a hit woth the Beer later we‘re done. Now i be an owner of a cool Old Van that needs a little Love and Care and he gets my 212 Horse after a little rework ( new Belt and Pulley’s) for his Wife. The 212 shall be used to collect harvested goods without a Wheelbarrow, instead she can ride it in future with a small Trailer in the Back.

7 pointsI couldnt ask for a better tractor. This thing has treated me well over the last few years.

7 pointsA day without injury for @pullstart means he is babysitting or in bed sleeping of the injury from a previous day.
-
7 pointsSounds like the uniform provided at; " pullstart Plumbing & HVAC." Where the motto is: "We will get your install done providing there are no tractors, school busses or Coke Machines for sale on the way!"

7 pointsMy daughter caught me welding in Crocs the other day. She asked me if I was crazy... Then laughed hysterically when I started dancing. Some things are earned, and life is tougher if you're stupid.

5 pointsSo I got this dropped of in my yard today. I have never owed one before, i know nothing about them or it for that matter. You guys know the story... ran years ago when it was parked. Case 224 with deck, snow blower, and a Sears rear mount rototiller. Any advice or knowledge anyone wants to pass along I would appreciate. See if I can't get it running and driving again. Thanks

5 pointsI don’t believe that’s true, but then again I was wrong once before. In the late 80’s I think it was 😂😜

5 pointsHey guys, remember me? Long time since I've been here. Hope everyone is well! The rusted muffler on my '89 310-8 has been bugging me since I got it last year. I don't want to lose it, they're too pricey to replace. Today, I finally removed it, cleaned it up and painted it. I was happy to see no rust on the baffles from both the input and output side. You can see how bad the pitting was, but it still completely solid! Hoping this will give it a few more years of life! And last weekend, I made a 3/4-assed trailer hitch for my generator. She lives in the backyard, and dragging it all the way around the house to the garage, makes me never service it. Some powder coated 2" square tubing hacked off an old piece of exercise equipment, 2 aluminum plates epoxied together and machined to size, a few 5/16" holes, a 3/8" pin cross-drilled for hitch clips and presto! I will now regularly service my generator. (Also an excuse for more seat time!!!) That block on top of the tractor side of the hitch; I was going to grind off the welds and chuck it, but well... no need. It works perfectly. Leaving it.

5 pointsWell moving right along. All the electrical is done. New carb and throttle and choke cables. Got everything painted even the hood. I got a hub. Its the little things that takes so long. I do have to confess I cheated on the painting. I got a quart of regal red and brush painted the undersides of the finder, belt cover and hood. But they look pretty good. I just had to stop the rust. The hood really doesn't look that good because I didn't prime it first. The old paint was so thick a wire wheel took forever to get it off. and but I waited to long to start on it. I hope to have it running by next week.

4 pointsPut a new filter on, rejetted, put some new rubbers on the front... (I like these front tires better than the other ones I had on it)... and taught a family member (who is camera shy... refused to be photographed... LOL) how to drive the HellHorse... Oh, and I put an exhaust sleeve on it to keep from burning myself over and over... Don

4 pointsI put a seat on that I had in my garage. Not a WH seat but way more comfortable then what was on it. I also put the plow on it.

4 pointsGo LED for the lights. Tail lights require you to drill out the existing tail light holder. I reattached with screws. Also need to attach the ground wire since the old sockets were grounded through the socket rivets. I found heat shrink solder sleeves to attach the existing power connector. Headlights should be a direct replacement. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VT85Q0G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R88B64W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 As far as the seat, mine have been torn, but not so bad that I was able to just use a simple seat cover.

4 pointsD_Mac It came out great. Shined up nicely. What is the plan for the seat? Enjoy it. It reminds me of this I had at one time.

4 pointsNot sure Jim. The flyer belongs to Bob F., a 93yo good friend of mine. It is kept in my next door neighbors barn and he delivers it to shows for Bob. It does run...the wings flap. the prop spins, and the wheels do drive. It will fly on a few select low gravity planets, unfortunately Earth is not one of them.

4 pointsLooking good just needs some maintenance on the deck to quiet it down some.

4 pointsWell ,all finished .I used corse mesh fiberglass tape I had laying around then filled in with Bondo then sanded flat. I then used JB weld to skim coat ,sanded smooth, primer and paint. Nor perfect and Not sure how long it will last but it should do for now. Hats off to the guys that can do restoration on these tractors. It sure does take a lot of time and work and patients something I don’t have .

3 pointsWell I started tearing down my FREE 1984 Work Horse GT-1600 today, since my welder/ machinist has my 48 inch SD deck for my 1994 520H, and that project is on hold. When I first acquired the Work Horse I only messed with it enough to determine that the twin Briggs WOULD RUN... So far hood off, seat, seat pan, gas tank, transmission console cover, foot boards, drive belt guard,

3 pointsWas over visiting my grandmother this evening. A couple years back, my grandfather passed away, and my family helps take care of my grandmother. I went into his shop for nostalgic reasons (spent a lot of time with him out there when I was a thigh-high). A lot of the stuff was cleaned out by family, but there still is a good amount in there, which my grandmother is always telling us to take what we want. When I was in there, I spotted this vintage oiler on the bench. I've been considering picking one up lately, so it almost felt like it was meant to be, how it was sitting perfectly in the middle of the bench when I went in. I know its probably not anything special or expensive, but the sentimental value is priceless. Not sure what this "Rainbow" brand is, but I love the patina and the color. Will clean it up and put it to use in my garage.

3 pointsHusband mowed the yard for what might be the last for this year, then switched to digging potatoes!!! Not a great turnout!!!😂. Was pretty dry and hot for awhile this year and they just didn’t do well! I don’t think he really cared just another excuse to play! Lol.. He will be on a 8 hour round trip tomorrow bringing home another wheel horse trailer!!! But still looking for a nice four wheel trailer!

3 pointsI have Richard’s 953 with the 8 speed now… it’s still kickin’! I also have a 953/1054 or two that will be getting 6 or 8 speeds, so the differentials might be available.

3 pointsIt was good to see you Friday at the show Ed. Brian and Jo made an appearance, and I took a few pictures. Starting with the real tractors, then moving on.

3 pointsLooks like somebody took the time to keep the bottom side of that van rinsed clean with water. That’s all I’ve ever done with my 30 year old pick up truck. I live in the rust belt and any time I got in salt or mud I immediately pulled out the garden hose and gently rinsed away the salt and mud. It still looks like brand new under there after all these years.
-
3 pointsLooks like the entrance to his W-H bunker there. Probably jam packed full of W-H tractors.

3 pointsOne time I thought about a deal... getting a van for my wife. I didn't do it. I still have the wife.

3 pointsYes we have them. We raised and released 40 of them this year... That is why I wait until the milkweed has gone to seed. want to encourage more to grow next year..

3 pointsLooks great, like the look. I might add Air Ride. Thats a 16x6.50-8 tube with 2 psi on top of the seat cover. Kind of a whoopee cushion/ hemmoroid crater thing.
