So I don’t mind giving back in some small way. I have this little hobby making cups. While they aren’t perfect by no means, they turn out ok. Here is one that was an experiment that I decided to giveaway. A little 12oz tumbler. So post “in” if you’re a supporter and your name goes on the list. I’ll do a drawing on October 1st. since using a paper mask while cutting , I am no longer stuffed up and loaded with sneezing and coughing from related cutting issues. between the humidity and the possible dust up while cutting , my eyes were itchy , since changing to a facial wash , after cutting and using a mask , all related pollen issues have stopped . really simple just to mask up and wash down your face after cutting , every time I DO NOT do this ,I SINUS UP with related eye itching and sinus stuffing . just trying to stop a cutting related problem , works for me . pete

In Wheel Horse news, the lousy COVID has finally moved on so I hit the garage in 90% humidity and got the transport system just about attached. Only need to get that running assembly stripped and painted and she's finally ready for testing - and to be put away for the season. I do like that Sunrise Red...

Hello all. I haven't been on the group for quite some time because my wheel horse hasn't had anything new or any trouble occuring. However I recently added a second horse to the garage. It is a raider 10 that has had a command swap and some pretty spectacular duals. I traded it off of my friend for my wrecked simplicity 7790 diesel. He built it about 3 years ago and it sat for 2. All it needed was the battery charge and it even ran on the 2 year old gas. I call it Home-brew because it been made from bits and pieces of various tractors.

I don't know if you ever heard of this before, but a few years a ago a woman from Minnesota called into a local radio station. She was complaining about all the deer in their area and the fact that the Minnesota DNR was placing all of these "DEER CROSSING" signs, forcing the deer to cross in extremely dangerous places. She was wondering if they could put the crossings in safer places.

I'm glad nobody was hurt, but I am also glad that I do not live down there by you ! I am old enough to remember when they could not vote, and I am still old enough to know that they can not drive. I see them driving around at speeds in little cars that scare me. I hate to ride with my wife, my finger prints are still in the panic handle...I am afraid to say anything at this point, I have become a light sleeper. Poor Gazebo, they are usually built pretty good and they are not usually in anybody's line of sight. Poor tree also. Again...glad no personal injuries. Disclaimer...I am kidding. This woman driver drove into my house 5 years ago. She thought she was hitting the brake...not so. I was in the Man-Cave in the basement just below where that truck hit. Woman was OK.

The other thing that's a big symbol to me of my local area is of course, the mountains. Here are three shots with descriptions. This is a view from the top of Burnt Meadow Mountain in Brownfield facing the hills that we live on. The nearest ridge that goes from lower left to upper right is Stone Mountain. The bumps in the distance that are on the left hand side are where we reside. The one on the left is either Misery or Gould. I can never remember. The tallest one in the middle there is Bill Merrell Mountain. This is a view from the south side of Bill Merrell Mountain. We live about 2 mi south, southeast of this point. This is from the top of Mount Cutler over in East Hiram. The village that you see is at the intersection of Route 113, and 117. So Trina asked me why I wanted those pics. I told her what you folks were up to and asked if she wanted to contribute what came to mind for her as far as our local area. Here are hers... Of course she had to include a couple of cool cars. Local shopping plaza. Walgreens right down the street from there. I don't really have a good scale to give you on this particular tree frog but for our area it was massive. Roughly 2 in long. Quite a bit larger than normal... She took this pic just yesterday or the day before. Right in our backyard.

Painted the 6" wheels for my 310 the other day then mounted tires yesterday. These 6" tires were so freaking tight going on, I was about throw them in the trash!!! I have mounted a crap load of tires and these were the worst ever!! I'm guessing they had a hard time converting inches to metric in china where they were made I am guessing!! I thought I had pics of them mounted, guess I will post those tomorrow. Randy

Tested out my homemade mulcher deck for my aunt's 312 and it was a succes! Clippings are greatly reduced.

Just thought it would be nice to have a thread on pictures of our home towns doesn’t have to have tractors in it but that would be a bonus! I recently purchased a new truck and decided to take my Work Horse to the beach. So many of us are proud of where we live, so post em up. God bless America!

One of my cousins received an Amazon Alexa from his kids. After a few days of having that thing around his email was clogged with ads and he found that the vast majority of the "shopping suggestions" it made were the most expensive items on the face of the earth. It is now on the shelf in the garage and only comes back in the house if the daughter is visiting!

I know this probably is considered horse abuse but I moved close to 500lbs gravel up my driveway today. Poor 310 was popping wheelies moving that weight. Ended up getting stuck more than once lol

I had my wife going with that one... I asked her the question and she thought about it for about 30 seconds... she had that "WTH is wrong with you" look on her face and then realized I was pulling her leg. Funny!

I think in order for it to cure correctly it should be delivered directly to my house. I will make sure it cures correctly… Oh… you want it back…?

You're darned tootin' Joe. You have to come to Maryland to get the best crab cakes. However, even in Maryland, not all crab cakes are Jumbo Lump cakes. Places like G&M are well-known to make "real" crab cakes, not wanna be's.

I started using a mask a few years ago for the same reason. It is amazing how much stuff flies around when you cut the grass. I started using a gater style mask last year and like it better than the med style mask. My 414-8 with 42"sd deck throws lots of dust forward of the tractor. I have not been able to figure out a solution for this so I will wear a mask.

I'm just sorta lazy. The wiring isn't hard, but so many times my harness looks great, and then I find a flaw. Turns into a bird nest!

Went down the inner harbor last month to see the Angles play at Candem Yards. Of course we stopped on the way at GM Restaurant and got some Crab cakes, and cream of crab soup, and steak.......well anyway spent a little time out there when our company had their corp. offices in Baltimore. There is not much here in SWPA that even comes close to those crab joints out there. Real lumps in those cakes!

First pic shows a trailer my Father and I built to use behind his Porter Cable MK 26. (My nephews and nieces are in the trailer and "driving" (circa 1965) Second picture is my niece on Father's brand new L-107 (May 1967) Last two are same girl today on the same L-107. Note the trailer has new wheels/axle setup but, body is the same, just some paint. It is my chore tractor and used year round.. Trailer was made of T-111 left over from the construction of the porch in the background of first picture.

Started on the electrical this weekend. This console came from a 518-H, so only 3 gauges. With that, and the sensors I have for this engine- I stuck with the basics. Hour meter, voltmeter, and oil pressure. Gotta figure out if I can put a "T" in the oil port, because I want to keep the pressure kill switch. Anyway, now I'm building a wiring harness. I hate the electrical part!

Started on converting my leaf vac for my father in law. I don't have leaves at the new place like I had before, so I never use it anymore. Took all the casters off and made it into an unpowered trailer. Planning to convert the vac portion to run off the PTO. Gotta make a new hitch for that part...

I tried the night crabbin thing a few years back. The skeeters bit better than the crabs.

I've got about a gajillion pics. I think a moose in the wild really displays what Maine is all about for me.

First trip was a success. We went to a small lake about 25 miles from home, spent Friday and Saturday night out there. Did some fishing, but not much luck, which I knew would be the case, this particular lake you really need a boat if you want to catch many fish. But we still had a good time with no major mishaps

Got this tractor had no decals and the front wheel horse wasn’t painted. Decals from redo your horse. Nice Quality. The thumb screws for the hood had bolts but we were able to get some reproduction thumb screws later on eBay and I have since been put on

Worked on the 875 today. We replaced the engine and been working out some bugs. Confirmed that the new engine I got from @squonkruns great and it does move forward and backwards. Just have a few more small things to look at. Should be coming home soon. I also painted the rims on the spare set of tires and wheels.. These will be going on the 875 as well.

Cleaned the carb on the go to 1077. Only would run on choke. Shoulda done it when I got it 3 years ago when the PO told me he cleaned it. His idea of a carb cleaning was a shot of air down the main needle hole. Word of advise if using the cheap carb kits off flea bay that @Shynon dearly loves just use the bowl gaskets and s can the rest. If you think you need the rest use a OEM Kohler kit. Swiss watch now.

Last day, heading home tomorrow. Great week with the famiy at the beach house. Four different families during the week. Big crowds on the beach. The hard shells were plentiful this year.

If you decide to try to lube your Bendix on the the starter do not use a liquid lubricant. The results will not be good. You will want to use dry graphite powder to lube the Bendix.

Looks like you had a very successful first outing! Congrats (and a tip of the hat to your spouse for spotting that very handsome camper--the truck, that is). BTW, I've heard that the activity is called "fishing" and not "catching" for a reason!

Finished my 42-SMS Sickle Mower rebuild for Rodney Burger (lawnman_56) Turned out pretty good. I put one of my new sickle drive pins in the wobble box and blade. I have a few for sale listed in Red Square Classifieds. I also ran the 702 and 854 . Cleaned them up to take to a couple shows this fall. I also started to install my gas tank on my restored Wheel Horse RJ hood. I had to cut off the rusted bolts on the gas tank straps Going to install tank, sediment bowl and new gas line. Hood will go on RJ in pictures.
