6 pointsYep, I'm still doing it! This true barn find jumped in my truck today, and it purrs like a kitten! 1 of only 200 produced. '86 Wheel-Horse model 420-LSE. Limited Special Edition.

5 pointsMods you can take down after tomorrow! Was not sure where to put it ?I am ready! It is a tent for a generator. Can be used in rain and snow. Maybe try it out tomorrow. Hope you enjoy the picks.

5 pointsSo I picked a couple of these up at TSC. Look and sound great on the 1075 and the 500 Special. Need to go back and get two more. Now instead of yelling g at my dog to " get out of the way " I honk !!

4 pointsGot the stand assembled and the outdoor unit mounted on it for the new shop system. Nice way to mount them but hard to justify the 150 cost. This one is a free one sent to me my the manufactured to test out and evaluate.

4 pointsFirst time using the box blade with the 312! Went pretty well overall. Jack and I helped out the grandparents place leveling a small corner where a pool used to be. They will be laying sod later when the temps cool a little. But it was fun putting the tractors to work. Forgot to do a before and after pic...so these are just some random pics throughout the job... Jacks Montgomery Ward lawn tractor we saved a while back has been a great cart hauler for jobs like this when two tractors are needed. We had fun working the tractors together! We removed about 10 cart loads of dirt/sand! A good day in the books!

4 pointsGot my bike bell on my 857. And if they don't get out of the way there is a Harbor Fright Bad Boy air horn under the seat!

4 pointsChicks dig scars! @pullstart You bet they do!! I've had 2 hernias...one on each side...I could sell tickets. I've also had a ruptured navel. It looks like a smiley face. I've made money on showing that one. I don't remember having to wait for the surgery, actually, I'm surprised they don't want a take from me showing the scars. Speaking of scars...the vasectomy ones have the hugest draw...drilling a hole in your hand???...I just can't imagine have to wait to see that.

4 pointsBig House and Garden Service day. Firstly mowing the complete Area with the Wheelhorse of corse... Than inspecting my little Field closer and kill some of the brown Snails, they tend to harvest my goods... refueling jump over to the Iseki and cutting the Hedge... think i must a little improve the Leveling situation on the FEL.... but however it works for me - no Backpain after 70 meters of Hedge.... The uneven roadside wobbles hard, what causes in a Waveform while cutting.... Than i jumped over to cleanup the Areal with the Wheelhorse after the Cut... Next was Harvesting few Goods for today‘s meal... and i found a Visitor while cleaning the Wheelhorse... at least i do a Trailride with my Thermocam on a long Stick if i will find hidden Faws, because they wanna Mow later. Thanks to my Wheelhorse i can ride all the Way in different speeds to get a Feeling for the needed flightspeed for my Thermal Copter Project. Along the complete Forrest ( about 2Km...) so i was able to get a Feeling for the Copter flight speed and needed Flighttime. overall in 3 Passes i need about 8 minutes for one Section, that results in a needed Flighttime for about 50 min at all. (Takeoff, Start to first Waypoint, Scan the Area and back to Landing Zone and Land) And the Tequila still grows... 😎

4 pointsAll funny stuff but in reality it has nothing to do with today's world or current events. Today they are basically used as decoration although they are really efficient at their intended purpose. Here it may seem primitive and archaic but they were still used when I was a child at a time and place where we did not have all the amenities , comfort, and convenience of today's world that really have spoiled us and make us oblivious as to where we came from or who we really are . Most households had at least one, my grandparents homes being some of those. I fondly remember using them and watching family members use them also.It is thousands of years old in design and functionality and, essentially although there is no need for it now it will never lose its functionality, a testament to the cultures that first used it. With some luck you may be able to find a photo of one or similar on line but I seriously doubt that there will be a description of how it's used and how it worked although that is ridiculously simple. It is a simple fired clay vessel without any glazing inside or out. It is prominently displayed here in my house next to the other numerous artifacts such as yokes, tools whether woodworking or agricultural or otherwise but all related to my culture, upbringing and general love and interest for how life used to be.

3 pointsI bought a 1056 a couple of years ago and maybe did not respect the tractor as much as i should. The Raider 10 was still going strong and was my go to tractor. This one was on marketplace and 130 miles away, so i told the guy to please respect my long travel and wait for me and all that. He advertised it as a 12 horsepower and said it ran. It was a 10 and didn't. I expressed my disappointment, and he immediately knocked the $200 ask down to 150. He was also going to get it to start . He said he would, anyway So the Mighty Cummins was commissioned for the rustlin' trip and the 1056 still did not start, but i figured the parts were worth that with a deck pulley that is very expensive, and he threw in the coil he bought to allegedly get it to start. I returned it for $25 with the receipt in the box, so now it is seeming like a bargain. Now for the reason it is such a beast. The side drive on this thing has a short and readily available reasonably priced belt when compared to a mule drive pulley system out the front. The engagement lever hooks up very tightly as well. So long as you clean and lube the mower deck clutch that is spring activated, the thing will not burn belts or break anything. I had to mow a neglected yard that has not been mowed all year. The pattern was mow forward twenty feet, go in reverse to trim off the remainders, and she took that stuff right down. After the opening cut, half passes kept the cuttings from plugging the mower. The engine did fine pulling that load [42" SD] especially when you consider that is a 4 speed transmission. It might use a bit of oil, but all in all, a solid runner. I am not finding bargains like this any longer, maybe due to the new riding mower shortage

3 pointsFinally took an afternoon to get the tarp garage put up over the truck. We've been holding off because it isn't quite where I wanted it... But.... It's been a very wet summer and the truck does leak a bit. More rain coming in Sunday and Monday. Maybe in the spring when the truck is going we'll move it over a foot or 3. The shelter measures 13 x 20 at the floor with a high ceiling. There'll be enough space beside the vehicle to park other things like a tractor or other yard equipment. I plan on putting 4' LED lights overhead at some point. It'll end up being the workshop of sorts for the truck. I left the ends off for now. They'll be installed later in the fall. Because the truck doesn't move we had to modify the construction process a skosh. We built the top frame in the driveway and added 8 of 12 legs. We then moved the frame over the top of the truck to finish assembly.

3 pointsI am going to say this. When my Mom was alive, I was the care giver. I drove her to all of her appointments for over 20 years, and stayed with her through the surgeries. All of her doctors were excellent...heart plumbers & electricians, gastric, skin guys, and her main Primary Care. Yes, sometimes you have to wait longer then you think you should have to...sometimes they over book...but when you have good Doctors...you know, and when you don't, you know also. We fired a primary care guy for her...the guy was a jerk. It took some talking to nurses and some of her other Doctors, but the truth came out finally, and the Hospital Board suspended his license to practice in Elgin, Ill. hospitals. My Mom was a sweetheart, and these people knew her and stood up. It is possible to do this, but it is not easy to blackball one of their own. I have a feeling, we were not the 1st to complain. On the other side, I have walked out of offices where I've had an appointment and the waiting time was excessive. I've just told the receptionist..."My time is valuable also...I have to go." These were not Doctors that may get caught in emergency issues...that would be understandable. One time I was waiting for a surgery...scheduled for like 8:00AM...Doctor had an emergency that took him 3 hours. Nurses let me know what they could, but they did not know either. Ended up being like noon for the surgery... @pullstart Not a scar I can show chicks...things happen and all you can do is hope the Dr. is alright. Moral...if you do not like your Dr., do not hesitate to get another. If you like your Dr., then by all means, take a book to your waiting room. Ask yourself this question...why would you go under the knife for somebody you don't trust. AND...why would you want to upset the Dr. and his staff, that you like?? Remember, this guy can lift up the banky and show the nurses how small you are.

3 pointsSometimes you can tap a Torx bit into the damaged hex hole with enough bite to remove the plug.

3 pointsIs that frame strong enough to be able to screw sheet metal to? Like you would use on a pole barn. if you know of any lumber yards or contractors, sometimes you can get cover sheets from them at a lower price.
-
3 pointsWell, the votes are in. Looks like I will keep it What would be my best source for another set of tires to replace the 50 year old ones on it? And that would look like original equipment? --Dave Q

2 pointsPurchased this little 400 a couple weeks back from Andy Sutherlin. Thanks to Zach Edwardson for picking it up for me. Been cleaning and adding a few items to it. Someone put water slide decals on which were coming off and incorrect. Thanks Terry at www.redoyourhorse.com for decals. Plus it had the wrong length of exhaust pipe and missing heat shield. Thanks to John Delarye for hooking me up with the shield. Yes, the engine is incorrect but is a very nice running Lauson 4 HP. So it will stay on the tractor. First four pictures are when it arrived at the stable. Last picture is with it all done. Still need to do some work on rims. video-1628471348.mp4

2 pointsMultiples of each... what else is there? LOL! I'm too old for dirt bikes! 🤣😂🤣😂

2 pointsI'd bet the next patient after me had to wait longer because the doctors and nurses were probably LTFAO for a while. Went in for an emergency surgery to remove my appendix. I was totally unprepared at the time and have a bunch of excuses for not being manscaped. Some poor soul had to shave that entire area and went down just to the top of the ......... and left the rest alone. When I got home later that day and took a look down there, It looked like Larry from the 3 stooges or maybe Einstein! I ran out laughing to show the O'lady and she laughed her @ss off too.

2 pointsTrue, legit Pennsylvania barn find. Been in the same family it's whole life. Purchased from his uncle(original owner)when he was 9 years old. Tucked away in the barn ever since. Uncle worked it, has 750ish hours on the meter. Young man did a fine job of preserving it for me. Wanted one I could work without feeling guilty about it. Oh! Did I say, that 20hp Kohler purrs like a kitten? So easy to see... we love it already. 👍👍

2 pointsI think I see the blower lift assist spring now. Wow, lucky you don't have hydraulic lift....that could have been ugly.

2 pointsWell, I tried that, turns out it was just a bonehead error. I never took my snowblower “flag” off so that was wedging between the deck and the frame.
-
2 pointsI totally get where you are coming from, but you have helped me so much already. I am thinking the geyser of fuel was stuff I kept adding to get it to start because the fuel pump wasn’t working. I also noticed even though I stabilized the gas it went bad so I am draining it. I also noticed I put the throttle cable spring in the wrong hole. Honestly most of this is my fault, I jump to conclusions and get excited to start it and don’t wait to get any opinions from you. I will try to make myself wait and more patient.

2 pointsAgain, when I started at the hospital we had a great CEO and VP of operations. A lot of co-workers used to complain about them all the time but they where awesome. They would take time to stop and chew the fat during lunch or in the hall. they wanted to know what the heck was going on. They put up with my nonsense all the time. The VP got a kick of my revolving emergency light on my tool cart.! When they retired the Admin staff tried to insulate the new CEO. all the managers would sugarcoat stuff all the time. The hospital was starting a 50 million dollar expansion project and the boss wanted to know the nitty gritty of what they had to work with in the old bldg. I got called to his office. I was thinking Why was the CEO calling me for. I figured some manager complained about something but he said what does this bldg need? He was shocked when I rattled off stuff he didn't have a clue about. Quite a few changes were made partly from what I knew being on the floors every day. What worked and what didn't. The biggest thing that could happen to healthcare was single rooms. The debate was on on how important customer satisfaction score impacted insurance reimbursement. We had semi annual financial meetings with admin and hospital staff. Many staff members wanted money spent on salaries and not all of these private rooms. I had just returned to work from my heart attack. I had spent my first night in the hospital in a private room. The next day I was transferred to a big city hospital for a angioplasty and spent the night in a double room so small you couldn't change your mind in it. It was awful. I stood up and told my story. The administration staff was very appreciative me being so candid. If you have a bad experience at any healt care facility don't take it out on the staff. Call or write a letter to someone in charge. Don't be a jack wagon about it. But state your case. You would be surprised what the higher ups don't know and how enlightened they will be when they hear some real world facts. Are they over booking? Are they short staffed? They need to know. Directors and managers will hide issues to get their bonus if their department comes in under budget. If the people in charge see enough of the same complaints, they will do something about it.

2 pointsI dunno if it‘s different on the Sites, my Wife develops about 2 Moths ago a Heart Attack. Thankfully to our shortly last First Aid Training i was able to understand what actually happens. The diagnosis cardiac Troubles. So i call the 112 Here ( the same as 911 on your site) and get after 20 sec. A responsible Person to the Phone. They Alarmed the First Responder and a Doctor. Immediately after the call i start a Timer on my Mobile phone, to be able to answer them the running time. 3:45 later the First Responder occurs with full Lights and Siren, and 4:50 later the Medical Guy was here. They had a mobile Heart Monitor aside and confirm my Diagnostic. They react immediately and about 12 min. Later Mrs. Tractorherad was getting a Stent in Hospital. It was a complete heart back wall infarct. Thanks all who was involved, and their extreme quick responses, her Heart was only a little annoyed, but it is back fully in Function now. She had not much more time to left, or her Heart was developing massive defects. Luckily she had 100% upright persons in her situation, i dont want imagine what happen if not. While Mrs. Tractorhead was immediately after that happen in Rehabilitation center, she is now at 70% back in Service. But the annoyed Heart needs its time to heal completely.. but i also have some bad results in my History. Dentists here for example, i had a broken tooth, on Friday late evening about few years ago. They hand you over to a emergency dentist service. To be at them, you have to ride completely thru the City about 50 Km in Rushour.. if you be there, they closing... - sorry we have just 2 Hours Service so we are no longer in Service.. You must go to the Next.. - oh ok, where is it? In Rosenheim ( 60Km far....) i had this 5 Times than i stopped at a pharmacy and get the hardes Painkiller pills without doctor you can get. so i must fixed my complete Weekend... ain’t Funny. A Doctor is not more a Holy person for me, lots of them forgotten the oath of hippocrates, they have to swear by the appropriation Specialists here are also rare, good specialists are extremely rare, but sometimes you are lucky. You just have to find them, that is the hardest Part...

2 pointsAbsolutely agreed. Our other one has a plastic floor liner. This one will be ventilated. Considering I deliver building materials for a living... Yessir.

2 pointsMy biggest problem with any of these "tents" is that they sweat so bad inside. Looking back over my 5 year experience with one, I would never again put anything of value in a "tent" garage for any length of time.

2 pointsAIH, I have used an engine oil extractor (uses compressed air) to suck out the oil in my c175 hydro. They claim it gets more oil and debris out then by draining. I got to say, It got oil the oil out.
-
2 pointsOh no no. No worries here bub. From my (way too much) research every tarp shelter under 2 Gs is likely garbage. I bought this p'tic'lar model specifically for the FRAME. Once the cloth cover is gone I'll put a nice heavy duty tarp right over the top like my other one. The smaller shelter we have the cover lasted less than a year and was full of perforations from sun damage. All part of the plan....

2 pointsFortunately, Chestnut trees over there are like weeds. They grow everywhere all the time. I guess the bugs have not found them yet. They are extremely important not only for the fruit but also for their wood which is commonly used for furniture. It is a beautiful wood which is a pleasure to work with. The chestnuts are also very important as a food which can be roasted , baked, etc, and are commonly incorporated in many recipes. The ones in photo below are a new plantation belonging to my father. Even as young saplings they are prolific producers.
