And, @ebinmaine your C160 is amazing, and with the K16💪💪😀 (I’m doing Tim the tool mans “arh arh arh!!”) well anyway, here’s the pictures! There’s a pic of me next to the beautiful Farmall Cub! I don't recall the ratio I used but I did exactly what he did with the exact same gun/filters. I used a better desiccant filter before the gun though. I used this rattle can primer in both gray and black so when I wet sanded it before paint I could see imperfections. I used this paint gun. If you want really make it nice, you have to multi-stage wet sand and three stage buff it afterwards. I used these polishing compounds because they work good, but you can probably find something cheaper. It's a lot of work, but it works. The below tractors were both done that way. They tend to chip easier unless you use hardener, but I guess it depends on what you are going to do with it. The prep makes a difference if you want no rust pits, casting marks or other imperfections showing. Other guys on here have used other methods as well that made for outstanding paint jobs, but I was answering your Rustoleum/rattle can question.

My 754 I had at the show. This one was #41 off the line.

I bought a new wheel horse 108-4 back in 1988. I used this machine for mowing, bagging leaves and pulling a cart on my property for thirty two years with only normal maintenance. This summer I was sad to retire the machine but it was finally time as I was having trouble finding key parts. I just scored this 1987 wheel horse 111-6 in my home state of Ct. for $300. Has 400 hrs. on it. Sat for 30 years. I also have dual bags for the back. ( not pictured). Changed gas, oil, cleaned carb and changed a few small parts that I took off my old machine. Very Happy!!!

UPDATE on Howard... I received a text message from Howard on Friday night informing me that he has a follow up appointment on Monday to check the "touch of" bronchitis that the medical team found. As many of you can recall, he was going in for a kidney transplant surgery when the doctors made the call to cancel Howard's surgery because there was a small chance that he may have bronchitis. The medical team and the doctors sent Howard home with a vast variety of antibiotics. Well, his antibiotics are done and he is going in on Monday to see if the "touch of" bronchitis is gone. Please keep Howard and his donor in your thoughts and prayers, that they both are infection free and that the medical team can schedule Howard's kidney transplant. A special thank you to all of our Red Square Family.

A quick reapplication of my old patina protectant of choice today...necessary after I was caught out mowing during a recent midday downpour.

Ok, next time, we are gonna bring chairs and tractors! I didn’t see any Power Kings there! Where’s mine… at home! Just got my muffler changed on my Power King… from @jimkemp.. Ofcourse my B80s going to the show next year… under went tranny belt and tranny seal leaking surgery this year!

It may be worthwhile to remove and clean up the crankcase breather (valve cover). If that is not breathing the presure will seek another path.

As some of you may know, I have 2 Massey Ferguson MF 14 tractors, both rebuilt. I have had my eye out for am MF 16, for a long time. I found one on FB a couple weeks ago, but, as I have stated soooo many times, I simply don't have the room. So I didn't jump on this 16. Every once in a while I would check back on FB, just to see if it was still listed. The last time I looked, something new caught my attention. I don't know how I overlooked it before, but it wasn't very clear in the pic. This time I noticed it. I JUMPED ! It's a typical Massey Ferguson MF 16, with a Kohler 341S, and 48" deck. The deck is toast. That's OK, I have another. Someone during it's lifetime gave it a half hearted rattle can spray with no prep work at all. Washed it, painted it.That's fine, may have added some protection to it. The guy said he could not get it to turn over. He replaced the solenoid, and still could not get it to turn over, but it would turn over by hand. He did replace the solenoid. He hooked all the wires to the new solenoid, and left it hanging in mid air. Sounds like something I would have done not too long ago. This Massey is shaft driven. I put my pipe wrench on the shaft, and it spun fine. I hooked my jump pack directly to the starter and ground, turned right over. No odd noises. The footboards/fender extension were special order back in the day, few Masseys have those. That was a plus! I am fortunate that all mine do. The seat pan is also original, another plus. Tin work is almost perfect, except for a slight crinkle, in right rear. Easy to bring back out I think. But the piesta de resistance for me was this !Not that I need a 3-point hitch, but I don't have one. I will pull it into the garage in the morning, service the engine, and see what happens. If I can't get it to fire without too much work, I will pull it around to storage, and tackle it at another time. It was listed @ 8, I offered 4, settled on $450. I gave him $460. I gotta remember to take some smaller bills with me the next time. Overall, I am pretty happy with it, so for.

Check this machine out! I spent a weekend up Nort’ with the boys on a canoe trip and we found this at breakfast this morning. The owner says it’s a ‘62 and there is this one and one other in a museum known to exist. K-181 powered. It looks like the handle on the right is a forward/reverse lever. And how ‘bout those skis!?! Barn roof? Guard rail? @Stepney ever seen one like it?

This morning, pressure washed, then wire brushed the peeling paint off the decking retaining wall, above the pond. Later gave it a sealing coat of PVA glue. Tomorrow morning it'll get a coat of paint.

The biggest weakness of the C-160 is their lack of availability.. The 520 and the 160 are both great horses both work hard and don't like being put up wet. One is just more temperamental, higher maintenance and a much higher bill when sick.

Right side. This thing shoots clippings 15 feet or more, in all directions. I may need to make a guard for it... Sorry for all the posts. I keep getting the 8 meg warning on pics.

So far as performance- we've had alot of rain, and I was determined not to mow the inner front yard until I finished this thing. The grass was downright embarrassing. It was about 18 inches in a few spots. The oversize belt would occasionally slip, but otherwise this thing chews it and spits the clippings about 15 feet. No clumping whatsoever. And no I did not rake up any clippings.

I used the same pump and made a bracket that had a dogleg so the belt would be away from the PTO hoop.

Hi all I am just saying hello to all on here,especially any Wheelers in Ireland,north or south.I recently acquired a c175 twin,the third Wheel Horse I have owned,and I intend to keep this one,having regretted ever selling my previous two.My first was a late sixties 8 up model with a mowing deck which I bought about 25 years ago at an auction,my brother borrowed it and somehow managed to snap a con rod .I then bought a non running c125 which I repaired and used for about 5 years before selling it on and buying a Westwood T 1200(Big mistake!!!),now at last I have seen the light and returned to the fold,lol!There are very few Wheel horses in my part of the world,in fact I don’t know anybody else who has one,so looking forward to hearing from fellow owners both here in Uk and further afield.

Sitting for 10 years in a dirt floor open shed. Put gas in the tank a drop in the spark plug and a shot of starter fluid fired right up .Had to run it around a little on a little choke and eventually it stayed running and is good to go .

Admittedly she is looking rough but goes great and has a 42 inch so deck as well as wheel horse twin bag collector.This winter I will give it the same tlc the cars all got when I found them.

According to US Led, thier 12v-12watt power supply can run up to 22 3 lamp modules and is rated at 1 amp. Their 60watt power supply can run up to 110 modules and is rated for 4.0 amps.

No doubt the price was right. I probably would have paid more. The seller just wanted it off the property. I got lucky.

Thanks, I didn't think of that. I have a different valve cover that has a barbed fitting and 1/4" fuel line connected and runs down past the bottom of the engine. It was a purchase from Kirk Engines website. It's meant to keep the front of the engine cleaner. I wonder if a mud wasp got up in the hose. Although it appeared to be breathing judging by the oily buildup where the end of the hose was sitting. I'll check it out. The engine only has about 25 hours on it since I rebuilt it.

They don't have the same ones, but the ones they now sell would no doubt be direct replacements. I would look on ebay first.

It appears that the cutting edge of the blades are well above the deck bottom, that may be the reason for no clippings on the left side. Another reason may be the extreme wind caused by the high speed of the blades causes a vacuum high enough to prevent debris from escaping in areas other than the exit port. You should calculate or measure the blade tip speed, ANSI standards have a maximum of 19,000 fpm for safety reasons, without calculating my guess is that you may be double that.

I want a Struck Mini-Dozer. My grandfather had one when I was a kid. I wish I would have tried talking him into keeping it.

I actually picked up the walk behind for just that- a tow behind mower. I added a hitch and pulled the drive belts off and pulled it all over the place. Gave me about a 96 inch cut when combined with the belly mower! I love my Wheel Horses, but the property I have now is just too much for a tractor by itself. Used to take 10-12 hours on my tractor (or three afternoons), and my zero turn can do it all in about 3 hours. My WH mowers are for back up at this point. No need to wear them out when I want them around for many more years!

As long as the second-to-last digit in the model number is a 2 or 3, the engine has a ball bearing crankshaft. I always look for 422437 or 422447 on the 18s.

I've built alot of stuff for my tractors over the years. Some looked good, some worked pretty well. This thing is the best contraption I've come up with yet! It isn't perfect- there are a couple small things that need tweaking, but I have never owned a WH mower that cuts like this, and I have had the 37 and still have a 60. Neither compare with this thing! It is a billy goat. Some of the previous concerns were blade speed and room under the tractor. Neither is an issue. On the blade speed, I actually ran it on the smaller groove on the PTO. It ran so fast on the inner groove that I was afraid to open the Onan up to 3600. Those 4 inch pulleys were a lucky guess, but the deck screams like a turboprop. It's downright scary. As far as room under the tractor, it is tight but fits the 520-H with no issues, even with the casters rotating 360 degrees when I had to back up. That being said, it is NOT fun getting it under the tractor to start with. The casters make it light work, but it requires some southern shoe horn work to be sure.

Boat primer bubs are handy. I have them on the C125 and the Black Horse. Just squeeze till you feel resistance and your away.

One reason the faster the engine is running when you turn it off the more revolutions it will make after the spark is gone drawing in fuel mixture that will not be burned. That de-oils internals and is pumped into the the muffler that may have hot spots causing KaPow back fires. Modern engines have anti backfire valves to prevent this.

Not a very good picture. It was on my bucket list as I have it’s hydro brother and this one has a sought after option. Only reason I did buy it was it was only 20min from me and I basically stole it for what he was asking . More pictures to come.
