So we moved about three years ago, and I've not had a decent shop ever since. I have my old utility building, but it still isn't set up right. I've had no choice but to take over the garage (our trucks won't fit in it anyway) and it just isn't the same. No 220 AC, and only a couple 110 outlets to work with. No work bench and no welding table at all. So today I built a welding table. My wife took a picture while I was welding it standing upright, and asked me what it was. I told her it was Shark Week, and I was building my own cage. She shook her head and went back inside. But it turned out great. 6 feet long, 2 feet wide and 38 inches tall. All 1/4 inch steel, and set on casters. Now I can at least work, then move it and clean up, and set back up easily. I may drop some plywood in the bottom and put my welder in there.

Trying out a safety item for my GT14. Several times the front edge of fenders have caught my leg getting on and off. Ripped some pants and drew a bit of blood when I was in shorts.

You better not wait, it appears that the horse is having serious intestinal problems judging by the green and yellow droppings.

Hello.... After 40 years I acquired my Dad's beloved Wheel Horse. Being in the Auction business. He used it in many local parades over the years. The last fifteen it has been in his shed sitting idle and on display. He spent hours freehand painting his locos on it. My best memory was 21 years ago my 3 year old son dressed as Lamb in a Christmas parade. My Dad passed 2 years ago. Here is a picture from the80s I acquired from my Mom. More pictures to follow. I tried being a grown up for over 20 years and I found that it just really wasn't any fun. So I reverted back to about the age of five or so and that seems to be working much much better.

Been restoring the 1964 Eddleman mower I got last year. Have the base cleaned up and painted. Had to cut the rusted pulleys off Ordered some Tuesday form Zoro were on the front porch this morning. Could not get the rusted on tires off the split rims with out cutting them. Got the rusted rims repaired just need to get them painted. When I get the mower back together I'll give the 8 HP Biggs a try to see if it's any good.

Well now that's at least two fridays in a row I've been duped into learning something new. I try as hard as I possibly can not to do that, especially on fridays.

Yeah, a little twin in a WH frame with duals... I had my Bug bored and stroked but ran out of cash so had the progressive central carb. Duals would have freed up some HP but she did get up and go, for a Beetle. Tough to keep those heads cool if she wasn't moving air over that oil cooler. I miss those days. Advice to the young uns. Girl friends cost money! If I wasn't paying for her and tech school, that '73 Sport Bug would have been a screamer! That girl's still around today so some investments ARE worth it.

K582 with a pair of tiny little carburetors sitting on top of custom-made cross ram manifolds. Shave the heads. Regrind the bump stick a bit to bring the lobe centerline closer together for a more interesting idle. Sounds like fun to me.

I saw things that were similar but this looks better, the stuff I saw was a foam and rubber pad with little channels, but this stuff looks more like Racedeck but at a lower price. I will calculate the price and see how much I need. Thank you all for your help in solving this unusual dilemma.

Not that I need to be more impressed by your creativity on these machines BUT we have a horizontally opposed engine here. Doesn't anybody see the great opportunity? Did anyone ever hop-up a VW? I'm not saying dual Webers or Delortos but a nice dual carb setup with stacks would be the bomb.

DAY FOUR: Claudia is one tough young lady! One of the places that we both really wanted to visit on this trip was the Henry Ford museum. However, with the trip not going the way that we had planned, we weren’t sure that we would be able to make it work. Rain was forecast for much of the day on Thursday and at supper Wednesday night, I explained to Claudia that we would end up doing a lot of highway driving if we went to the museum. She still said, “We didn’t come all this way to stop now! I think we should go and enjoy it.” We woke up to steady falling rain but still enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the hotel. As we packed up the bike and put on our rain gear, I was praying for the best. The trip to Dearborn was fairly uneventful other than periods of rain and one 15 minute stop and go traffic jam. It always makes you nervous when you are driving a bike and you see the large caution sign which states “STANDING WATER ON ROADWAY”. Thankfully that receded by the time we got there. The Henry Ford museum is well worth the price of admission. There was so much to see and do that our 6 hours there went by in a flash. claudia loves to play the violin and Ford had a collection of very rare and ancient violins purchased in his latter years. Most of those in the case were more than 300 years old! Great agricultural exhibit with lots of milestone tractors and implements. Several times throughout the museum we talked about the importance of advertising and marketing your product to the masses. You may have the best idea in the world but if the world doesn’t know about it, your business won’t grow. Claudia was amazed at this early TV in comparison to her phone that has a screen nearly the same size with much better resolution. And it doubles as a telephone😂 I of course loved the racing exhibit and could have spent all day there. It was fun to see cars like this 1967 Lemans winner and compare it to the new Lemans GT… Very informative and interesting exhibits. Claudia also really enjoyed this exhibit and found all the hands on displays fascinating. Before we knew it, we had to hit the road because our hotel was in Mackinaw City way up in the north. As we rolled out of Detroit, it was about 80 degrees but by the time we reached Flint it was in the high 60’s. The temps continued to drop as we rolled along the highway and we kept adding layers at fuel stops. Claudia didn’t complain but soldiered on as we logged mile after mile. Nearly 300 miles later we reached our destination. It was about 58 degrees with a gorgeous sunset as we finally saw the bridge on the horizon. 425 miles in the saddle and lots of memories to relive in upcoming years…

Set up a still to recover the ethanol from the first batch, put together an alcohol burner 🔥 to burn the recovered alcohol, to heat the still to recover more alcohol to burn, 🔥 to heat the still to....................then make nice coloured ice cubes with the water to compliment your favourite bourbon / scotch, etc. 🥃🥃👍 or build a bbq to run off the distillate, then enjoy a nice ribeye with your favourite drink!

My personal opinion would be a 48'' Side Discharge deck with 8'' fronts that it came with when new would be perfect. Plenty of power.

Theres a few guys out there with twin carbs on these oppy's, and they say 'it helps'. Help? Id think it'd wake them up big time! I decided to stick with 'simple' for this application- farting around with one carb can be enough of a hassle with what we're doing haha. I gotta get a good vid uploaded so you guys can hear it- its pretty lopey even with the stock cam.

My C-175 came with the Briggs 18 Twin on it. Model # 422437 Type 1049 01. I have not seen a C-175 with the Kohler on it, so I cannot tell you the differences between the two. I can say that the shaker plate was completely removed, and the frame re-drilled for the Briggs. I replaced the belt. I am 99% sure it is an 85" belt, but it's been a while. (still waiting on parts) All of the safety switches had been by-passed. I am using the brake pedal safety switch, but not the PTO switch. I don't plan on having any implements on the tractor at this time. The Briggs has magneto ignition, and has the correct ignition switch. I don't know what the Kohler is. It looks to me as though the PTO Housing Rod has been cut off at the top. I don't know why anyone would have done this, but it just seems short to me. I ordered a new carb, and also bought a rebuild kit for the old one. The rebuild kit came with the parts necessary to rebuild the integrated fuel pump also. It cleaned up well, so I reused the old carb. When I check the tracking number for my parts from Lincoln, it simply say, "In Transit Arriving Late" It has said that for the last 6 days.

I had to build a starter for my horse, the magnet shattered in the original, so I took it and the old starter off my 93 craftsman 12h that spun the gear and shaft on top, and put together one that works fine after having to make the lock in clip on top of cone. 8 love my horse, but I think it might be time to sell and find another, I've rebuilt, wired, and painted everything but the motor, other then few carb dilemma's it's ran fine it's a 82 bp05 with every part and bolt I've taken off of it since day one except original fenders, didn't have any at purchase, so I fabricated a set to fit

USE THEM BELTS there Jiminy, that's what they're for! Hard to imagine people bitching about the post office. Mailed around noon on Saturday, 3 July, arrived today July 6. Over a holiday weekend, New York to Wisconsin in three days. Reminds me...this guy came into the Post office to drop of his 4 month late check for his post office box he's had for over 50 years. Was all indignant and pissed off because because they had the nerve to close his account and asked him to fill out a request to reapply for another one. Young kid behind the counter, so professional, had to take that abuse. Terrible behavior from a guy obviously old enough to know better. I told the kid what a great job he was doing, ignore that a hole, and how much I appreciate my postal service.

They are cool but I really love the transformer look of the original 1978 black hood. By the way, the hood uses a cable attached to the engine to keep it from opening too far forward.

But the 60s short frame units are so much cooler.

I loaded up a couple of the horses this morning so I can help a buddy smooth out some gravel he had hauled around his weekend cabin. It’s already laid down relatively flat but it needs to be smoothed out a bit so between the box blade, a drag, and the roller I should be able to flatten it out pretty nicely for him.

Repaired loose solenoid connection, installed new lift cable from Lowell, cleaned the deck and mowed.
