My new to me GT-14 FEL I got from @fast88pu helped me load scrap metal on my trailer! The oil tank/grille was heavy but it picked it up I need to put some weight in that weight box!

Tonight’s trash score as I rode around the Hood on the with my niece in tow… portable air tank! She helped load it in the trailer!!! She said it was like shopping on the Wheel Horse!!!

Because of the recent surgery I was directed not to go on any tractor rides for a while. Today my daughter took over the mowing duties on the refurbed 310-8 with 42'' SD mower. The grass averaged 8'' high but was very dry so the 310 handled the task well. The first picture was taken 18 years ago on her 93 520-H and the second picture was taken today. This was her first time mowing with an 8- speed. I started her out making 2 laps around the yard with the mower disengaged to get the feel of the 8-speed vs the Hydro. On the second lap she stopped and said to me when are you going turn the deck on so I can get this lawn done with a big smile, and I knew right then she was ready. The son I never had I guess and I was extremely proud of her. She did a great job and took right to it. Never hurts to introduce a youngster to power equipment as long as all safety procedures are explained and followed. I am hoping she will be present at this years Meet & Greet.

Hi all, I am starting my restoration of my 1987 Wheel Horse 418-C. It runs perfectly and Kohler Magnum 18 purrs like a kitten but it needs a new paint job. I bought this tractor at the Wheel Horse Show in PA this last weekend and I am planning on restoring it and posting update photos... Here are some pics of the tractor itself... I already started taking some things apart to prep for the restoration. I already have another steering wheel to replace the warped one and I have another seat that is much better condition to put on it. Also the previous owner added the chrome breather cover and muffler cover. Wish me luck!!

Cleaned the concrete driveway today. Wet it down, sprinkled Oxiclean with a rotary spreader, scrubbed it with a DIY scrub brush attachment (about 100lbs), then rinsed it off. Did the trick!

Of course I didn’t make any extravagant haul this year, but I still managed a few things. I found a dash stand for a ‘62 tractor. It’s not much special, but it would help if I choose to make another mock 1045 tractor. $5 well worth it! I also scored a running K-181 from @JoeM for a spare. This made me wonder though. Could a stator equipped engine be converted to @pullstart? It would be cool to feed some small draw LED’s automatically when it’s running. @roadapples gave me a couple one bottom plows. If I can set these up for a slot hitch, they could be “house loaners” at plow days if need be. @stevebo gave me these 16” AG tires. They don’t match, but they are a buttload better than the truck tires currently on Jackie! Mrs. P grabbed us one of Ehston’s (spelling?) tiny scaled Seniors too... so I guess you could say we did buy a tractor this year! I was trying to make a cheap round hood score at the end of Saturday, but neither of us would budge for $30 in either direction... so it stayed on his trailer. It was a basket case, but didn’t have to come home.

Just wanted to share the up grade that I did on my air tank. It seemed like it took for ever to fill the tank with a tire chuck and my hand would get sore holding the chuck on to the fitting. Switched to a locking tire chuck, but it still took for ever. My up grade allows me to plug the air line directly on to the tank, open the ball valve and BAMM the air tank is at maximum PSI in about 30 seconds or less. Shut the ball valve off and I'm off to use my tank in a remote location. Highly recommend this up grade.

I see the trampoline incident has not impacted your keen intellect and sharp eye for details... Yes gentlemen - Pressurized air... (with about 110% humidity today...) I will provide the tank, hose and gauge engineering QA/QC testing results after they are proofed and verified...

@Wheel Horse 3D My grandchildren were absolutely fascinated with you and your work at the show. I think they visited with you every 10 minutes. They still talk about it everyday.Thank you and your wife for being so gracious and kind to them. It’s people like you that makes them want to go back.

I agree with ElCamino - you are not old yet. However, you are at the age where your mind is writing checks that your body is refusing to cash. Sooner or later your mind will get tired of the stiff/sore feedback your body is giving.

I’ve been tooling around today. I need to do some silicone work on the inside corners of a shower project but picking my arm up over my head is not working. Good news, I can pull a Wisconsin over with my other wing @squonk!

Harbor Freight - why don't they throw tractor showers or the like. I'd just sit in an aisle - pick any one - with a beer all day. In tractor news, my 516H, Henrietta, was running poorly and could barely idle. She is so sensitive to air filter changes. I had just changed the filter and foam cover so the added flow leaned it out. That circuit affects most of the RPM range, surprisingly. 1/2 a turn and she's sweet again. Of course, you can't just get a screwdriver in there before removing several pieces. I do love this tractor but she needs constant dotage.

When I still had my Scirocco I told Gunther (my mech) that I was driving to FLA and wanted the AC to be COLD!!!! Well... it sure was! At one point when I got to SC there was this raucous noise that came from the bowels of the dashboard and SHAVED ICE and SNOW started flying out of all the A/C vents! When I got back I called Gunther and told him thanks for the A/C but I wasn't expecting a BLIZZARD!

Rehabbed a couple of rusty mule drive pulleys with Harbor Fright sanders and new 6203-12-2RS bearings and some of that green Lucas grease.

Well my friend I turned onto Wheel Horses, by letting him use mine as they sell themselves, finally stumbled into the right deal on a nice one. He picked up this 417a with a 42" rear discharge deck and already rigged up with a box blade as well! Awesome find and happy a deal came together for him! He may be joining this place before long... Here's the rig!

They were a delight! Had no idea they were yours. Theyd come and watch for a few minutes and ask a question or 2 then scamper off to return about 20 to 30 minutes later and mostly just watch it run. They finally happened to show up just as a print was finishing, so they got to see it complete and how I removed it from the bed!

Got all the pivots upgraded, along with some temp shackles. Ill be on the lookout for a more U shape and wide enough to go to both sides.

Someone mentioned that I should remember to clean out the rest of the nest that didn’t fly out before the show. Well, come to find out it would be the (near) death of Jackie. We were cruising with @stevebo, @AMC RULES and @buckrancher on Friday evening and a vibration overcame the rotating mass bad enough that I parked the Lever Steer for the rest of the weekend.

Since @pullstart is convalescing with a bad wing, thought I would grease the wheels on the " Little Trailer That Could" He hates squeaky things apparently. Sorry not greasing the rocker!

Check all of the electrical plugs at the transfer case, frt axle and all 4 wheels for something loose. Maybe when you pulled that wheelie something came loose and I don't mean in your noggin! And Note: My 2013 GMC made the entire 700 mile trip without a burp!

A trampoline is the last thing you or anyone else should be on. Yes they are fun but it doesn't take much to land the wrong way.

If it has a magneto ignition it would be very easy. If you wish to use the charging stator for lights or what not, I think that you will need to run some sort of battery in order for the reg/rec to work.

You still got a heck of a deal, all things considered! If you decide this is too big a job and you don’t want this pile of crap () just let me know and I’ll happily reimburse you!

I know...... I could hear the RS gasp as I posted the pics! I did later change the axle, ran the tractor for a while to make sure everything else was okay before I dove into the axle repair. here is a pic of how to remove a welded hub from an axle. Video of the axle being removed form the pinion set. WHX24 You see anything in the background of the video toward the end?

Your right there Kevin. Instead the shift motor would have taken a crap & you would have no idea that any thing was wrong until you needed the 4wd.
