16 pointsMy wonderful wife gave me this shirt for Fathers day. Of course I had to pose in front of a Wheel Horse for the picture.

12 pointsToday Heathersgill Vitage Club held a charity tractor run, in memory of the founder and club chairman, who died a year ago. We were expecting thirty or so tractors. We actually had seventy. The weather stay fine and the sun came out just in time for the run. Run over country lanes, some very narrow, it covered 30 miles. I was marshalling at a junction near the end and managed to get a few photo's. The start at Longtown Auction Mart. Cumbria UK. It wasn't confined to just vintage tractors as you can see.

9 pointsOn other news, the lame horse is all healed up and back in the stable resting.

9 pointsGot a little more done on the HD hitch for Cinnamon Horse C160. Here's a transmission case that's got a bad bearing holder. Figured instead of tossing the case I'd clean it up and use it as a jig for welding some hitches. I'll put a bar across the two shown pieces and then the trailer hitch mount receiver welded to the top of that. Also some braces at the bottom to go from the hitch pin mount to the bottom of the hitch for extra support.

8 pointsLooks like old Jeep / Willys stuff to me... Cool as heck and check out that BEAUTIFUL Briggs and Stratton power!! Lol yah I'm the guy that likes Briggs around here. This was on the FB Wheel Horse page---one of them anyways. See you guys at the show!! Tony

8 pointsYesterday while coming up out the forest the right side spindle arm welds snapped. As one could imagine this causes some fair difficulty steering due to lack of connection to the steering system. Turns out there was barely half a weld there. I'm really surprised it lasted this long. I got it all disassembled and cleaned up intending to get welding this morning. Had some fun lining things up but got it to set ok eventually. Here's post-weld. I'll be needing someone with access to a lathe to drill 3/4" holes into some trailer stubs so I can upgrade to the 4 or 5 lug trailer wheels. @Achto @Wheel Horse 3D @Oldskool Any of you help me out for a small fee?

8 pointsJacob had his first pull of the year today! Took 5th out of 15! Only got beat by big time pullers! Only wheel horse there! IMG_0262.3gp

7 points(1) None road legal. (2) They were traveling at around 12-15 mph. Three hours to get round. My Sears is my fastest tractor 6.3 mph. By the time I got to the finish, no pie and peas would be left.

6 pointsHappy Birthday @c-series don, @Mike'sHorseBarn, @Terry M & @Tractorhead, we are very glad all of you were born! Happy father's day too.
-
6 pointsEric, If this is what you had in mind send me a pm. I can drill the stub axles for you.

6 pointsWent to town this morning to the farm store and picked up a few posts, a trailer ball lock, and a PTO driveshaft. Then came home and better anchored the canopy we bought to park the service truck under, locked up our new car trailer before someone thought they needed it worse than I do, and finally installed the driveshaft and gave the 49 8N a bit of exercise mowing. I need to find a better brush beater and do a little work to the governor but I think she’ll be an alright mowing tractor

6 pointsHappy Father's Day to all the men in "the club" with me. Sometimes it's a pita... but its always rewarding. Tony

5 pointsI've going to look at 70,gt14 with ark loader tomorrow Looks like she is good shape Loader line leak a little as does the rear end..small leak Runs and drives good Only things it's missing for me is a mowing deck He is asking $2k Thoughts?
-
5 points$2000 is a fair price I’d say. As for as no mower deck I wouldn’t worry about that because switching from the mower deck to the loader is not a ten minute job. For me I’d say once you put the loader on it’s kinda committed as a loader tractor.

5 pointsEd, it's not just about noise, it's about carbon emissions also and I'm pretty sure that 3 hp machine puts out a fair amount .
-
5 pointsI saw the same tractor. I like the use of the transaxle for the transfer. I had wondered a few times about using the WH 8 speed for something like this.

5 pointsHave a great Fathers Day . I took an early walk around the Amish farm. A black bear was sighted nearby on Friday so I wanted to check the trail cam for pics and look for damage in the sweet corn. If he finds the corn, he may need encourgement to leave. No bear sign this morning, but some friendly critters walked with me. The corn, pumpkins and cantaloupes are looking good. No bear, but a few critters on the trail cam. Now off to son Mikes place for a picnic and birthday party for Grandson Jake.

5 pointsYep, not many things as rewarding as being a Father. Blessed to have four grown children that are hard working and God fearing! Happy Fathers Day!

4 pointsIf you build a 4 wheel hay wagon you had better make sure you build a front mount hitch if you ever plan on backing it int a tight space. Backing a 4 wheel wagon is a skill set I do not have......

4 pointsAround here they still use coal to produce electricity.......who would have thought, a coal powered vehicle, your new electric lawn mower is really powered by coal
-
4 pointsI did use that bench at one point. Also set in my big camp chair. 'Course now that's finished up and today's a new day I'm looking forward to seeing WTH they're up to......

4 pointsYes things change. Always do. Horses shared the “road” for a long time with the automobile… I’m confident that gasoline and diesel powered motors and vehicles will be around a long time…sharing the road with their battery powered friends. What concerns me is that no one is addressing or talking about the serious environmental issues related to battery powered everything. The vast majority of all batteries today go right to the landfill. Yes some like car battery cores are reused, but most are trashed. The manufacturing of batteries? It’s not green… electricity production? Not green… You can’t get something for nothing - even from the government… but that’s what’s being sold to everyone - “it’s green!!!” No, it’s not… Walking - green Running - green Bicycles - sorta green, but bikes need to be manufactured etc. Tractors - sorry… Cars - yeah, no… You get the point… No, I’m not anti battery. Just bought a great battery powered Dewault mower. Love it! But it ain’t green like they want to say. All kinds of plastic, Two toxic as hell batteries, mowing grass that ain’t “green” in the first place…fertilizers weed killers etc… So…? Keep your Wheel Horses tuned up, and run them with pride. Just don’t scrap em…

4 pointsI normally wear my headphones/ hearing protection and listen to 50's and 60's music when I mow so my noisy old gas powered tractors don't bother me at all. My neighbors are all about 1/4 mile away so if I mowed naked to get that all over tan nobody would see me or hear me anyway. Nice to live in the country. Just me and my wife and the dogs and the guns and the gasoline and diesel powered engines we have a lot of fun...

3 pointsGetting closer now to getting my scrap yard find 100% sound , other then needing front tires (dry rot) and the Tie rods are a touch worn maybe 3/8'' play I will then begin to the transformation in to making this WH in to a gravel road maintainer , I stopped back over my scrapper friends place yesterday to pick up a few things I saw last time I was there , I picked up a set of wheel weights and a nice seat from another WH also a very nice 36'' mower deck that he said came along with the c120 I got from him , and also few other things for the transformation I am about to start ,but did get the wheel weights and seat on today and gave it a well deserved power wash.

3 pointsHi Maynard, My musician family started calling me that over 30 years ago. I started playing guitar just as the Beatles Let it Be album was released. I also play harmonica. Love playing 12/8 meter blues such as The Allman Brothers Stormy Monday, Jimmy Page Prison Blues and Little Walter covers.

3 pointsIt would provably be cheaper in the long run and more reliable to just get a bigger engine...
-
3 pointsWell went and picked up the 953 I was talking about. Little rougher than I was expecting from the photos, but for $100 and a 30 minute drive, it’s still a no brainer. Going to get the deck off and give it a good pressure washing and see what I’m working with.
-
3 pointsHappy Birthday to all you special guys and hope you have many more.

3 pointsWe (our government do-gooders) forced our industries to go overseas to protect the environment. There was no consideration give to the fact that the environment is global and we have no say in what is done to it in other parts of the world.

3 pointsGot a couple 17+ cubic foot loads of firewood out the forest today. On the second load I noticed the right front wheel wasn't behaving in a manner conducive to accurate steering. Made it back to the wood pile then down towards the outdoor workshop. Turns out the weld on the spindle that holds the tie rod mount broke off. Got it all disassembled and I'll weld it up tomorrow morning.

3 pointsYall knew this was gonna happen at some point...not like I dont have tiny brushes and white enamel paint..not to mention lots of teeny tiny practice! Not perfect but close enough!
