My neighbors tractor doesn't make much noise, but they do deposit the occasional road apple in my lawn.

Rodney Burger and I have an RJ transmission we will be rebuilding during the Big Show under our infield canopies! Plus we will have an interesting homemade two piece to three piece transmission conversion plate to look at!

This part of the article makes the most sense "You’re likely fortunate if loud lawn care is high on your list of problems"

Hhhmmm… Colossus… Been a while since that one’s seen some action… I’m thinking this one may actually be from the very rare and little known northern cicada WH brood that appears only in the Maine woods every 17 years or so…

Interesting stuff. Another one of the multitudes of reasons why I'll stick to my rural mountain life.

Finally got around to installing a ole tractor seat pan on the grass cutter. This seat is 100% more comfortable than the previous one I had, wouldn’t think so but it is. It fits my fat ass perfectly 👌 😆

So as I posted before the little woman has taken a liking for the tractors starting to display them all over and embellishing them with flowers pots. The other day she comes from the supermarket and hands me a cool looking gadget which is a barbecue cooking timer. She tells me that she saw it and realized it is almost the same color as tractors and that it would look cool like a gage on the big guy( the 520). Naturally I couldn’t say no so there it is in all of its glory. I now can keep time on the mowing up to one hour. I wonder what will be the next surprise.

I think I’ll scrap all my tractors before their value tanks too much further. A couple goats and pigs could easily replace lawn duty, garden duty and ride time. A sheep once threw me into an electric fence at a buddy’s house. That could be my new buggy so I might as well toss that too. Video games and virtual reality are better for the environment anyway so I might as well grab some more of those.

Good Lawd 520HC! Looks like a distribution warehouse!

My son lives in a nice suburb of Buffalo.Nice house tiny yard. The neighbors are RIGHT ON TOP OF YOU. If the guy next door goes out to grill, you can tell the last time he got his teeth cleaned. In this type of environment, no gas powered Eq. makes sense. Got him a Stihl cordless mower for a house warming present. He can go out any time of day and mow without bothering anyone. One problem. This is in the Lake Effect Snow Belt. Would take a lot of batteries to do his driveway. Can't wait to go there with my Ariens Tecky powered blower!

Yall knew this was gonna happen at some point...not like I dont have tiny brushes and white enamel paint..not to mention lots of teeny tiny practice! Not perfect but close enough!

I normally wear my headphones/ hearing protection and listen to 50's and 60's music when I mow so my noisy old gas powered tractors don't bother me at all. My neighbors are all about 1/4 mile away so if I mowed naked to get that all over tan nobody would see me or hear me anyway. Nice to live in the country. Just me and my wife and the dogs and the guns and the gasoline and diesel powered engines we have a lot of fun...

Hhhmmm… just when I can see the floor of the garage… cool idea. I don’t think I will run it by swmbo…

This is quite cool! I was thinking, though, that the passenger would have steering control of the tail wheels, says the kid in me!

Power / easy steering.......Yes Power lift.......Yes Engine is all up to you, for replacement power I lean toward Briggs Vanguard, V Twins. I have done a couple and really was impressed with power and sound. Easy to fit. If you like old shakers...........14 hp Kohler, a powerful / hard to beat, not to mention, economical choice.

Got a couple 17+ cubic foot loads of firewood out the forest today. On the second load I noticed the right front wheel wasn't behaving in a manner conducive to accurate steering. Made it back to the wood pile then down towards the outdoor workshop. Turns out the weld on the spindle that holds the tie rod mount broke off. Got it all disassembled and I'll weld it up tomorrow morning.

Not me but another Belgium WH fella We live on very flat terrain, so we dare to tow some heavier stuff. (Maybe gonna make me a trailer for my horse with trailer brakes as brakes are the weak point on a WH when towing)

I don't mind mowers and blowers etc. What bugs me are the 4 wheelers for hours on end. You'd think they already outlawed bicycles.....

I had a customer who was a retired engineer. He had a 6 cylinder military surplus gen set. Across the street lived my boss. The power would go out there all the time. Old Bill would fire up that generator and turn every light on in the house. Then would sit in the window and read the paper just to piss off my boss! It was pretty comical the next day!

Black Belt Trina. She can carry a Kohler engine or a pile of firewood and break it all on half too! Chop chop!

Three RJ hoods that were restored by Harold Carter in Florida made it to my place today thanks to Rodney Burger. Two of these were almost beyond saving! I have some before shots of one with lots of holes and bumps. Another had to be paired with two bad hoods, cut and welded as the front logo piece was all but gone and the top on one was cut at the top frame brace. ! Two more RJ projects awaiting awaiting attention! So now hoods are preserved and secured.

@Stormin That’s an EZ Rake de-thatcher. I searched for years for one and finally found one advertised in Lawn and Garden collector magazine classified ads. Originally I believe it was for a Cub Cadet but I fabricated a new mount to fit the front mount tach-a-matic. It works great! Thank you for asking, here’s some pictures before and after I restored it.
