11 pointsI put my 310 up on the workbench for some much needed love. Need to do a full service then had to slide a hub back out flush, then clean the tank and install new tank grommet, fuel line, exhaust gasket, headlight bezels and batter hold down. Found some loose connections too. Have a new rear blade bracket and receiver hitch I from Wheelhorsepartsandmore. Randy

8 pointsTook a 2 mile shake down run today. I think it’s Big Show ready! I did notice after about 3/4 mile I had a ton of condensation on the intake elbow past the carb. Is that concerning?
-
8 pointsI am considering about bringing myself next year... Can't this year due to covid. It will be a 2000$ trip but heck, don't have an expensive girlfriend other then my horses. hihi

7 pointsSo glad I got this little oven, I use it all the time. This one has a convection fan in it, and a digital thermostat which is very accurate. Seems like all of this modern paint takes forever to dry, and weeks to get hard. I let stuff flash off for a while, then after a 60-90 minute bake @ 200* paint seems as hard as it’s going to get, and to me seems much harder than if just air dried. Very nice to be able to install something in a couple of hours rather than waiting a week. Also if I see I missed a spot, I don’t have to wait four days to re coat it. The controlled temp is also great for heating bearings and whatever for installation. One of the best $100 I’ve ever spent.

7 pointsYup, 8 foot ramps and if you look at the front of the workbench, the winch is still attached. Pulls them right up. RAndy

7 pointsReplaced the o-rings in the hydraulic control valve on my C160. Really makes me appreciate the simplicity of the older machines compared to the newer ones with all the covers and guards. Accessing the control valve on my C141 a couple months ago led to a lot of aggravation, blood and I'm pretty sure I may have taught the neighbors a few new words

6 pointsI was cleaning out the work trailer after the kitchen installers filled it up. Found these in the onion bin that was painted shut. They are all about the same age

5 pointsOnce had this sweetie wander into my little shack/office at work and lay an egg on my workbench and take up my chair back as a roost!...were in an industrial park, so no idea where she wandered in from!
-
5 pointsGlad you finally got that running. I was getting worn out just watching you pull that rope!
-
5 pointsAs long as you use the E 10 right away you should be fine short term. Damage comes from when it sits in the tank and carb bowl. Just buy a couple of gallons add SeaFoam and get the good stuff when they have it.
-
5 points@rmarnard, if you use a polyurea based grease like the lucas extra heavy duty , with anti sling additives , available at wallmart for $5 , it will stay with the gear unit . this grease retracts on itself after use , insuring its gear protection . use in all my bearing areas , with no noise or bearing failures. just slapping on any grease will make a mess , as it has no anti sling additives . also a 560 drop point just my own experience , pete

5 points@The Tuul Crib double check the spelling before you have it engraved on those boards
-
4 pointsSo I've started on another woodwork adventure adventure from the Tuul Crib 🗜. I've been waiting to put the chrome rails back on my truck made for the Ford Ranger. But I have opted for crafting some side boards for that more country feel. I have three planks that are at least 11 inches wide. I'm not sure of the species but maybe @formariz can't help me on this. I am going to run one board width Front to back on both sides with another smaller board on top going halfway.I have access to the CNC at work and our interior engineer at work is a genius at the program. I am wanting to put a logo on these long boards! Wheel Hose maybe? I am looking for some ideas for a font to have him program to cut out on these boards.

4 pointsA buddy sent me this tonight. What a prize, more than a big purse that could be spent easily!

4 pointsI tried the oven once.... only thing I found out was the missus has a cast frying pan I knew not about. Seriously it does work when I set them in front of the wood stove.... @Ed Kennell knows.

4 pointsAdd those that are supported by government programs to those that are directly employed by government, you will see that there is way too many riding in the wagon and very few pulling it. Remember that the only source of wealth is people actually creating it with their own two hands.
-
4 pointsProbably just a case of local Supply-and-Demand. The Ethanol-Free grade is more than likely least in demand and the fuel companies are still recovering from the Russian hack of the pipeline.

4 pointsWent to help my mate Dunc load his 1952 Land Rover S1 at his stepsons. This is an ongoing restoration as time allows. So far about 10yrs. He's taken it up to his property in Scotland. Body work etc was taken up there last week. Maybe progress, just maybe, things will get done a bit quicker.

4 points5 on 4.5 pattern. I have them on 3 tractors and they are great. You'll need 7/16 button cap screws or really tall heads on the bolts to mount them, because torquing the OEM bolts is difficult because the holes are designed as bolt centric, and they set too deep in there to get onto the bolts with a socket. One more thing- if you go with automotive spacers, most have 1/2 inch studs, and our tractor wheels use 7/16 bolts. You'll have to ream the bolt holes on the wheels to 1/2 inch, but it's a small enough difference that they can still be reused with the 7/16 bolts.

4 pointsMy girl!! I used to hate the thought of having a dog because they shed and drool etc. now I cannot think of not having her. She is just over two years old and my hinting dog/ family pet. Her name is Harley. She is an English Lab.

4 pointsThis is my Grandson Vincent and his dog, Rigby! Rigby is a Great Dane/Mastiff. We have been keeping Rigby for the last year while they get there house fixed. Randy

4 pointsI guess fish can also qualify as pets. Had them for years now. They were about 1-1/2” long when I first got them . Some are now close to 18” . The largest ones will eat from my hand. These are inside.
-
3 pointsand the hole on the 48" that I get to patch. I can't imagine it will be any tougher than the gaping hole I had on the 36", plus the metal is MUCH thicker on the 48"

3 pointsI started today the Basement of the new Pavillon i will build. Firstly the main Posts than the Main Bars. at least i be able to fix the distances with 2 Sidebars. and yes, it‘s no optical illusion, the front right post is 5cm deeper compared to the rest to get later a dedicated direction to catch the Rainwater from the roof. But after it begins to rain i decided to go into the Workshop when i meet Harrold. He is a young Fox, very curious. When he see me, he gets in a Panic Attack and flee the fast as he can, but i can Capture him... Back in the Workshop i reworked the electric Powersteering for the Backhoe Project. It‘s worth a try if this will work.

3 pointsThese are those same tires in 8.5 I do like the looks of the no bulge side wall. On this particular tractor anyway. That's a good price BTW.
-
3 pointsWe have access too in in western Pa. so far maybe related too chicken wing shortage?
-
3 pointsOn the magneto tractors that we have, I ran a wire from the mag to a switch that could be accessed from he seat. I know it's not original but I did this as a safety feature. If the need arises you can shut the tractor off without leaving the drivers seat. Thought it important, specially when driving around a crowd of people at a show.
-
3 pointsBearing buddies mean - The last time some one looked at the bearings was "never". We have had tread separation problems running LT tires on our 5th wheel flat bed. We have now switched to an H rated 14ply trailer tire with an 81mph speed rating, basically semi trailer tires on 16" rims

3 pointsMy son called last night to ask if I had 3 2x4's in my wood stash , I replied sure. Can't wait for him to show up , load them and I tell him that will be $25.00 . He he

3 pointsAll: Each of you are correct. You still need to lube the needle bearing via the zerk - 2 or 3 pumps with the hand grease gun until you feel resistance. I prefer to remove the covers - it is easier to locate the zerk fittings and gives me an opportunity to inspect, clean, and relube the gears. Then the covers go back on ... Bill

3 pointsThank you all for your welcome It is a Kohler Magnum 12HP with mechanical fuel pump Bonjour cher voisin ! I am in Brittany, a bit far from Belgium une fois I read a lot about it, but gave an aftermarket mechanical fuel pump a try (Kohler #4755911S) Unfortunately after a few days of work it loses prime and I had no time to put my hands on the machine once again Please enjoy the pictures attached, showing the poor condition of the tractor & back to work. Be reassured it is now in loving hands Other than the fuel pump, my concern is on the mower deck which is a 1997 42" rear discharge deck Toro #78350 (subject of an other topic)

3 pointsOur system confuses the heck outa me!! We don't really build anything anymore, everything is consumer driven and I don't see how you are supposed to grow an X percentage a year and saleries never grow at that rate! I just trust that my 401K guy knows what he is doing (and he has done well for me) and try not to spend much. Which is dang hard when you love old tractors!!! Randy

3 pointsI'm Paul Adanick from Nicholasville, KY. I've been wanting to restore a small tractor (preferably Wheel Horse) since 1985 and finally bit the bullet. I found a still running 1967 Lawn Ranger that I'm doing a frame up restoration on and having a blast. Glad I found Red Square as a resource during this adventure. Already can't wait to start my next one...
-
3 pointsTalk about sending me down memory lane just as we're ready to list the house for sale! With us it was a "Ford Focus Hatchback" load. I made a WAG about how much a block weighed, and made a lot of runs back and forth, one way on the suspension stops. Then I actually weighed one! Started getting pallets delivered.
-
3 pointsThey been back along the line somewhere.... If you'd quite that workin garbage you'd be able to concentrate better on Redsquare. Here's a few before/after from the other day.
-
3 pointsNo blood yet! It’s completely welded now, flex plate is swapped and loc-tited, now I’m working on getting the dowels out of the block to run a little longer style.
-
3 pointsI think it would be great if Cecil could see one more testament to his work- from all those years ago. As simple as the design is, it still says quite a bit about what the Ponds built, and just how much quality was built into these machines! You certainly will not find a smart phone or likely even automobile that will so easily spring back to life 70 years from now!
