today i mowed a meadow with the "wheelie" unfortunately i sometimes slide my tires on the damp ground. I still have to buy tires with a large lug profile

Finished the rear door project today. Just a few little finishing touches to attend to but its done. I'm really pleased with it, mainly because its made the kitchen a lot more functional but also because its a job I thought was beyond me and i managed it ok.

Trina and I took the Cinnamon Horse C160 with the MacKissic chipper down the street to a local retired lady's house. Her husband passed last fall and she needed help getting her yard cleaned up. The machine did very well. Trina and I both were very impressed with the power it has. We chipped/shredded 3 small brush piles and a fair assortment of leaves in about 2-1/2 hours. Lots more to do.... On another day. Ready to go. Here's a before and after. Zoom in to see the piles are gone and chips up the far bank. The mound that lines up with the tractor seat is a very old burn pile. It'll be reduced a little more next time we head down there. I'll need to figure out proper alignment for the PTO to chipper belt. Ate most of a belt in 2 hours use. Might need an extra guide too. Quite a reach for a 1/2" belt.

OK so gave up on lettering till it drys but installed new tow hitch and new seat!

Decided today with Kati to go to a Gravel plant. The actual incidences allows it in our Area, there we get mixed gravel from 5 cm up to 20cm. payed few bucks for the complete Trailerload. 😎 firstly i prepared the Trailer by Airpressure it set to about 43 PSI. Dunno why the Loaderdriver greened when i told him „Stop“ The tyres looked little squeezed and there is nearly no gap between Tyres and Fenders...😎 Are you shure you wanna drive that Weight, my Scale told me it was 1,8To. - Yap, we must not ride that far away.. just 4 Miles.. The Trailer is well Serviced, the Tyres are good in shape, i trust him... The Trailer after 3 Buckets are out... To bring it into the Backyard i must use the Beast or carry all that 1,8 To by Hands... To save my Back and have Fun i decided to use the Beast for that Task, so i quick fixing the Backhoe with 2 Ratchet straps while not finally Build and i can see, how the added weight will affect on the whole Machine. It is a nearly perfect counterweight and have a good overall balance. Tilt point is dropped down and the handling appears more stable than before. But it also increased massive the overall Weight, so it makes now massive deep impacts to the Lawn and ruined it finally completely. But the traction is a++++ or better excellent 😎 love it 😁 The Full bucket will be load about 200-300Kilos to the Frontaxle - minus the Kilos on the Back ... yap, lot’s of weight added but however, hard work shows impacts. I make the Border arround to save the mowerblades from rolling Gravel with bigger pieces while Kati does the optics and the internals, than we filled Together the 1,8 To. gravel arround the last year reworked Area.😎 Bucket by Bucket we filled together the Areal. At least we forgot to count how many Buckets that was. Another Task is finally done.. now seeding grass on the brown spots and let it grow.

1986 312-A, model 21-12KE02, 42" deck 05-42MR04 - New to me a month ago, a gift from my brother in law. Hello All. So glad I found this topic. It's been a while since my last posting under other topics. So, I thought I would post as the topic suggests, as well as catch up. Transmission Engage Lever Handles - Such tiny little things to get my fat fingers around. A 5 inch long piece of closet rod fitted with two angles now makes me the pride of my own little world. I wish the closet rod was oak, I would have stained and finished it with urethane. I guess I will look into that when I am REALLY bored. Burnt Exhaust Valve - Symptoms: Died out when hot. Nearly impossible to start. Burnt on one edge, I hear there is a rotator that you can place in there to guard against the problem of the valve being stationary and wearing unevenly. But hey, after 30 some odd years and this was the first the engine had surgery, I'm ok as is. Seat was OK, lapped in the new valve, assembled. Fired up immediately! My eyes lit up as my jaw dropped. Replaced Blades - Not sure I really needed to do that but I did anyway. Deck Pulleys - What a mess. Removed both outers and descaled them, smoothed them out as much as possible with a V-shaped wooden block and 80 grit. Got one new one and have an eye out for a 2nd one maybe at lower cost. The center pulley is in similar condition; failed to remove it, pretty well siezed. I have a feeling I am going to wreck the spindle in the process so I will live with it for a while. Spindle Belt - Lots of confusion around that one when talking with Toro dealer, they got the first belt wrong. It was 86". The docs pointed to in this forum are to be trusted, for this deck a #106125, 1/2" x 89" was correct. Mounting this thing was a little puzzling since I was not able to locate anything that suggested the best way to go about it. In the end, having a long enough belt was key as well as a 4' length of box tubing to leverage the tensioner into the full open position. Hood Hinges Out of Round - This just bugged me. So, a 3/8" piece of rod and two collars (with set screws) from Menards was the start. I'm not a fan of circlips so I figured I'd go nuts. I welded two washers to the hood mounts to put the holes back in shape. After stripped and degreasing and all that nice Rust Oleum Regal Red is drying right now. Fuel System - Replaced carb, all fuel lines, added a filter, cleaned out the tank and replaced the siezed-open shut off valve. Ignition - Replaced the battery, ignition switch and those other two usual suspects needed for spark and timing. Sum total, this thing runs awfully good and should get a little quieter once I get all the deck problems solved. So happens I've been looking to work for quite some time, but have to spend much more time near home to manage my granddaughter for whom I have guardianship. This tractor has done volumes to help me have that feeling of accomplishment one is used to having when being in the workforce for so long.

Just waxed the 857 and the 1075, along with the trailer. Got it done before it got to hot outside. The 857 sure looks good. The 1075 not so much. The paint on it is in bad shape. I am undecided as to what I want to do with it. Leaning towards leaving it alone and just have a custom set of decals made by @Vinylguy.

Been doing some experiments with the chipper over the last few weeks. Had it mounted "centered" and the belt wasn't quite lined up. Today a made up a 1" spacer and moved the whole assembly over 1/2". Still not sure I'm happy with it. I'll post more later about that. I do know the belt is a bit on the long side for only having the 3 pulleys and no guides. But on the plus side it EATS TREES !! Here's a video... P. S. I'll be taking recommendations for a color of the chipper for when we repaint it. I'm leaning a little towards a bright gloss red. Maybe yellow. Black. Grey.

So yesterday I picked-up a C175. She was rusting away as she was stored outside. She had a new to her Kohler K341. @squonk The previous owner indeed better had"LET AN ELECTRICIAN CHECK his SHORTS!" as bad wiring shorted the battery out, and exploded/melted. She has a Sundstrand hydro pump with a Filter, is that normal? By the pump I believe it's a 1980. But you never now for sure as it's made in Oevel. Due to the bad wiring, the engine was in no running condition. But don't think the K341 has many hours on it. The hydro I don't know if it works. She was hard to push. So i lift up one wheel, so we could roll here one one wheel and the diff prevented the trans from locking up. So first things to do: 1) get the engine running 2) replace the steering wheel, but don't think removing it will be very hard as it's already split in two. 3) replace the axleseals, the oil leak caused a lot of sandbuild up as she was mainly used on for leveling out a horse track. 4) clean all the acid and remove all the old wiring to do a full rewiring 5) replace the plastic seat pan with a metal. 6)... I'm looking forward on my first C. It's also my first hydro, I don't know a lot about them and prefer actual gears. Simpler and need less maintenance (parts-shortage). But since I couldn't find another project WH and me hearing a lot of good things about hydro's on the forum.. I finally took the shot.

Finished the wood/tractor shed project. I had enough scrap metal to cover the 31 yo rotted T111 siding. Now for the paint. Any tips on painting over painted siding? There is one piece of unpainted galvanized.

Spray with water and vinegar to etch a little into the metal and let it sit and dry. Rinse. Paint. My FIL worked for Mobile Exxon paint division for years and insists this is the way to paint metal siding, roofing etc.

Thanks Dan, i feel fine and got on Thursday the Result - negative. So i had lost 2 day‘s Holiday‘s because of this ***** Test. What a week, it‘s the Week of Bad news..... i was sure i be free of Covid, but after that quicktest shows a positive result, the Company wants me to go to a Official Testcenter because you can‘t never know. That was the first bad news in this Week, the second was the Big Show this year is also still a nono for me... 🤨 I‘m definitively no amused about that. At least the „Hydraulic hoseman“ calls me back, he still wait for Fittings, because the last delivery is still missing, so he needs the few he had for Emergency purposes. - i know about him he is a upright and honest guy and make a great job. He is allway‘s fair and make fair prices, so i agree to that. delayed is not interrupted.

I finally finished the vacuum fuel pump installation on my C175 auto, rebuilt the center mower deck spindle, and replaced the idler/tensioner pulley on the deck. Mowing the yard is so much more pleasant with a quiet deck and quicker with an auto but the KT17-II snarls so loud!

i logged in this morning to see just this: i am not going to go back and look, i am just going to assume you found a way to make all your horses 4 times bigger and I NEED TO KNOW HOW!!!

It's possible that a simple PTO adjustment will fix you up. There's a trunnion at the PTO end of the rod that connects to the lever. Tighten that up a few turns and see if that helps.

Got the Horse and trailer out after dinner. Moved a load of composting leaves out of the woods into our raised bed planter, then two loads of leaves that had turned into dirt into the planter. A FEL would have made that job easier.... Hopefully, we will get stuff planted this weekend. Looking forward to garden tomatoes - didn't plant any the last couple of years.

I just got my newest edition loaded up at @bizon place, full restoration coming on it, as she is in pretty rough shape. The only Black hood in Belgium I know off was just sitting there in the rain turning into a orange hood. Her new Kohler 16 doesn't run, so could not check the sundstrand hydro with filter out. Pray everything will be okay.

Picked this little monster up yesterday 30 miles from home- FOR FREE! His marketplace ad was 'come get it before it goes to scrap' and had 14 messages in under 30 minutes. I offered him $100 cash to pull the ad immediately, hold it for a few days, and that i'd hate to see it scrapped. Went to pick it up yesterday- 2 brand new front tires, rears hold air, trans shifts, engine spins by hand and has compression, spindles, tie rods, steering etc.. all nice and snug. HE WOULD NOT TAKE MY MONEY, and believe me I tried. Said he parked it in '19 due to battery drain issues and the fact he inherited his grandfathers new mower, who had just passed. Its nice to know there's still good folks out there who's word is their bond. No, I am not going to make a off roader out of it!!!!!!

Hit up one of the marine supply places in Portland. They carry various types of boat seat foam that hold up a lot better in the humidity. Wont mold up.

After letting my lift cylinder on the C160 leak for the past few years I sent it to Lowell to have new orings installed. He did a great job and I'm very happy with it. Now a few weeks later the orings in the control valve have decided to leak. O well, what do you expect from a 47 year old tractor?? I'll repair that and hope that's it for issues for this year!!

@8ntruck yes I did make up a couple big rugged rods for mine. Works good. @Ifixoldjunk I can look up and send you a link later. I used *** 7/16 double male tie rods. I went one size up because the strength difference is huge. You need to drill out the tie rod mounting holes obviously. BUT that works out well in most situations because a LOT of the Wheelhorse steering holes are slightly oblong/egged. @Crazyredhorse I bought a set of those rods off the flea bay. There many sellers. The ones I got were not even close to drilled straight and used end joints that were already a little loose at new. IMHO it's best to stick with a known vendor such as our own Wheelhorsepartsandmore.com. The price is right and the quality is excellent. I agree. I'll see if I can get some time put into it this weekend.

Got a little more done on the 1257, got most of the re painted parts back on and a few decals installed thanks to @Vinylguy and installed my 3D printed headlight cover and hood ornament thanks to @Wheel Horse 3D. So with all the help it's coming along nicly!

Turned these wheels black and shiny this morning, should finish the fronts tomorrow.
