A fellow Mafia member decided that life as he knew it just wasn't worth it any more, so the poor sap went & got hitched. @WHX24 and I were in attendance to give our condolences. To help cheer the new groom up a mini tractor show and some cruising was on the schedule for the after party. The groom parked 17 of his toys out front plus there were 12 more tractors there that 3 of us mafia member brought to the festivities. A picture of the line up that Jim & I brought.

Painted my 314 muffler again! I do about every two years to keep future problems away! Also ran the 702 a couple times. Gassed it up checked for issues and good to go. I am taking my 702 to Portland, Indiana for the Tri-State Engine Association swap Meet next week!

I'm on the replacing seats kick now.Just did the 418-A and now it's the 312-8's turn. Picked up this NOS seat years ago, the date on it is 2006. The one I removed is going on the 310-8 and is still in very nice condition.

Started up the WH Custom Truck, went on first try. Tried the hydraulic bed and took a video. Couple details and it will be ready to show. The truck has the has dual hydraulic controls, one for the bed the other for the original deck / rockshaft lift. Got some crazy idea I may want to plow snow with it some day. I also has a rear rockshaft if I want to put the sleeve hitch on and use a box scraper.

And I was the only one ther with a plow!?! Whats up with that??? Looks like Dan fingered out how to use the panoramic on his new phone... what's worse is he taught my missus how to use hers! Gotta admit was an impressive line up with only three collections present. Our hostess with the mostess had a real nice restoed 1855 Massey labeled Snapper with a 22 Predator in it for a repo. Dan and I both got seat time! What a beast! He also has a Massey-Harris H & M he cranked up for us.

Got up this morning and had some lovely cowboy 🤠 coffee ☕. The local inhouse cook made us up some breakfast of our own eggs 🍳. Her daughter's fresh pig turned into sausage by Trina. And some very good and rarely eaten bread. Me, my old ball n chain, and her old bat mom spent some time in the woods processing firewood today. The two ladies split up two good piles o wood and also stacked some. I popped the Mckissick chipper off Cinnamon Horse C160 and used Trina's trailer to haul out a couple loads.

Today was Kohler day in N. Berwick,Me. The Onan stayed out of sight. Lined them up from 12 HP to 20. great day today. Went for a trail ride and the trails need some pickup. Will wait for a little bit more wind to take the blackflies into a neighboring State.

Sitting at breakfast we saw a falcon on the field opposite having just taken a pigeon. This is him. Or her. Peregrine falcon, pretty rare for our area as we have no tall buildings around where they nest. First one I've ever seen. When it had done feeding I collected the pigeon. It was a racer and I managed to contact the owner who was from a place called Oswestry, 150 miles away or so. The bird had been released from Frome in Somerset and went missing yesterday. He was an old guy and despite being upset at the loss of his bird he was very thankful for me letting him know what had happened to it. Kind of a bitter sweet experience as I was thrilled to see such a beautiful bird but also sad at the loss of a prized racing pigeon. Nature is a fickle old mistress. Mick

We had those wheels that are on the Ranger now on our 73 grand Torino sport. That was a midsize car but it was a big thing and those wheels looked puny to us so we ended up putting 15x10’s on the back and 15x8’s on the front and that helped fill out the Coke bottle sized wheel wells. They were aftermarket. Ford actually only put 14x7’s on their Torino‘s.

Cleaned up the exhaust stud threads that were shot with a die and got 2 new nuts. Just waiting on a gasket and the 315 will be back in service just in time for some side work at the neighbors house. Also got all the attachments and storage area organized finally.

Fetched my “New to Me”, ring roller home. (The larger one, the smaller one I use for making nice grooves in the ground for sowing grass seed). Repaired the “greasers”, new barrel nipples, originals had rusted away. C121 pulls it no trouble. Found some old spike harrow teeth to weld onto the bottom of the homemade ditching bucket, I don’t know why I bothered with old teeth, I’ve a few boxes of new ones, very expensive, cost me £1.00p at the local machinery sale, 😀 Paddock grass is now growing like mad, must sort out the sickle mower ready for hay cutting! 312-8 has got to the point where I must do something with it. It’ll run fine mowing, then decide to cut out. When spun over on the starter, the engine spins over with no compression, until it cools down a few minutes later, then compression returns, it starts and runs ok for a while. I’m sure it’s the exhaust valve binding when hot, everything else has been changed since this first happened! what I like about the, “New”, roller is, it was manufactured at a long gone engineering works in the town where I was born, 6 mls away. Doug.

Patina'd up the 854's gas tank today. I'm thinking this tractor is sexy now.

Don't shoot it's just a picture ha plus there's a wheel horse next to it might hit it. I was thinking of doing like the case did tall tires I know it might involve modding fenders to go up like that. I thought it be pretty neat. Only thought would it be to hard on the hydro trans. I know it's not a huge garden we have it's 100x 50 I have 200 ears of corn planted and everything else in there just thought neat to have the kids pretend they are farming

Hi guys, I have a habit of starting a small project that turns into a rather large project. Anyway I going to start a proper restoration thread now. Here is the start. The only thing I’m sure about is the rebuilt eight speed from last winter and this frame with the electric lift bracket. I’ll post all updates here. Wish me luck!

Welcome to Red Square !! Obviously, we know what a 12-8 looks like, but we like pictures. Talking about pictures, it would be nice to see pictures of the tiller or a model number to be able to help you out. I will tell you that we have a "Manuals Section" on the Main Page that you are welcome to page through and copy anything you want. The Manuals about tillers will show you what horses they work on and how to hook them up. You can consider your 12-8 no name a "C" series tractor for purposes of what attachments fit.

Here is the tractor I take in the woods/ It's raised up a couple of inches with reinforced front spindles for 6" wheels and 400 x 8 triribs and 25 x 9oo x 12 on the rear. The rear fender and gas tank is raised 1 3/4". and has 80 lbs. of wheel weights in each rear wheel. I also raised the steering wheel 3". Other then that it is a stock 312-8 except for the reinforced foot pads. The original owner must have weighted 500 lbs. the way the foot pads were bent up. I hammered them back straight and welded a 3/8" rod under the out side edge. They don't give now when I climb on. I almost forgot I added a frame brace. Its still a worker grading, mowing, trailer and wagon puller.

He's thinkin now we have to evacuate cause the old man robbed a cooling fan off the desktop ...now the 'puter gonna overheat and have a nuclear meltdown.....

I went to son Marks place and picked up my log splitter to work on the tree we cut up yesterday. On the way home this 855 jumped on the trailer. So much for downsizing.

So I have yet again dove head first into another hobby. Started out few weeks ago saw an ad in FB for 1973 Wheel Horse 12-8 (no name) tractor, had a belly mower, disk and a rock rake for a negotiated price. My first thoughts “ something to simply pull a garden cart around, utility trailer from backyard to front yard to hook to my truck ( limited space in back yard as cannot get my crew cab truck back there). Get it home, straighten out few items then a thought hits me”hey, find a tiller attachment to use in my veggie garden vs the walk behind tiller which takes its toll on this 63 year old knee. Needless to say that was not an easy task. Located another 1971 Raider, bad 12hp engine , another 12 horse Kohler ready to go on it, a snow plow(useless here in Alabama), a belly mower, and a Tiller!! My problem this package deal ( of which wife and I drove 500 miles to get) is lots of loose parts, thus I need some beginner instructions as to what all is needed to attach this tiller to my first tractor( diagrams would be appreciated). Thanks in advance.

Sure is, and it is comfy Mike. The PO did a nice job cutting the back down to a good height. It still flips down for easy mounting...and even the right color.

Got this BEAST of a gen-set from @Stepney awhile ago. Been setting in the utility trailer since. We need the trailer for next weekend so we finally took a few minutes of VERY hard work and weaseled it down to the shed.

Started putting the dash together and trying to figure out how to mount some headlights since wont fit under the hood. Oh well don't think looks to bad. Also tore it all back down and started the re paint. So hopfuly next time it goes back together will be the last time. Then just need wiring and decals on.

No filter. So the oil itself has to hold the dirt for you.

I would add a couple ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil to the gas should loosen it up, if that is not sold over there transmission fluid is pretty close to the same thing.

You can get Wheel Horse parts etc in Europe but not in anyway as easy, or as cheap, as in the USA. Even though Wheel Horse had a factory in Belgium they were not as prolific over here. Some of the Belgian products in England were sold as Mountfields who imported them. I have two. C-81 and C-121. My C-125 and my Sears GT16, both American made, were most likely imported by American servicemen stationed over here. As for hours I've no clue how many mine have done. 25 are the recommended oil change intervals.

I put the rake on the new Horse. Did pretty good. Needs a bit more tractor weight though.

@ebinmaine - amazing how stable that bar oil jug/peavey/log roller combination appears to be..... We got back to our 'primary location' in Michigan today. My neighbor at the lakefront had a tree guy into take down one of his trees. I had asked him to have the guy take out one of my trees that was in poor shape when he was here. I've now got about 20' of oak log in my yard needing processing. Going to haveto get that old Mini Mac 16 chain saw running again. That oak log is too much for my battery powered Black & Decker chain saw.

First update. Clean sandblasted parts! Bunch more getting blasted tomorrow. Progress may be slow, I’ve got a bunch of yard projects in the works!

Don't they fit on every 12 inch rear wheel?

Organized my front barn and got all my other attachments together (except blower and tiller)

It's a Tuffline 60in ATV rake. It has an adjustable height hitch and attaches with a 1-7/8 ball. I can reach the rake height adjusting handle from the seat. Very convenient, but I would like to make the adjustments hydraulic someday.

Got the roof on the new wood shed just in time. A tree blew over into the field where the neighbor was ready to plant cantalopes. I got some help from son and grandson and removed it today.
