11 pointsGood luck Steve and prayers for a successful surgery and recovery . Just think how well you’ll be able to breathe after the surgeon gets done chiseling out your nose . You’re going to feel like a high compression , cammed , ported and polished Koehler pulling engine ! You guys know the feeling when you pull a big bugger out of your nose . ....
-
11 pointsPraying for my brother today! I also called ahead to the surgery center and told them to make sure the gown is put on the correct way!
-
10 points@Stormin Norm I thought Steve was having hemorrhoid surgery , was wondering why they were going in thru his nose. You never know with modern medicine Doctors these days.

7 pointsI love my Masseys. If you are going to get one. step up to a 14 or 16. Two speed Sundstrand hydro, shaft driven, hydraulic lift, and a beast of a tractor. I don't have a 16 yet, But keeping my eye out for one.

6 pointsThe interior design department wanted an industrial looking light fitting for our kitchen. Have you seen the price of those things? So the "I can knock one of those up" department had a go and came up with this... Scaffolding tube and fittings with a few coolie hat down lights and some bits of industrial decoration.

5 pointsMichigan seat company was acquire by Jason-milsco seat company. The problem is they are not producing the Michigan seat low back V-250 and the mid-high back V-3500 . These are the the oem style seat minus the logo and also many other tractor manufacturers. Craftsman , Murray and MTD just to name a few. Northern Tool had ran out of these a few years back then got restocked and now sold out again. It’s obvious that these seats are popular. Let’s let them know that there’s a market for these seats , so please call or email them to let them know. Jackson Mi. factory (517)787-3650 and Milsco https://www.milsco.com/contact-us/

5 pointsMight be the nostalgia, but a square fender JD 112 might be nice, like the one I grew up around. This is it, brand-new in 1970. It got the headlights in the front panel a few months later; they had to be added as a kit and the kits weren't in stock when my dad took delivery. It was always well-maintained, but sadly wasn't kept past the early 2000's. I liked that tractor -- well-built, comfortable, well-laid out operator station, great Kohler engine. Just not always the easiest to change belts and such on, and JD parts tend toward more specialized ones and have never been exactly inexpensive. Much prefer the simplicity and standardized parts on Wheel Horse. My dad, on the other hand, would have been mortified to know I keep a Wheel Horse -- He never liked anything about WH. "Cheaply built... Outdated... Company was ****..." -- No end of trash-talk. But it had something to do with his job in IRS collections in South Bend. My guess is he never liked the Ponds' frugal ways. Companies that kept their finances conservative tended to leave fewer opportunities for taxation that wasn't cut-and-dried, leaving few opportunities to pick up anything more on audits. Which probably didn't do him any favors for performance ratings. (Of course, he ran his own, and the family's, finances to avoid having to pay one cent more than necessary... so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

5 pointsMilsco has a plant in Redgranite. I could always take a ride across town & knock on their door to let them know. I also know people in the mold shop there, in fact I'm pretty sure that some of the molds for those seats reside in Redgranite. It would be hard to convince the factory to run the seats that we want though. It is not good for a factory to keep finished goods in inventory. They would need a vendor to place a big order so that the vendor can worry about keeping the inventory. May be a better idea to start bugging Northern Tool to place an order.

5 pointsRun a dollar bill through the points a few times to clean the oxide off and see if you get spark. Be careful and not use bigger bills. You might give the horse the impression your a big spender and it will want new parts.

5 pointsNot sure what this qualifies as... but I found it searching for ‘29 Sedan Hot Rods. Sure is nifty! @ebinmaine I could see this being BBT’s winter beater!

4 pointsTook a couple minutes and cleaned up the hoop for the PTO going on Cinnamon Horse. My lovely Paint Department put some gloss black on it. Also set the other parts in the utility sink to soak overnight. Hopefully have all the parts lined up Wednesday afternoon...

-
4 pointsSteve, I pray the your sugary will be successful and the recovery painless. Whatever you do don't allow them to remove your sense of humor!

4 pointsMany members replace the plastic rear fenders with the metal fenders from the earlier C series or metal one from the 300, 400, 500 series. They will bolt right up, no hole drilling required

3 pointsYou need a 1990's Lawn Boy Gold-Pro 3 speed. Not the later DuraForce, but the classic looking version. F-model 2 cycle will run until the cooling of the sun, the cast iron 3 speed pulls hard and they never go wrong. Cast aluminum deck lasts forever with minimal care. Cuts like glass, quiet under deck exhaust, bags or mulches equally well. Getting kind of rare here in Maine, usually sent for scrap as soon as they need a carb clean.. I dont like the roller-drive LB machines personally. If SP isnt a big deal, the pusher LB's were all tanks. Nothing bad to say about old 2 or 4 cycle Suzuki powered Toro 21's either. Same 3 speed tranny as the LB. Old Snappers are cool but I'm not the biggest fan of the little B&S engines. The 'Zuki and LB engines will cut moderate brush long after the B&S has stalled in some tall grass. I used to turn 20-30 mowers a year over here from the yards. The LB's that were too rough to save we would monthly try to destroy one.. very rarely did we succeed.

3 points@OldWorkHorse I did run under a low branch, and thought it was a goner. I kinda jumped off the side of the tractor because I thought I was going to be clobbered by a hot stack crashing down on me. The stack held fast, but I learned my lesson!

3 pointsGot the new fronts on Rosie. Lookin' good!! I love that the new spindles have bolts instead of retention rings. Seems much sturdier. They fit perfectly! Then took the rears off, and put them in the back of the car for drop off at the shop tomorrow. While the rear tires are off, decided to take off the attach-a-matic because the connector bar broke. Will drop off at the welder tomorrow. There was quite a lot of grease and gunk on it. Is this normal, or do I have a leak somewhere? Also worked on the snow plow some. Received the handle parts and got everything assembled. Need to figure out what to use for the "upper index rod" that goes from the triangular plate to the control handle/release thing. Tried a piece of wire, but it wasn't quite sturdy enough. Wonder if fine chain would work... Was also planning to replace the lower rod that holds the blade on, but that sucker is rusted on. I don't know what I'm going to do about that. The entire release and swivel mechanism is quite stiff, but it's difficult to see what's going on inside the head, and I can't get the main bolt out (seems to be rusted in) to be able to clean and grease everything. Advice?

3 pointsThis evening I checked my cctv as my neighbour found one of his garden lights damaged by someone climbing over his fence. Found a thief at 2 am climbing into my garden and trying to break into my shed. I wish I could get my hands on the scum. See if he can go stealing with broken legs. But then, I recall one of our local thieves who was paralysed from the waist down in a car crash (stolen car so no sympathy). The government gave him a specially adapted car and he used it to drive other thieves round. Maybe the arabs have it right cutting their hands off.

3 pointsThe Tecky from the 656 got a face lift today. I just didn't think the red would go well with the new color scheme I have planned for the tractor.

3 pointsFYI. He's having some pollocks up his nose removed. I think that's the name for them. Help him breath better and talk faster.

3 pointsFirst i got few wooden Beams from Mart‘l for my planed new Pavillion and the extension rack in the Shed. the 4 i bundled become the Main posts 9cm x 6cm with 2,20m height and the 2 right aside becomes the both Top Supports. So 1/3 of the needed Material is now still here - for Free. The other 4 Posts being used to extend my High storage Rack. 2,5m in height and 5 meter in width to extend the Areal where now the green Tarp is. Because i like to cut them in size with the Bandsaw i need a Support, because they are 2,60m long and too heavy for the Bandsaw sideway‘s. So i start the Welder and buzzing quick few Steeltubes together. few drilled holes and - Tadaaa. a nice Lazy support to be able also cut long pieces. In the U profile shape i can put pipes in or on without rolling away. Simply and useful. yap, ya maybe right, it seems there is missing 2 legs, but not in my World because that was planed. So i can store them aside space saving and i can stabilize them with few wooden blocks or also with 2 Stoneplates Or whatever comes handy and heavy enough and it is rocksolid. A little woobly is wished by myself to move the material +-2cm arround to get it in the right Cut point quick. To vary the height simply press the pin and push or pull until next click the stepsize i choosed in 4 cm steps, based from the top level of the Bandsaw. Next step is the underside of the U align to the Bandsaw and so on.. The mid point is the top of the U aligned to the Bandsaw. The first tests works pretty nice. you see right, the Iseki is parked front end away and the Clamped Steel Bar on the Rear becomes another Project. But it goes maybe slow, i plan myself a small Backhoe completely selfmade from scratch like my FEL was done. some Hydraulic parts are allready ordered.

3 pointsShow is on for June 25-26th with some additional precautions. Mask required inside the building and for close socializing. Dues to be paid ahead of time to avoid lines at registration. Must be a member to sell at show. I just received my WHCC newsletter yesterday. Y'all should have yours soon. See you there. Jim

3 pointsSteve, May our good Lord guide the Surgeon and staff in their task. May all be successful and you have a speedy recovery. well tell everyone to put their tranny issues on hold for a while
-
3 pointsThe adjuster looks more like an Ohio Steel design. I would guess that you have an 8" or 10" plow not a 12" A correct measurement would be taken along the red line. This would be your actual cutting width.

3 pointsI picked up this 1992 520H a couple of weeks ago from my boss that has owned it since it was brand new. It was always garaged kept and cleaned thoroughly when he was done with it at the end of the season. It's still in immaculate condition for the year and being a well used mower. It has over 900Hrs on it but had a new block installed a few years ago. He provided me with all maintenance records along with all the owners manuals, service manuals, buyers brochures and even the bill of sale from original purchase. He gave me a snow plow and attachments for it, rear rack with sprayer on it and I am also storing his aerater for him so i can also use that anytime I want. This was a heck of a score and got all this for $350. Sold my Husqvarna zero turn for $840 so made a profit and now have a great machine to play with. First picture was when I first brought it home and others are after i cleaned it up some.

3 pointsHot rods, strong trucks, buggies, dirt bikes, race cars, diesel stuff... and lately watching mma and various technical fighting. Funny story. My neighbor stopped by today. He’s the good ‘ole boy I plow for. He has a 1929 sedan hot rod and is looking to trade it for a mule, gator, etc. I suppose it’s time to look for one of those to trade!
