9 pointsI just finished putting together my latest horse hauler New tires, wiring, lights, and even has electric brakes! The taillights/turn signals are thin LED that fit inside the rear bumper. I'm going to diamond plate the whole bed eventually. The 2 x 6 's on the table are to screw to the top before covering it with a tarp. The bed is 18' x 8'

9 pointsMy boy Jeffrey and Jeffrey with one of his buddies at day play. Jeffrey was a rescue. I got him from the shelter after he was found roaming the streets severely injured. He needed surgery to close him back up. He has turned out to be a great dog. So glad our paths crossed.

9 points49 years ago today, the wife and I got married. I guess being April Fools day I have options.

8 pointsI wanted to give a shout out to Redo Your Horse. Terry is without doubt the best vendor I’ve ever dealt with, bar none. Last fall I sent him a picture of the decals of a 37” deck I’m restoring. He recreated them and sent them free of charge with the decals for my 416. Here are a couple of pics of my 416?progress. I have to admit, putting decals on is my favorite part! First a before pic. Btw I know the Danger sticker is upside right. Toro got it wrong!

7 pointsHas anyone ever successfully grown an avocado seed? The kids have been trying for quite some time and Rylee finally got one to sprout! It’s growing like crazy! Jada is great at re-sprouting succulent plants, they are everywhere.

7 pointsOh me either. But I always seem to rush most of my projects so I figured since this one started as a pile o parts I'd tske my time and do things in order haha. Getting all the little stuff and the fabrication stuff done then can put the metal on it I did toss the metal on her a few weeks back to make sure all there and fit! Did look pretty mean!

7 pointsThanks for the heads up on the UPS scam. FYI - If I happen to see any of you broke down on the side of the road, I'm going to drive right by. My reasoning for this is that I know for a fact that you all have had ample opportunity to purchase the extended warranty that has been offered to you over the phone at least once a week.

6 pointsI GOT 'EM! I found my other two ratchet straps and decided before taking off one of the beads and stuffing 2x4 in to spread them, heating them up... that I would try again with the ratchet straps. Still took a bit of finagling, but the three straps spread the sides just far enough that I was able to get them to take air. Now I have to repaint the damage the tire monkeys did, but such is life. They could have used a third coat anyway! So now on to the deck repairs... @ebinmaine @Oldskool @D_Mac

6 pointsGetting a bit done today on Hiram. I had a chance to drill and thread some holes, built the battery hold down. Found a tank and made a strap for it and made an exhaust brace. Also it was time to write out a check list. With alot of stuff down and not much finished it wa hard to keep track.

6 pointsI started this project and had been on the back burner. I have decided to pick up where I left off. Now I salvaged this tractor not really knowing what it is. At first sight thought it was an A 90 Special. Then the tag said otherwise. (Obviously the hood stand is next in line for re-paint) I stripped it down and rebuilt what is there, including the peerless. Decided a K241AS with compression release on a cradle would be nice, as it was just on my shelf! The kohler is a 12v battery conversion. I know the flywheel is heavy but hoping that'll not be an issue. (Any input from someone familiar with a battery conversion is welcomed greatly!) However, I have no idea what a generator starter engine will do mounted on a cradle, a bit on the heavy side. Plus the style of PTO used in conjunction not dis-similar to my C-141, the hood stand & cradle already designed for that. The drive belt may be an issue depending on the drive pulley I go with? I have a sleeve on the drive shaft to move up but may just stick to 1", all depends on the drive pulley I have on the shelf. Also went with the old foot rests. Seems as though Wheel Horse just had a pile of left over parts whenever this machine was introduced.......(Also, I am aware this steering wheel is not correct, just being used to push her around!) Actually not that it matters as after all this is not a factory restoration! I can add to this post as I go, excited to see the end results!

6 pointsWhile I do like the look of the hex, I got to thinking about how I was going to cut 7/8" steel hex, and suddenly, my arm got really tired. I already had these materials ordered, and on hand, so I made these up for the 656.

6 pointsIf it's a real person I just hang up on the men. If it's a woman I just softly say "What are you wearing". They hang up on me...

6 pointsCongratulations Bear !! And thank you !! You helped my relationship with the ole lady out a bit. I was "discussing" with her as to how nice that tractor would look in our line up & was actually considering making a trip to Ohio to pick it up. She was reluctantly warming up to the idea. Ya right !!! I guess she'll have to wait until the next tractor shows up to have a reason to be upset with me.

5 pointsThis is my old girl. Had to put her down a couple years ago and I miss her real bad. She was beside me all the time! RIP. D O G 17 years

5 pointsThis our "Daddy's girl" Sophi. She is my house alarm, fishin' partner, snuggly fluff ball, and all around diva. Sorcha is the first cat that I've had that likes to play fetch. If you think that you are done playing fetch before she thinks the game is over, she will drop her toy in a water dish and then drop it in your lap. It's like she knows that this will get you to throw the toy again. She's pretty good at nap time as well.

5 pointsThe weather that Alaskan Malamutes love! This is Juno, our rescue, who will be 13 years old in 8 days. We adopted her 5-1/2 years ago but is getting close to crossing the Rainbow Bridge. She has had two episodes of being unable to stand in the past few months so is now up to 900mg of Gabapetin daily. But she still perks up to see her next door neighbors!

5 pointsThe newest was in the garage already when Bubba commented to his wife that the wigged out on her night stand complimented her eyes nicely and she was beautiful no matter her hair style... she just shook her head and asked him how much he paid for the , did it run, and could it fit in the garage with door closed... Bubba went to bed content knowing he had married up... way up...

4 pointsThis is my little girl, Poppy. She is a Shi Tzu cross and quite a character. We rescued her from a shelter, she was very ill and neglected and we thought she would not survive the adoption process. But she rallied and 7 years on she is still giving us hell. She is o lying small but runs the joint pretty much. We board other peoples dogs as a business and she is the pack leader. Puts everyone in their place lol. Oh and she loves tractors.
-
4 pointsI'm pretty sure these will outlast me. All these tractors have to do, is haul my lard butt around.

4 pointsSome of you fellas disagree with what a few folks, myself included, are doing/have done with some of our beloved Horses, but if you read this to the end, you may not feel the need to send a lynch mob just yet The WH unidrives are TOUGH, even the early 3/4 speeds, that is exactly what makes them so appealing to the folks who want to hotrod them or otherwise do things they were not intended for. Add that to one super beefy chassis, front axle, spindles and and steering, and they're hard to say no to.. The 654 I had ran a hopped up 11hp OHV and ran 28mph. Trans input speed was something like 12,000rpm versus 2400-2500 stock. The trans was worn and noisy when I got it (it matched the rest of the machine) and was no worse when I sold it. I ran it for a entire summer and the only failure was one broken axle hub, which was destroyed and had a keyway that wrapped 1/4 turn around the hub when I got it. After feeling guilty about using a round hood for the shenanigans I sold it, and last I heard it was back to stock and pulling a firewood wagon through the woods. That makes me happy Wanting to still have some fun but with a somewhat less desirable model, I built the B-1 bomber, and am using it more as a utility/offroad crawler than a beater. Aside from beefing up the spindles a bit, a set of gnarly ATV tires, and a link to tie the brake to the deck lift arm for stopping, nothing has been done that cant be undone back to original in an afternoon. The stock K321 retains the governor at 3400-3500, the big 8 pinion 8 speed has flipped pinions to lock the axles (no welding!), and the stock pulleys are on the shelf. Top speed is 17-18mph. Trans input speed is in the 7200-7500rpm range and it stays happy, cool, and quiet there. Field reports from other guys running Horses, they have seen an occasional broken axle of the 1" variety, and they have to keep an eye on the hubs, checking after every ride or two. Most are running 15-20mph top speeds, with a few nuts running well over that, and they are being powered by everything from stock K181s to hopped up V twins and diesels. Some of these guys are beating the living TAR out of them on a regular basis, and they hold up to whatever is thrown at them. Yes, it tugs at the heart strings a bit seeing some of the beatings these guys are giving their Horses, but to each his own I guess. Really don't know what the limits are on these transmissions, but the offroad guys are pushing them far beyond their limits, and rarely seem to hurt them one bit. WHEEL HORSE TOUGH!

4 pointsYou could just have a grill and hood stand like this one @stevasaurus was joyriding on.

4 pointsBought this 420 LSE. It’s #37/200. More of a worker than a show tractor. I’ll probably continue to use it as a worker. Needs some cosmetic elbow grease more than anything. Came with 48” deck, & wheel horse grass catcher system, Snow Blower, 2 aerators, (plug & spike type), & a grass thatcher.
-
4 pointsShouldn't be an issue on that one because there really isn't much to do. Disassembly. Repaint. Bolt the engine down. No wiring. No cables. And Trina is doing most of the work. All I'm going to do on that one is split the transmission and reassemble and give her a hand lining up the engine. She may very well get started on that this weekend in fact.

4 pointsIf the bearing is good, make sure the axle is smooth in the seal area. I had an issues with repop seal manufactures. You are better off getting those seals away from EBAy repops. I use https://wheelhorsepartsandmore.com/shop-now/ good quality there as well as a few others. Also, you can tap the seal in a little deeper and that will cause it to run on a different area of the shaft. Always use the tape. I don't spiral wrap the shaft, I put a long piece over the key area, letting it hang over the end of the axle. Apply oil to the seal and axle before sliding it on.
