I know you can buy a C-195.... but not here in the UK - and besides, what’s the fun in buying when you can make your own so starting with a gearbox and frame - I’m adding the bits. Big front wheels and GT-14 rears.

before I miss some pictures and progress, best add a little more detail. I didn't have any GT14 hubs, and besides they won't fit a manual trans. So made my own... I don't think these are going anywhere soon, I think they should work well. Once I bolted the wheels one, theres a snag - the offset it wrong and it is about 26 inches wide at the rear! So off with the tyre and drill the spot welds out to move the centres. this was tedious - but needed doing. It now looks to sit a little better - also put 10" wheels on trailer hubs at the front to balance it.

Being mostly retired is having some benefits... maybe even find enough time to paint that left front wheel...first year I ever got such an early start on NEXT year's firewood stack. We used to move the firewood with hand carts..... Horse and trailer cut the time in half (and saved my 75 year old back). Probably last job of the year for my winter Horse.....time to break out the summer Horse. Couple more cords stacked next week and ready for next winter,,, Mike B

Temporarily tossed the tranny and hubs on the 1257H project to make it a roller to finally get to see it with 4 wheels on and rolling! It's coming along slowly but she will get there soon!

Other than a bit of clean up with the loader tractor, I just did organizing, classified ads and project parts prep/finding. “Screamin Jimmy” might not need the second pedal any more (until Rylee’s kids are ready to learn some day!) so I found a spare floorboard and a battery box as the one one the tractor is beat up. I have totes from the 2019 Big Show I haven’t gone through completely so figured I’d clean up shop a bit. I Horse traded Rylee for “Filly” the 1076 a while back, then helped a fellow member with the transmission out of it. A three speed is bolted to it for roll around purpose. That white seat makes me think future lowrider project! Funny thing, this is another transmission from a Commando 800 and the axle shafts are extremely wide!

That thing looks like very little will stop it, once it gets going. I also have a build in mind, A bit crazy maybe, and too many $$$, but if I can find the right roller, and some materials, it should be fun. I have won half the battle, but I fear it's the easy half, and it wasn't all THAT easy. I figured once I had the hitch off, and a hole through it, piece of cake. It wasn't, as many of you probably already know. I did use 2 propane torches with MAPP gas, and I think it did help. With a series of bolts nut, washers, and sockets, I got them out. Here's a tip. Before heating with your torch, REMOVE WRENCHES! But not to worry, if you forget, you will be reminded in a nano second, and you can rest easy knowing you won't do THAT again. If you do do THAT again, you have a much bigger problem. We might be cousins. That thought should keep you awake nights.

As for your connector they probably crimped both wires into one terminal. Or you could use a piggy back connector like one of these.

Just got back in from doing a mower repair at someone's home. They had always had this machine serviced but since the shop closed they have struggled to find anyone to look after it. My name was suggested by some friend as being someone they could trust. I looked over the machine, a small domestic cylinder mower. Pull cord was broken, I repaired that and no spark. New plug, bit of a clean and lube and topped up with a pint of oil. Took me 45 mins to do and just a few pounds in parts. I charged £25 for the work and parts and the elderly couple were blown away. They had tried a dealer and were very disappointed with the service and poor customer care. I enjoyed the trip out and meeting two lovely people, as well as getting him up and running with his mower. Im not a businessman but I understand how to deal with people fairly. I'll never make a mint but I'm happy to be doing something worthwhile.

Good honest workmanship, your customers will give you word of mouth advertising and you'll have more work than you can handle on some days. During the 1980's I repaired and sold appliances from home which eventually lead into doing in home repairs for family and friends then started getting service calls from total strangers. My service call fee was $30.00 and my policy was if the problem could be fixed with in the half hour would not charge an additional fee towards the hourly rate. During one of these occasions an old German fellow asked if I liked fishing, when I replied that I did he says I'll pick you up Saturday morning, when the old fart shows up gets out of the car to shoot the breeze a bit then as were heading towards the car with boat in tow he hands me the keys telling me to drive. Were heading for the Pacific for a day on the ocean, this turns out to be a weekly ritual with his eyesight failing he had commandeered my services as chauffeur and fishing partner. His boat a Boston Whaler that looked like a 12.5 ft duck punt with a 50 hp Merc hanging off the stern, I had asked him one day how long he had owned the boat, told me one day a brochure for the Vancouver boat show came in the mail to his tailor shop. He decided attend and purchased the boat there. When he had arrived home with the boat his wife gave him an ultimatum telling him either the boat goes or I go, Old George laughs saying that was thirteen years ago and I still have the boat.

The GT-14 was made from 1969 -1972...meaning it is 50+ yrs old. With out a doubt, the hydro pump has internal wear causing low power which deteriorates as the hydro warms up...right? There are internal soft brass surfaces that get scored causing loss of hydraulic pressure, leading to power loss. The only solution is a rebuild. You can try replacing the filter and fluid (ATF or motor oil) which mignt help a little bit, but eventually rebuild is in order. Your GT-14 tractor has the Sundstrand model 90-2062 Hydro-Gear unit and I have the 'refurbished' parts you'll need. That is, 1) Cylinder block & 9 brass pistons (2) charge pump housing with Gerotor set, (3) Thurst plate. I can also provide you with a supplier for the Gaskets and O-rings needed. ps..I've rebuilt many of these over the 30 years of working with Wheelhorse tractors. Hello all you Wheelhorse fans its BBT(Trina). I went for a hike today and figured you would enjoy all the pics from our mountains of Maine. I had the pleasure of using a new camera gifted to me for these occasions by @WHX24 Jim. A big thank you as this worked great as you all will see. Caught a hawk riding the thermals first vantage point looking out toward the mountains we live on Trail photos on the way up Pleasant mountain view from the top views from the top Burnt meadow pond below where I started the adventure. headed down the other side Mount Chocorua and the three sisters great hike as well. that will be more pictures for another day... To get this going here's mine buddy is in the photo

Pull on the governor arm to open the throttle to wide open. This is the direction that it will move to open the throttle. Loosen the pinch bolt on the throttle arm. Hold the throttle arm so the the carb is wide open. Turn the governor shaft until it stops in the same direction that you had to move the arm. Hold every thing in place and tighten the pinch bolt. If you can grip the end of shaft with a small Visegrip and let the weight of the Visegrip hold the shaft in the correct direction while tightening the pinch bolt. I use this trick so that I can do this process by myself.

I built a solid link for the grader blade on Jane the Commando 6 and cleared a bit more path in the side brush area that used to be a dirt bike track. Then Rylee and I broke it in a bit. Green never looked so good in the shop!

OK...this is all of the horses that I have ever owned. The 502 this one is original...sold The second 502...had some mods and a 6 hp Tecumseh...sold The 702...original but for the front wheels...still have this one. The go to horse...857 original but for the seat...still have this one. The 876...I think original...I still have this one. The 1972 Raider 10...this one is in Europe now. The B-100...the 2010 WHCC Raffle tractor...still have this one. The Raider 12...sold The REO-65...I still have this one.

I have an old beat 445 Ford backhoe. We never noticed it, but right from the factory, the center was improperly welded to the wheel rim until one day,she broke loose and et all the air out big time.. we cut away the old rim and then gingerly ground the bits away until the center tightly fit a new rim. We did not know exactly how to make sure the thing would square up to the axle, and then the idea hit to just raise the side up with the backhoe and spin the tire with the transmission in gear into an indicator tip made from a piece of rebar weighted to a concrete block. Well, I'll tell you what, she is more squared up than the other OEM factory wheel.

checking out the new needed belt lenght, because of changed Pulley diameter and moved Engine i result finally in 67“. Belt is ordered.

Snow is melting quickly around here so we should be able to get back in the forest within maybe a couple weeks? Got about 15 trees laid down already so they're not taking sap. Going to section them up and bring them to the drying area out in the front yard.

There's your key. Most all LEDs have such a small amp draw you should have no issue. Definitely need to confirm specs on whatever you buy.

I love that shop....just like mine worked in! My neighbor once said "this place is a mess", yeah I know yours is clean and neat, he said, "i know but there is never anything going on in mine". I always got three things going on, kind of get board, work a little on another. Going to be sweet build.

I believe this was made by Ohio steel for wheel horse at the time. I've got one just like it and they are stout!!

It seems to me that it's highly unlikely that a truck will have a factory controller when it didn't come out of the factory with a receiver and connector.

I am not licensed for auto repair but stay plenty busy in the garage. I have most every tool needed and two hoists but none of those qualify my skill. Being able to u defat and the problem and relay it to the customer in an honest fashion is where my shop finds it’s pride. I had a car in last week for requested “struts and ball joints”. I ran to the parts store and picked up what I needed, got it in the air and one ball joint separated during disassembly. I decided to do the ball joints and test drive it myself. No problems with the struts at all. I could have easily listed them rendered bad but I chose to not waste his money on more parts and labor. Happy customer, clean conscious as he drove it away. No advertising needed, word of mouth is busy enough!

Generally all trailers over 3k lbs or more than one axle are required by law to have brakes. Like Squonk says Johnny law might not see it that way if you have them and not hooked up. He might just let the judge sort it out. I would get them working if the camper is equipped just to ease the wear and tear on truck brakes. Sides you never know when you might have to hook up to a big tandem to go on a mission from God....
