11 pointsGot the wheels finished up and tires re-installed for my 854 ; this is much more in line with what this tractor deserves. Original tires in near perfect condition, beautiful original lug nuts that were hiding under a horrible paint job. More to follow .......

7 pointsThe other day there was a post about having 2 tractors of the same year and model. I didn't think it was the place for my Massseys, even though they are red. I thought I could get by with putting them here. (I guess I really should have started a new topic. Maybe a mod can move this)

6 pointsIt's winter, I hate the cold so I have been researching, reading up on the interweb for interesting stuff to plant this year. Basically getting stupid ideas in my head and spending money. Going to expand the orchard ordered more peach, apple and nectarine tree. The berry garden is doing well going to enlarge that too, ordered purple raspberry, heirloom black raspberry, 6 more high bush blueberry, and try another strawberry variety. The one side of the property I have been clearing out all the scrub tree's, mostly maple and choke cherry. I am going to turn that area into all native grass and milk weed, do my part for the monarch butterfly Always liked the old fashioned orange heirloom poppy's found seeds for that. Back to the berry's, going to try raising blue berry bushes from seed too. My goal is to establish about 100 bushes on the property eventually. My cousin dropped off a really cool seed catalog that sells all odd ball stuff heirloom stuff. Made an order there too. Was going to order more Christmas but I will hold off til next year. I got about 150 in the ground already see what happens. I gotta factor in too all the heirloom irises on the property, this year shouldn't be bad, 2022 probably be a fair amount of bulb separating if everything stays on track. Next I gotta in gear and build some trellis's for the raspberries, some more wire tree cages and put more fence up This is going to keep me busy. Good thing my 9 year old wants to be a farmer. He's a big part of this.

5 pointsI know there are some guns and ammo guys here. A while back, I was given the chance to shoot a .50 Cal BMG. It was a time I’ll never forget! I’m glad I didn’t miss the target!

5 pointsActually before drilling all of these holes a little chisel work is called for so the edges of material are not split from the bit on the overlapping holes. Pieces is going to be planed again but best to avoid that damage.

5 pointsAdded this cordless, rechargeable flashing light that I got off Amazon to my plow WH this morning. Very nice magnetic base so I can move it to my snowblower WH. IMG_0567.MP4

5 pointsHere is my daily driver. 2004. Just turned 24k. Yes I said 24 not 240. Got a new set of tires on it 2 weeks ago. You dont see many reg cab, short boxes. It is nothing fancy. Yes this is the truck that came from a junk yard. It sat for over 10 years, owners junked it for scrap price. It had 17k when I got it. New fuel, tranny and brake lines. New AC compressor. New brakes all the way around. New shocks, wheels, and tires. Some wires repaired where a rodent chewed. I also put on the step bars, tonneau cover and leveling kit on it. If it wasnt for the fact that its 17 yrs old ... it would still be under warranty !!

4 pointsYou can always use it for its original purpose which is to drive nails. Now you just need to learn how to hold two nails in the right position for it with your left hand. Ouch.

4 pointsMy nieces husbands family owns the junk yard. I was in the hospital when it was collected. My nieces husband called my mother and said if she paid the scrap price, what they paid for it, he would do the work needed to get it back on the road. Then they would surprise me with it when I got out of the hospital. Well I was in the hospital way longer then was expected, so they showed me pictures of it as something to look forward to when I got better. Gave me something positive to think about all the weeks I was in there. Was very nice of his family and my own to do that for me. I still get choked up talking about it. Oh yeah .. I also added the sticker on back window that reads ...... " F&CK CANCER "

4 pointsNext set of holes are all to just waste material prior to chisel work or access holes to insert fretsaw blade. Another example of auger versatility, the fact that they come in 16ths of an inch. Lots of drilling now. Who needs a gym?

4 pointsI like compression in everything haha. Just gotta watch the heat. Amazingly, this has the factory radiator, 160 thermostat and a wimpy 4 blade fan. I saw 180 in traffic on a 90 degree day once And yeah, it does have a pretty unique 'snarl'- I shift it at 5800-6000

3 pointsWhen I was a counselor at Boy Scout camp, .22 rounds were 5¢ and the camp was making a small profit. Admittedly, that was in near prehistoric times, but post-flintlock!

3 pointsSo we were clearing some brush behind my house and found a crunched truck cab. ‘47/‘54 GMC. I love these trucks. Still have more to dig out but good for nothing but scrap. Keeping the emblems and whatever else I can keep for shop art when I get a shop No telling what else is out there. I dontthink anyone around here ever threw anything away...... just pushed it out back.

3 pointssomething like $7.50 a round? The first guy shooting lefty is Austin, the guy “I married” (to my SIL) but he didn’t marry me. His step dad’s brother purchased it 8-10 years ago and never was able to find a range willing to let him shoot. He brought 20 rounds and we shot about half that. I offered him $10 for my empty casing and he simply gave it to me.

3 pointsHad a lot of Fun..... here it snow‘s since few Day‘s with nearly no interrupt. So i the Horse get‘s it‘s Hardcore Test of the Snowplow. inbetween i need the Beast with the FEL, to drag the mass of snow the horse collects into my Field. Until Night we be in Winterservice. Funny - i love it... Neighbours apprecciate my Winterservice, and theWheel Horse gert‘s only best reputations.

3 pointsIt was a test. i previously thinkering about a round pipe, when i see the Rectangle pipe on my Steelwall. Than i decide how about a Rect. stack, the most have round tubes, so why not. So i grabed the Steelpipe cut it on my Bandsaw and give it a Try. first look seems a bit - huh let‘s say uncommon. thought also about an Rectangular Outlet, but i didn‘t have material in my needed Size aside. So i decide between a mix of round and rect and give it a Try how it sounds.

3 pointsHahahahaha I luv it, theres always a thousand and one ways to tweak, but always try to make a point of adding a grease point too. I find that is so important li8ke the ol days gone by......past years youd need a manual just to find all the grease points compared to today heheheheh, Like Studebaker LOL

3 pointsYes sir. I'll be doing the same. I'll most likely be welding the steering knuckle tab at the top instead of the bottom because it lines up better.
-
3 pointsFor mine I drilled a hole through the vertical portion of the C so that the spindle passes through it. It is only welded on the inside of the C, I thought this to be stronger than butt welding the 2 together. Plus it left a clean surface for the bearing to set against.

3 pointsId love to see the screws matte black or a matte silver. I think the 2 tone would look really sharp. But its ultimately your choice. Either way, its looking phenomenal and I look forward to the final product.
