I have been going through all my old hard drives and sd cards to get all my pictures in one place and safely backed up and found my pictures from when I first restored my Dad's OCC. I thought I would share. These were taken in 2006 and she still looks pretty dang good today! It does get to live indoors but we use it a lot. This tractor is serial #14,882 and I also own 14,883. I was just reading that certain words, terms and phrases will not longer be permitted on certain social media platforms. One of those words is “Tranny”. Now let’s all be very careful not to offend big tech and the snowflakes.

Best I can do is two that live on the same property..... Two different colors. Two different years. Two different models. Two different owners.

How about a threesome. All started out as Chargers or Electros with in one year of each other.

Got two of the same year? Same model? Snag a picture of them together and post ‘em up!

Thanks for posting, I finally scraped the paint away on ours that we have owned since 1977, just so I would know what year it was... 13301 not a 4 digit but still first 6 months of 1961 production., yours definitely looks better than ours at the moment.

Now there's a word that can mean two different things in the and besides trannie as in transmission. Over here a trannie can be a reference to a Ford Transit van or truck. I've had several conversations with members in the States about our use of the English language. Had to explain what a quid was last night. Slang for £1. I bet if I printed what the slang word is for a cigarette is over here, it would come up as ***.

I picked this up the other day for free. I think it fits well. A couple more bars in the middle and good to go. At lunch I took the time to make a list of what's left to do on the Y.E.T.I. I'm down to just 12 things. The light at the end of the tunnel??? Maybe.

Reproductions of those are on the way, 3d printed in METAL by Eston Hoffman, the same guy that is doing the small Whorse replicas. He's doing the larger hard to find one's first (like on a 701 etc), then the more common smaller ones.

Last year my brother bought the Powder Coating Gun from Eastwood and he just happened to have his old stove from his house at his shop, seemed like the proper thing to do would be coat some pieces. I tried to order powder from a few sources but shipping was like 2 weeks out, being the impatient guy I am I made a run to Harbor Freight and grabbed a container of black powder, unfortunately it's flat black but it was just an experiment. I have the the PTO off from my 312 so I decided to blast the rusty PTO switch bracket, PTO lever stop and battery hold down brackets. It was actually a bit easier than I thought but time will tell if it's coated properly and doesn't rust, since this tractor will live it's life out inside I don't see and issue. This was the result after 2 coats . Turned out decent though I wish it was semi gloss, the flat makes dirt stick to it. I'm using the oven rack with the pieces wired to it, time to make a cabinet that is tall enough that the oven rack will slide into to hold the parts while being coated and will have a filtered exhaust fan to suck up the excess powder. I was a fun project, just need the proper equipment to make it easier.

A few years back I made a few things for myself ( front bumper/weight hanger, snow/dozer blade skids rear axle tiller/plow hitch ect) and made a couple extra while I was at it, sold them to a couple members on here, I didn't profit $$$ wise but did profit from "experience" using the different machines and methods involved, wish I was still in a machine shop but I still have those skills should I return to that vocation, I still ponder the idea of a SmittyBuilt or Grizzly Mill/Lathe combo for small parts and other things I could make for myself or to help others when needed.

We have blueprints on hand (measured off of NOS parts) for almost all of the common/popular deck spindle housings and spindle shafts from the late 60's thru the mid 2000's decks, all of the PTO shafts and inner races, all of the double center pulleys, outer deck pulleys ,deck idler bars, tie rod assemblies, PTO brake assemblies, etc..... We've made samples of them just to say we did but until new/Nos/used supply runs out there just isn't enough demand to justify making them, because you are literally working for $4.00-$5.00 an hour.

Just walk away Renee. This politically correct language thingy is just like the Metric System. It will never take over, but it will always be irritating. I know I can always use a 1/2" socket on a 13mm nut. You know who they should shoot, the guy that invented Metric Allen Wrenches. Shouldn't they be like Metric Norman Wrenches??

I have been since I mentioned that the front axle would have to come off to fix a cut key on the tank shaft. I now plan on severing the front at the tape mark and .ake the end bolt on. That way I can service one tank at a time. Going back to the fact it's going to be badged as military, it has to be serviceable in the field. So far you can take this thing apart with a pair of pliers a screwdriver and a 7/16, 1/2 ,9/16 wrench.

Whilst this is an interesting thread, we aren't running the Indy 500 or the 24 Hrs. of Lemans here. It's running on dirt, hills, uneven rocks, bear poop ect. Give it a little pos camber, a little pos caster and a little toe. Just set each side the same.

Really appreciate all the input fellas! My 'axle building' skills don't go much beyond cutting a keyway in a piece of round stock ha, and probably would not be getting into making cables, ends, small pieces, etc... as @76c12091520h noted, that is a lot of work and very little ROI, and not much demand. The tie rods looks like a good starting point, as I could spend a Saturday morning here and whip up a couple dozen and have ready to go- those are something I would feel safe making and keeping in stock. @Bill D Steel deck spindle housings could probably be done. I'll tear one of my old ones apart and take a closer look as to how 'involved' it would be. Upon some quick research, I think I could offer cold rolled tie rods with 7/16 steel, greaseable ends for about 50 bucks shipped. Dont hold me to that just yet ha, but that's looking pretty promising. Also hope to be able to do one off "can you build this?" type stuff..... Stay tuned.

Larry you can get choke and throttle cables from psep.biz. Good prices. Good freight. Good quality parts. For the heim joints what I did was to order a quantity of four, 7/16 double male joints with all right hand thread. Trusted source for those would be McMaster Carr. You'll need fine thread jam nuts and I've probably got 40 of them. PM me your address and I'll send you a few. The reason I went with 7/16 instead of 3/8 is that most of the steering knuckle and steering rod end holes I've seen have been slightly egg-shaped or wallowed out. Using a 7/16 drill you can get a nice round even mounting hole and you get a connection that is substantially stronger than a stock 3/8 joint. @Greentored Scott actually just started a thread yesterday talking about making custom parts for people so he could hook you up with the rods themselves.

Heated my transaxle with electric heater for 2 hours then drained the old oil by jacking up the front and sucking the oil out of the dipstickl and fill hole with my oil vac thing. Then went for a ride with the idea that I would listen to see if the whining noise I had been hearing was any better but phone rang and I then went for a ride with my hearing protection on and forgot to listen to the whine... it was a delightful ride tho... Also, @Flat Thunder Channel, thems some hard earned workin hands. It’s pretty funny that you cut yourself opening a box in the kitchen lol (making light of it because you did).

Yesterday I repaired the bad wire connector at the regulator on my 520. Tried out my new ratcheting crimp connector tool. I got it for Christmas and this was my first attempt at using it. So far I'm impressed! One step closer to being back together! The bandaids are required from my attempt to help the wife in the kitchen. I unboxed her new knife set and attempted to remove my fingers in the process ..... All the more reason I should stay out of the kitchen! Thank you for the gift of you are reading this post. It was a very nice gesture, but not required. Your smiling face and companionship was all I really needed this year.
