I have been going through all my old hard drives and sd cards to get all my pictures in one place and safely backed up and found my pictures from when I first restored my Dad's OCC. I thought I would share. These were taken in 2006 and she still looks pretty dang good today! It does get to live indoors but we use it a lot. This tractor is serial #14,882 and I also own 14,883. Now there's a word that can mean two different things in the and besides trannie as in transmission. Over here a trannie can be a reference to a Ford Transit van or truck. I've had several conversations with members in the States about our use of the English language. Had to explain what a quid was last night. Slang for £1. I bet if I printed what the slang word is for a cigarette is over here, it would come up as ***.

Reproductions of those are on the way, 3d printed in METAL by Eston Hoffman, the same guy that is doing the small Whorse replicas. He's doing the larger hard to find one's first (like on a 701 etc), then the more common smaller ones.

Last year my brother bought the Powder Coating Gun from Eastwood and he just happened to have his old stove from his house at his shop, seemed like the proper thing to do would be coat some pieces. I tried to order powder from a few sources but shipping was like 2 weeks out, being the impatient guy I am I made a run to Harbor Freight and grabbed a container of black powder, unfortunately it's flat black but it was just an experiment. I have the the PTO off from my 312 so I decided to blast the rusty PTO switch bracket, PTO lever stop and battery hold down brackets. It was actually a bit easier than I thought but time will tell if it's coated properly and doesn't rust, since this tractor will live it's life out inside I don't see and issue. This was the result after 2 coats . Turned out decent though I wish it was semi gloss, the flat makes dirt stick to it. I'm using the oven rack with the pieces wired to it, time to make a cabinet that is tall enough that the oven rack will slide into to hold the parts while being coated and will have a filtered exhaust fan to suck up the excess powder. I was a fun project, just need the proper equipment to make it easier.

A few years back I made a few things for myself ( front bumper/weight hanger, snow/dozer blade skids rear axle tiller/plow hitch ect) and made a couple extra while I was at it, sold them to a couple members on here, I didn't profit $$$ wise but did profit from "experience" using the different machines and methods involved, wish I was still in a machine shop but I still have those skills should I return to that vocation, I still ponder the idea of a SmittyBuilt or Grizzly Mill/Lathe combo for small parts and other things I could make for myself or to help others when needed.

We have blueprints on hand (measured off of NOS parts) for almost all of the common/popular deck spindle housings and spindle shafts from the late 60's thru the mid 2000's decks, all of the PTO shafts and inner races, all of the double center pulleys, outer deck pulleys ,deck idler bars, tie rod assemblies, PTO brake assemblies, etc..... We've made samples of them just to say we did but until new/Nos/used supply runs out there just isn't enough demand to justify making them, because you are literally working for $4.00-$5.00 an hour.

This is probably the closest I can come to that shot...

I have been since I mentioned that the front axle would have to come off to fix a cut key on the tank shaft. I now plan on severing the front at the tape mark and .ake the end bolt on. That way I can service one tank at a time. Going back to the fact it's going to be badged as military, it has to be serviceable in the field. So far you can take this thing apart with a pair of pliers a screwdriver and a 7/16, 1/2 ,9/16 wrench.

While installing a new computer system for a bank in London I was explaining how to use some of the commands, in particular, how to reference file directories. In text it looked like this "c:root/documents/ledger/dailyjournal". I started by saying "See colon slash documents slash..." and had to stop because the room had cracked up laughing. Learned A LOT during that assignment!

Whilst this is an interesting thread, we aren't running the Indy 500 or the 24 Hrs. of Lemans here. It's running on dirt, hills, uneven rocks, bear poop ect. Give it a little pos camber, a little pos caster and a little toe. Just set each side the same.

Just a can muffler. I’m actually thinking about running the exhaust under the frame and thinking about one of those stack type mufflers. Sometime! Kinda like a Ford 8N.

Yesterday I repaired the bad wire connector at the regulator on my 520. Tried out my new ratcheting crimp connector tool. I got it for Christmas and this was my first attempt at using it. So far I'm impressed! One step closer to being back together! The bandaids are required from my attempt to help the wife in the kitchen. I unboxed her new knife set and attempted to remove my fingers in the process ..... All the more reason I should stay out of the kitchen! Thank you for the gift of you are reading this post. It was a very nice gesture, but not required. Your smiling face and companionship was all I really needed this year.
