@WHX24, @PeacemakerJack, @ebinmaine, @JCM, @shallowwatersailor, @pullstart, @Horse Newbie, @elcamino/wheelhorse, @Ed Kennell, and the rest of RS .... As I have mentioned before I would be getting snow removal tools for my Mahindra eMax 22, the whole package plow, blower and soft cab, I had purchased a Kubota set-up a couple years back with the intentions of modifying it to fit/work with it but after careful consideration decided just to sell it to help pay for the correct set-up built for Mahindra (by Berco in Canada), I ordered it the end of October and its showed at the dealer in PA right before Christmas and I just picked it up Friday, and today got the sub-frame (which both the plow and blower use so you can switch between with ease) assembled and mounting brackets installed on the tractor frame (the only thing I don't like is you have to switch these brackets back and forth between this and the mower deck mounts "not quite WH easy" but after a few times it may not be so bad ), then installed the sub-frame , snow plow and ran the hydraulic lines and plugged into the loader/sector valve. The cab and blower assembly will follow within the next few days/weeks. Pics and a little video of it in operation. 20210110_163214.mp4

These 2 first pics were yesterday after the new trail was cut in. As much as I like this tractor nothing like a 312-8 when it comes to fuel consumption. Every time I check the fuel gauge it always seems to be on E. The 312 on the other hand can mow the yard with a 48'' deck 3 times before a top off on the fuel. Get ready Eric when you finish that big Kohler twin project of yours.

The 1056 i picked up in East Texas is at the Barn at the farm. So each time I've been down deer hunting morning and evening I would work a little on tractor during my mid-day break. I haven't named my tractors in the past, but as I was sanding the seat pan to clear coat it I notice the 3 layers of read pain was quite patchwork. So @pullstart got me started and I'm calling this one Patches. This one will stay at the farm and be my trail/pasture rider. I can thank @Greentored for that idea. I use this thread to document all the work and fun I have with Patches. cleaned up kind of nice with just a bath. Here's the tractor and 10HP kohler nameplate. If the engine runs good, it might eventually get swapped with the Predator on the 1054. The Car, fuel Pump and Tank were quite dirty so I brought them home to clean them up. The carb was so filthy I soaked it in Carb cleaner, then bead blasted it. This is the first time I have glass bead blasted a carb. The fuel pump cleaned up nicely with just a soaking. I'll go reassemble it this afternoon. The cork gasket under the metal gas tank cap is compressed, dried out and cracked. Does anyone have a good method of making one of these, or a source to buy a new gasket?

We haven't seen snow in Central Texas for several years. I don't know what to do!!!! Almost Wishing it would build up enough to try plowing. It's big wet heavy flakes. My C-160 has weights,, chains and the grader blade on it. It wouldn't take much to put the plow on. Then the neighbors (and wife) would really know I'm crazy!

So whilst watching commercials on TV yesterday (which I might add were rudely interrupted on occasion by pictures of big guys running around a green field playing with a ball) I learned that the new Ford F-150 will self update.... That is such great news. Now my truck can be just my like my computer. When I go to start the truck it will tell me it is busy downloading updates, do not use. Then after watching the dash display work its way up to 100% downloaded it will say now installing the updates. Another period of watching the percentages increase and then ...maybe... just maybe I will be allowed to start it and drive off. Great progress

Installed a set of Zach's solid motor mounts. Just finished up so too late to start it to see how it feels, but the muffler doesn't hit the hood anymore when I engage the PTO! Wonder how much more 'solid' it's going to be, probably like a hard tail Harley! I realize that the ground bond jumper is not needed with the solids, but I wanted to keep it anyway. The one on the 'driver side' front is a BEAR to get to with the starter motor and exhaust in the way. Ratchet didn't fit, pair of open end wrenches, took forever to do this one!

Had to have some fun and try out the new tires today. Brought the 315's deck down to the shed for winter after 3 weeks of repeated soaking with pb, wd40, marvel, fluid film, whatever else i had on hand. Going to play around with this a little bit more before i swap the new pump in

Yes best listen to to peter lena ... he is the lubrication police around here. You will never have a squeaky wheel you listen to him. We suspect everything around his ranch is quiet as a church mouse and his door hinges have grease zerks!

Thought I would post a pic of a little project I have going with my 16 year old son. Cant say no to a kid who wants to turn a wrench! Got this free from my junk man friend and so far we have done the following: -general clean up -new carb -rattle can paint touch ups -pulley swap front pulley from 3” to 6” -swap transaxle pulley from 8 3/4 to 5” -make cheesy brake pedal to try to improve braking and separate that function from the “clutch” operation -bypass all safety wiring switches (start w brake on, seat sensor) -fit short length or 18” pvc pipe over each rear tire to take away all traction on asphalt. Just held in place by tire pressure. So, its a super dangerous piece of junk with no traction basically. Runs well over 20 on a straight away but the kids just use it to drift at 4-5 mph which is really dumb but I can say that riding it really takes me back to being a kid between the sheer danger of it at full speed and the ridiculousness of drifting in circles at low speed. So fun! Have to change transaxle pulley to something larger because its just plain dangerous at full throttle- rattles like a coffee can full of nuts lol. Would love to post a video of it in all its stupid glory. Kids were lined up to get a shot a breaking an arm yesterday

Started in welding again early this morning. Boy 70ft is a loooong ways 3in at a time. Hoping to get this tank done today.

I found some 18” pvc pipe and cut wheel covers for it and my son is drifting in the driveway with it like a maniac- they fit tight with the tires deflated and when inflated they are really tight. It’s actually amazingly fun haha! We swapped the pulley on the engine shaft for a 6” and the pulley on the transaxle for a 5” and the thing runs like 25 mph on a straightway. No brakes and the whole thing rattling like a coffee can of bolts makes it a trip back in time. Going to slow it down a bit but hope not to ruin the drift ability of it lol. ** nervous to post this here- not red and pretty far from what any tractor was ever meant for

Picked this little guy up super cheap and its a one owner machine. Been in continued use up until 5 years ago. Then just stored in the corner for the last five years. So i decided to pick it up and do a patina restoration and complete mechanical on it.

We barely get 1 to 2 inches a year here in Monroe, NC...and I NEED IT ! The only difference between men and boys is the price (and size) of their toys And with that I would have to have an enormous sand box !

I couldn't agree more 8NTRUCK! I think it's the Nissan Leaf that has this on it's trunk 'zero emission vehicle,' or some such thing, and I feel this is misleading. Where does everyone think the electricity for these comes from! As stated, unless the juice is from the sun, or water, it's likely coming from fossil fuel. I didn't know about the problems with the lithium batteries, so this is good to know. I'd like to know, if we all started driving electric vehicles if there would be enough electricity and electricity infrastructure to power them! In the meantime I think I'll stick to my own 'multi fuel'l vehicle! C-85

I believe that the rollers are there to assist with tight turns and to keep the tires off of the frame. There are 3 wooden rollers on the right side but only one on the left side. The rollers on the right are on a metal bar and as one was used up, the next one could be slid up to the front. I guess they didn't turn to the left very much back then.

Thank you guys! You are all so great. I had to help my wonderful husband settle his parents estate this morning. Then he went to farm & barn and bought me some new spark plugs and lots of bird seed to feed my birds. He also got me some gasket sealer for my tractors and a fish hook hat pin and some cashews. I love cashews almost as much as Jim. He must have spent alot on me. He is such a great guy and I am blessed to be his wife. Then he took me to my favorite Mexican restaurant and let me order anything I wanted. Isn't he a great guy!?!?! He got me a really nice nice birthday card and he even drew a sturgeon on it smoking a pipe! He even did all my chores for me this evening .... did I mention what a great catch he is! I am so lucky too to have Dan @Achtoas my friend. He let's me drive his tractors at shows and dances with me. He also helps me cook! He painted my tractor very pretty.

I wanted to take a minute to post what I'd done here. My welding setup is exterior only and snow is pretty much surrounding the bench. I decided to get some bushings and try JB Weld. Worst it could do is not work for long. The idler shaft was WELL worn into the sheet metal that supports it. The size difference was varying from 3 or 4 thousandths to about 9. Nice oblong hole. I bought a couple steel bushings 1/2" ID to 5/8" OD. Sanded the rust off the shaft til it went through then drilled the sheet metal to accept the bushings. I coated the outside of the bushings with JB and pushes them in to place. Cleaned up the excess and put the shaft in place so everything would dry straight. The pivot pin on the brake handle was also extremely loose. The pin was rusted to the point of being out of round and mushroomed at the end. Sooooo me and my Dremel had some fun. I found a copper bushing that was just a little too tight for both inside and outside diameters. Put a little grindstone on and made the pin as close to round as I could starting on the bench grinder to remove the biggest parts. I then put a chainsaw sharpener diamond bit in and did the same thing to the corresponding hole. Last thing was to cut a notch for the cotter pin. Install bushing... Voila!

RV antifreeze or rim guard will have corrosion inhibitors. I've had RV in my tires with no tubes with no issues

As much as we like to rewrite our history in this country, not every W-H model left the factory with a Kohler engine installed. Not so stupid to keep at least one example of the factory correct W-H history alive.

Something I forgot to mention, on the loader tractor I have the Vredesteins up front. Not a tri rib, but does "bulge" slightly in the center, size not all the tire is on the ground. But even with no weight on the front, just the weight of the diesel, it steers better in the snow than the tri's do. The ATV tires will go thru easily and many times will push the front, and still does better...
