17 pointsAs most of you know about 14 months ago I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. My cancer Dr at Hershey Medical Center said without treatment...3 months to a year. After three types of chemo and my sixth bone marrow draw, the Dr told me today there's NO signs of leukaemia. As I left, the infusion nurses were lined up in the hallway to see me ring The Bell. Again I want to thank all my friends here for the prayers and well wishes. It worked... Still have to go twice a week for blood tests and infusion until platelets and hemoglobin get back to normal. See you all at the next Big Show Jay

10 pointsHi all, 46 year old married father of 2 (16/13) into boating, drumming and all things mechanical. I am a building contractor but started as a carpenter for 15 years so familiar with getting my hands dirty. Been lusting after a red tractor (not just any red) for a while now and one jumped out and bit me today on Craigslist. Very happy that I saw that ad because I am the proud owner of a 310-8 in very nice shape. Spent the day brining it home, cleaning it up, changed fuel line, added filter, flushed tank, new battery and it started on the 3rd turn :) !!!! Mower deck hums along like new- I cant believe it really and I paid $350 which I think it a complete steal for this thing. You tell me though? Transmission makes a bit of metallic sound but functions as it should so will post a thread in the right place to discuss. Anyone know what year it is (the tractor lol- we all know its dec 68th 2020) from the tag? Anyway very happy to have found this place and promise to share pics of course. Thanks for having me- Ben

6 pointsThank you guys! You are all so great. I had to help my wonderful husband settle his parents estate this morning. Then he went to farm & barn and bought me some new spark plugs and lots of bird seed to feed my birds. He also got me some gasket sealer for my tractors and a fish hook hat pin and some cashews. I love cashews almost as much as Jim. He must have spent alot on me. He is such a great guy and I am blessed to be his wife. Then he took me to my favorite Mexican restaurant and let me order anything I wanted. Isn't he a great guy!?!?! He got me a really nice nice birthday card and he even drew a sturgeon on it smoking a pipe! He even did all my chores for me this evening .... did I mention what a great catch he is! I am so lucky too to have Dan @Achtoas my friend. He let's me drive his tractors at shows and dances with me. He also helps me cook! He painted my tractor very pretty.

6 pointsben, I think a couple of oil changes over a short period , would be most beneficial , is there a place near by to drive it ? found that to be the best helper to really stir things up and also warm up the oil before dumping it out.. make a point to use both hi and low ranges , change them often , spend time in reverse , change that shift boot. also put some time on the oil to drain and fresh oil , you should start to hear a difference as the crud gets cleaned out . picture the gear oil like a waterfall spraying all over the gear set , and cleaning things out. good luck with it , let us know , pete

5 pointsSo, I was out in the garage working on my Lawn Ranger all afternoon. I was supposed to be cleaning the garage, but we all know how that goes... I haven't decided a color yet for the Lawn Ranger. I was thinking maybe a black / magenta color scheme. I was going to do pink, but I'd rather do something a little less flashy than bubblegum colored lol. I had a can of semi-gloss black that I sprayed some parts with (narrowed tool box, fenders, seat, seat spring) and my back wheels are gloss black. I actually thought it looked really sharp, and was imagining a "stealth" type paint job, semi gloss or matte black like the F117 Stealth Fighter. Anyways, thought I'd throw the idea out and see if anybody has done this, or thinks this would be a cool experiment. I'll post some pics tomorrow, ran out of daylight to take decent pics, and I plan on doing more work tomorrow.

5 pointsI'm glad we got us some young guys on here that can make me laugh like you do. As a matter of fact I was thinking of you today when I was on Patti's 4 wheeler horsing around in the yard which has a layer of ice with 1'' of snow on it, great for power slides as long as your in 2 wheel drive. You would have been proud of me. Growing up on dirt bikes, snowmobiles and Big Block muscle cars you just never lose the urge to go sideways. By the way @pullstart Patti was gone out for the day.

5 pointsI think your C-141 looks great, nothing to be ashamed of. I thing the old C-series were the best Wheel Horses that were made. I have had mine for 44 years and still my favorite tractor some what modified. The before picture was new and I don't have one.

4 pointsHello All, new guy here hoping that someone can help me with the rear tire size needed for this Speedex / Pond FG that I am beginning to restore. The rear tires had completely disintegrated and were unreadable when I acquired this old girl. I'm hoping that someone here will know the correct tire size needed. I believe these are the original rims. Any help is much appreciated! This is my first tractor to attempt to restore so please go easy on me, lol.

4 pointsYes best listen to to peter lena ... he is the lubrication police around here. You will never have a squeaky wheel you listen to him. We suspect everything around his ranch is quiet as a church mouse and his door hinges have grease zerks!
-
4 pointsWow, that’s a steal for $350 ! You’ve come to the right place for anything Wheel Horse, this is the nicest group of people you’ll ever meet.

4 pointsSeems to me that you have a linkage or adjustment problem. Look under the seat at how far the cam is moving when you engage reverse. Then follow the linkage back to where the problem is. I have Matt's foot control on my 416-H and reverse works fine. I did find that you have to be very careful in properly assembling the linkage and all the other parts correctly. Cam in neutral position Cam in reverse position Cam in forward position

4 pointsNot really touched me to be honest. But I didnt go for a test as they advised only to go if I had symptoms. They did say there are plenty of cases where one spouse got it and the other didn't. Sandra got off pretty lightly but to be fair she is a tough one and very rarely moans about feeling ill. Just the fact we could not go outdoors was a big deal, really felt locked in. But its for the greater good .
