15 pointsAs most of you know about 14 months ago I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. My cancer Dr at Hershey Medical Center said without treatment...3 months to a year. After three types of chemo and my sixth bone marrow draw, the Dr told me today there's NO signs of leukaemia. As I left, the infusion nurses were lined up in the hallway to see me ring The Bell. Again I want to thank all my friends here for the prayers and well wishes. It worked... Still have to go twice a week for blood tests and infusion until platelets and hemoglobin get back to normal. See you all at the next Big Show Jay

12 pointsRaided the scrap at work, plugged in the welder and wrapped up the blade yesterday. Best of all it works! Hope I get to shake it down today- weatherman still says snow here, but right now its 33 and sleet. Minor details and a quick shot of paint come after testing.

8 pointsHello All, new guy here hoping that someone can help me with the rear tire size needed for this Speedex / Pond FG that I am beginning to restore. The rear tires had completely disintegrated and were unreadable when I acquired this old girl. I'm hoping that someone here will know the correct tire size needed. I believe these are the original rims. Any help is much appreciated! This is my first tractor to attempt to restore so please go easy on me, lol.

8 pointsYeah, I'm still learning some noob lessons haha- that 654 trail bomber I sold had a square pan seat on it, and worse yet I am QUITE sure they were the original front rims that would've been correct for my 701- and they weren't rotted out! As for the deal WE made- I'm happy to see a round pan on Hoss and a square pan where it belongs- on a 701! With the mention of hens teeth, I must request access to your cooler for a cold beverage or two one day when we get a chance to meet Your old round pan got blasted, primed and shot with a rattle can of Wimbledon white yesterday- haven't even bolted it in place yet.

7 points(Moderators feel free to relocate if necessary) There has been some discussion here about balancing crankshafts, and kinda forgot about this video. Yes this is V8 stuff but the basics are the same, and it went over very well online. Dave/USA perf. is the guy I do all the crank work for as a side job. Thought some of you tech heads might enjoy!

7 pointsUpdate on Scottie.... Here is what has been going on since our last update in June. This summer Lowell and I took Scottie and two friends to Wisconsin Dells for a mini vacation before school started. During this mini vacation Scottie was able to be a somewhat normal teenage boy. We found out that Scottie and his buddies liked to go racing in the go-karts. When we came back school started for Scottie and he started his junior year in high school as a distance learner. After long talks and meetings with the school and Scottie, it was decided that Scottie would start school with a typical course load and have a 504 in place if he needs it. Unfortunately, we have had to use the 504 at times when he has difficult nights sleeping and bladder spasms. Scottie has done all of his assignments by the due dates and for the first quarter he was on the High Honor Roll (this is the A Honor Roll). In addition to being on the A honor roll Scottie was also the Medford Tiger for the month of November. Scottie was also able to go to some of the home football games and be on the football field with his team. This fall Lowell, Travis and Scottie attended the Plow days in Wisconsin and he had a good time. Since Thanksgiving, Scottie's suprapubic catheter was leaking and he was leaking from his penis tip. Called and spoke with his surgeon and he wanted us to monitor his situation. We did do just that and we ended up scheduling surgery on January 5, 2021. So on Tuesday, Scottie and I headed back to St. Mary's Hospital to have yet another surgery. The plan was to replace the suprapubic catheter and to scope Scottie's urethra to see if there would be any new scar tissue. The surgeon came in and talked to Scottie about the option to remove the suprapubic catheter if everything is fine. Scottie opted to keep the suprapubic catheter in as a back up in case something goes wrong. Scottie came back from surgery and the doctor came and talk to both Scottie and I. What we found out was this, Scottie has no new scar tissue in the urethra. The surgeon replaced the suprapubic catheter as Scottie requested. Our new goal is this...in 3 months or sooner depending on if the catheter falls out on its own, Scottie will no longer have the suprapubic catheter. Scottie is having a difficult time with this because he is scared that he will no longer have a back up if he can not pee normally. Lowell and I are asking for continued prayers during this transitioning time for our family.

6 pointsAt our place right now Trina has two tractors and I have two. The only one at this point in time that has tri ribs on the front and AGS in the back is her Pony tractor which is the bright red one. That particular tractor is the lightest in the fleet by a long shot. It's a short frame, three-speed, with an aluminum engine. Even though it's that light traction and steering is pretty good. I am going to be adding Colossus to the fleet when it's done. Hopefully in the next three or four months. That will have a much larger set of course but they will be tri rib in the front and AGS in the back. All four are already fluid filled with Rimguard. Here's our lineup except for the one on the far left which belongs to @OldWorkHorse Steve.

6 points.........And for those of you who prefer to walk UNDER your tractor instead of around it we've got this beauty. It features an optional grass cutting deck with a 27" mowing height.

5 pointsI believe section 6 article 4 dash 9 in the Red Square Forum guidelines states “One may not start a new thread on the acquisition of a tractor without posting pictures of said tractor, especially if ones excuse is a NAP!!” 😂

5 pointsI just happen to like the looks of them on my 854, in warmer weather they are good, when the driveway is slick with ice and packed down snow they are about worthless trying to make it back up the hill of the driveway
-
5 pointsHaving tri ribs on hard ground is like adding power steering to your tractor. With only a small rib touching the ground they steer very easily. In soft ground they dig in and make steering control much easier.

5 pointsDear Lord, you have laid your healing hand on Scott and the miraculous recovery he is making is a testament to your love for us. Please continue to be with the physicians who are attending to his needs and Scott’s family as they see him recover. I ask these things in the name of your Son and my Savior, Jesus Christ. All glory and honor belong to you. Amen.

4 pointsScrolling through the wormhole we all know as YouTube the other day and this popped up I know a lot of us have some serious challenges trying to get a drill bit just right and this looked like a great explanation. I've done some bit sharpening and had some mixed successes and failures in the past. Thought I'd share this method.

4 pointsBuyed by an oops a Predator Engine with 9 HP. While i want to move the side, i clicked into buy and the quickpurchase option does the rest.. 😂 ok, no problem, there is never a reason why not keep that Engine.. better to have than to need 😎 Yesterday it was delivered, the only dis was it was in a wrong Color. So i decide today to begin a rework for a usable spare purposes. i like to have it as spare for my Horse and a yellow Engine is absolute no option. so let‘s disassemble it.. sanding it a bit with grinding fleece and remove unwanted Stickers.. after that i painted it in the right Color Scheme. And do a few modifications, Than fill up Oil, doublecheck all things, they be required and remount it The Exhaust will be changed later because of lack of Material. A testrun show‘s it fires right up and run‘s smooth in idle. Than i do a burn in test and let it run a full Tank in mixed speeds. did not yet take a decision for a Swap, but i have it in spare just in case....😎

4 pointsI love my AGs!..... in the summer.... I don't have loaded tires or any added weight besides myself and these are not good at all in snow so far. Even a few inches. Now that being said with a small ton of weight might be somewhat better or if you dnt plan to use in snow?

4 pointsAs of 2:00 PM, I had gotten up early with the trailer hitched to the Z71 and made my way to @Ed Kennell's Pee Aaa, Mount Pleasant Mills to be exact, (across 4 state lines twice) to wrangle my new snow removal "weapons" and made it all the way back home and unhitched, ready to check the back of my eyelids for cracks , right about 500+ miles round trip, Jerry Reid was stuck in my head singing his best known movie song... .

4 pointsI will take the liberty to digress away from the original topic and add my less than humble opinion on Cost Reductions. I worked 14 years for a Tier 1 Automotive OEM, and cost reducing was a way of life. We each had a personal annual goal to achieve that would be brought up during annual performance reviews. I always shied away from buying a car during its first model year of the production run. I now realize that most if not all of the "Big 3" require suppliers to reduce the cost of what finished part they supply per year for the duration of the contract (sometimes up to 10%!!) All that is negotiated into the contract. I have seen a component part get cost reduced by as little as 1/10th of a penny - but at a million or more of that part per year it adds up. Now I feel better .......... Bill
