As most of you know, Wheel Horse also had a factory in Belgium, the only Wheel Horse factory outside the US. The factory called Amnor N.V. is located in Oevel. Oevel is a Small submunicipality of Westerlo, located in the Flemish speaking part of Belgium. Next to a very important highway, it has a central location in Belgium, but also in Europe Production of Wheel Horse ran at this site from the spring of 1969 up to 1991 The factory now, is the headquarters for Toro Europe, and nothing no longer gets made at this rather small building. Thanks to @wh1257 We have some old pics of the factory in its full glory And how it looks these days Info about the factory The adress of the factory: Nijverheidsstraat 5, 2260 Westerlo Belgium Phone number: +3214562960 If you have any pics, please send them, so we can complete this post! Thanks! More forums about Belgium :

I hope to make "It's my thing" my archival record. My first, It's my thing, "I do what I wanna do" is about my wheel standing Wheel Horse, this is about my C-81. Stock machines are just NOT my thing, I have to modify them to my pleasing, to be the apple of my eye, eye candy, or beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In other words, please take no offense in what I choose to do to my property. When I submit more "It's my thing" you know what to expect. First photo is when it came home in stock condition. 2nd photo I removed the wrap around gas tank and added the underseat box and flip seat pan. 3rd photo atv 25x10-12 tires and raised seat pan. 4th is working mode. 5th added a 3/8 thick rubber scrapper between blade and cutting edge. Photos 6&7 light bar and back rest, a rear hanger to carry 60 pounds and the front of the hood is chopped 2 inches for a much improved profile. Somewhere between photos I sold the complete engine, PTO and wiring, removed PTO lever and dropped in a Predator

Figure I better post pics to prove to myself I actually clean my chop once in a while! It's not often you can see this much floor or bench space!

We had a delayed Christmas with our two daughters yesterday. We all agreed that it had to be safe so it was outside around a campfire with our masks on. One of our grandsons, Koda, is 11 years old and quite creative in building things but, like so many kids these days, spends too much time playing video games. One of the things we got him was this model engine that he would have to build. I figured it would be a bit of a challenge for him and something educational. Last night, about 4 hours after they left he sends this video. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=276546 His comment was "I need something more challenging now". I told my wife that I'm taking that as a challenge. His birthday comes up in a couple months and I gotta figure out something. Unfortunately the sound didn't load. It's pretty cool hearing it operate.

i think it's time for a real motor. find an old small Briggs 2-3 hp flathead engine and completely take it apart. then he can put that together and get it to run

I got my order from @GlenPettit. I ordered the dust/hub cap covers for the 857 Special Edition. He was kind enough to send a red and a black set plus a very nice key chain !! Thank you so much Glen. I used the black set on the wheels and the red ones on the front axle. You know where the key chain went. I think it looks great. I cant wait until spring to clean and paint the front axle. Thank you again @GlenPettit !!

Trina and I did some more work to her 867 Pigpen today. I got the switch for the lights in the dash along the forward part of the harness. We removed the headlamp bucket and Trina cleaned it up and painted it bright copper. Looks awesome. I fabbed up the brackets for the front weight. She painted them and we put the weight on. The weight is either 40 or 45 pounds. After installing that and chains on the front tires it made a HUGE difference in steering.

Truth be told fellas I'm on the fence about customs. Gotta know tho the MN boys got me brainwashed on orginal. There is just something about a tractor that holds it orginal paint, patina and hardware but then ther is just something about a well done custom. Look at Dan's rat rod or one of the Bear's or Bob Rock's customs. All of my restos are considered customs as quite sure they didn't come from the factory with all stainless hardware, chrome lug nuts and Racin Bob's patented high speed pullies. Then again the guy's that resto one like one of C-series Don's to dealer show room condition is fantastic. Long story short here Giddy... nice to see you are making your customs work yet. Old saying guy ...if ya got an itch.... scratch it!!! I got talked bullied into this custom so might be my only non worker....NOT .... I used it to haul some camp fire wood last summer when she wasn't lookin. Figured Dan went to all that trouble to make a 3rd gear hitch pin why not see if it works??? No pics of this dastardly deed so no evidence she can admonish me for! All said and done Giddy just make sure yer "customs" are tastefully done and not those hacked up cobbled things who never gets them done cause he's flying around the world begging for the covids like this dude in Michigan we all know too well whose name shall not be mentioned. A pic of Giddy, Dan, Jack's boy Caleb and me after we helped him mafia a tractor to get it in his trailer for a possible custom?!?!. Circa 2018 BS.

From seat to tire on the left hand side there's about 4" and on the right hand side there's about 5. The seat is around 20 or 21 inches across so if I put up side and back supports just to keep my body in place this will work out fantastic.

Adjusted the front blade linkage to accommodate higher blade height when blade is up. When I installed Lowell’s new hitch with the rear bracket it changed the height of the rear of the blade. So I needed to change the middle connection. I used left overs from the new hitch! The blade is not correct for my tractor, but PO did good job fabricating it and it works great!!!

I watch quit a lot of youtube, channels like Kevin Alberts, Ebinmain . but surely other big channels, But I never see anybody using Zinc spray, do you guys have this in the US. I use it all the time, and it's the best product against rust that we can get here by a long shot. It's spraying a thick layer of zinc, sometimes it has alloy in it too. Galvanizing with a can. never ever have rust seen coming true, and i don't always sand properly. It's also very scratch resistance. I always paint the inside of my rims with this stuff.

Put a little something together today: completely blasted, epoxy primed, baked on urethane finish, spray on bedliner (like you would find on a new truck, not a thick, rubbery type), powder coated all the brackets and lift carriage pieces , rebuilt all the spindle assemblies with new bearings, new blades, wheels, rollers, oem belt, correct decals, every piece of hardware was replaced . As close to new old stock as it's gonna get.

I'm looking at your picture. The wire end looks correct for the wire you have pictured. You are supposed to fold the bare wire back over the rubber insulation. Then put the non crimp side of the connector over the bare wire and insulation and crimp the opposite side ( The open end ) to the wire insulation. If you have a Napa near by I can give you part numbers. These pics here I am crimping on a coil terminal but the plug end is the same. Silver spark plug connector is Napa 727006 Boot is 727402

hey yap "do it to it" I like it, creative man! It is like those what I call "bondo tractors" you know the ones that are skim coated, blocked sanded and painted to better than new. I like looking at them but I prefer a few wrinkles here and there. I like the old rusty ones too. But just as soon take a clean looking mechanically sound machine. Maybe with a shine of red. That can do work. Stock or not.

I started throwing things out last year. Kind of fun going through boxes of stuff and finding things that you forgot you had. Those are the things to through out. Just cleaned out the garage this fall. Junked a lot of metal junk, but I did keep ferrous electrodes for electrolysis. Got my work benches cleaned of, tractor hoods are cleaned off, I can walk through now and even carry things through the garage. If it does not move in 2 years, it's gone...that if for the garage. In the house is 1 year. Paint!!! I was keeping cans of paint, and it was dried up. Enough room for 3 or 4 K-181's. Next space is the attic above the garage in the Spring. Anybody want a Croque set.?? I was thinking one of the balls would make a unique shifter knob. We could play polo with the horses at the show. See, it's easy to find excuses to keep stuff.

If seen some of you guys having crazy cool paintboots, well i got me one too, kinda I introduce to you ..... My second shower on the level ground hahaha It's the only room that i can completely seal off, an i have a fan in the wall, sucking all the air out, and so have a small vacuum, a high pressure zone would be better but,Then i would get more gasses in to the house. and now it's pretty dust free.

Right there with you man. We don't have any bone stock horses here either...

I think I can safely say that 10W30 is not going to stop an oil leak and 30W should be the correct oil for your location. The best thing to do is find the leaks and fix them. I would not add anything to the oil either...like STP. Is it a large leak, or a small leak. A little oil on the floor can look like a big leak, when it really is not. Did you recently change the oil and spill a little of it. I am not familiar with Onans. Perhaps someone here has an idea where they usually leak and what to look for.

Looking good!!! The little known “twister corollary” permits use of said BFH’s whilst providing highly entertaining visuals: Left hand blue, right leg yellow...right hand on BFF... now swing!!!

Good ideas. I think his Mom prefers 4 wheels so I'm thinking an old school style go cart. Either a basket case or I make it a basket case. I really like the Wheel Horse thing too.

I built a V-8 from a kit when a youngster. Was quite the elaborate model with working distributer & sparkplugs (lights) and all. Was all clear and could see the inner workings. Good way to get kids interested in mechanicals these days. Amazon.com : Engine Kits

Well I have it on my principal plow tractor and they are the original 50+ year old tires, and they are the narrower 5.50 tires. Let all the air out adjusted the length till I couldn't get it on the tire went back up a half link and reinflate I run about 20. Hasn't moved in 3-4 years now. (She is on permanent snow duty once you get yours tight I would just swap the front tires if I was running it year round) EDIT: Just realized one of the pictures was from 2015 so the chains have been on 5 years....

Eric, there is a joke in there somewhere. Aged and stiff indeed

Ever change one that's been 'slimed' with that evil green 5h1t? OMG does that stuff SMELL! The most disgusting thing I've ever smelt. So bad it made me puke in my mouth a little bit. And the RUST! In addition to that, the slime has fibers in it. When I got tne bead broken I stepped back because I thought there was a rusty dead rabbit carcass inside the tire! Friends tell their friends to NEVER EVER use that crap.

Installed an hour meter and re-wrapped the steering wheel cover. I used this one after getting a cheaper piece of junk that I returned. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002IZDIU4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Don't be tempted to cheap out and get one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MDQJ9WB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 That crappy plastic bracket that is supposed to hold it to the panel will not. It kept popping off no matter what I tried. (short of gluing it into the panel) and the black bezel didn't match the ammeter. The wheel wrap was from my old Scirocco YEARS ago. I think the black dacron cord looks MUCH better than that ratty white crap I had on there.

Here we go again! 657 picked up 30 minutes away. Cane with a super solid spare deck and parts, another pair of skinny rear rims and tires, and he even saved the chunk of hood he cut out to swap the OHV engine into it. The guy grew up 15 minutes from where I did in upstate NY, here we meet 700 miles away, and I end up with a hometown tractor! Guys father bought it new. My buddy’s dad ran a big wheel horse dealership in the same area, I’m researching to see if it came from there.

Engine broken down and cleaned up, new gaskets in the mail, and got to learn how to weld aluminum or find a new starter generator but other then that engine is in great shape. Cant wait to get this whole thing cleaned up so can start putting it together. Next on the list is to flush the milkshake out of the transmission.

520 wouldn't start back up after shutting down..... screw it Packers are playing . Prolly just out of gas .. will deal with it tomorrow. Finnished up a couple of inches with @dclarke's single. Just happy to get any kind of seat time moving sno and burn old gas. Deuce was boss tho @WVHillbilly520H built up a couple of drifts just to stuff in in and hear the Onan crank! Sorry Denny I appreciate the work you got in this tractor but the seat switch has gotta go! She's a real slug without the v bar chains but ain't no way I can run them on asphalt. Rubber chains on order.
