Why? i got a Christmas gift in the Right Colors. and a little model Tractor but while there was no Wheelhorse available here, Santa surprises me with a Model of an old Deutz.

Mrs Santa Rules got me this awesome fleeced blanket for my birthday too. So now, finally... I have a W-H tractor in the house!

I have been trimming trees and burning brush the last couple of days, it's been over 50degs and just beautiful out!! Using grandpa's fire poker to stir fire has me sentimental today. Just the thought of my hands using it and knowing that five generations of Littrells have had their hands on it is awesome! Six when my grandkids are old enough!

regularly drive my horses , two set up with 42" plow blades , and one waiting for possible 36-42 blower installation, probably put a couple of miles on it , using all gears and hi / lo range , give it a chance to get hot and heat things up , gear oil is fresh , and everything was spot on. if there is a substantial snow coming I will probably put the blower on it . all the little improvements have added up to solid starting and running. Sunday low traffic flow made cul de sac drive up the road nice. my 82 frakenhorse , aka as C-85 , with 12 magnum swap , has been very solid in its upgrade and transition . just a good day for a drive , pete

Back in September I had some trees fall down, some cut, and I had some heavy trunk pieces to move. I got them loaded, but it was a strain. Recently I revised my WH's hitch to include a 6" long 2x2 inside tube receiver and I added a 2" hitch ball on top of it. It's braced well. Looking around on line, I found & ordered a MAXX TOW # 70238 1000 lb hitch secured hydraulic crane to use with my pickups. It is rated 1000, 750, 500 pounds. I made some strengthening additions. I also had a Harbor Freight 1 ton shop crane rated for 1 ton, 3/4 ton, 1/2 ton, & 1/4 ton... I bought on a super saver deal a few years back, but as you know those casters sink in the yard, so I added larger 10" OD x 2" wide rubber tired cast steel wheels on a 1" OD steel axle made from a old used long F-150 drag link, tough steel there. I also added a 2x2x1/4 wall tube tongue to the shop crane that is removable with a pin, receiver is welded into the crane back end. It was cold & wet, here, so since the WH was in the former "trike room" I built to house a trike, I played with my two cranes. The MT hitch crane is intended for F-150 height hitches, the WH's is lower so I'll need to extend or make two longer lower strut braces. The HF crane, I'll make a weight shelf or holder tray to straddle the yellow tongue to help the WH hold it down, plus the two 52" long legs are still there. Either way, I will be able to put 500 pounds in the bed of a truck with no strain on me back I think. In my playing today, I found the WH will handle either at least up to that. Of course, I'd not try to tow a lifted load on the HF crane, but it would be great for pulling straight up, especially if one wrapped a HD chain around the beam close to the hydraulic jack. Monday maybe I start on my next additions, I'm gonna build 2x2 hitch winch mounts. I have a 3500 electric and a 2500 hand wind winch which are unused.

Hello, I had never heard of Wheel Horse until October when I saw an RJ58 on eBay. I have a 3.5 year old that loves tractors, so on October 20th I purchased the tractor for Santa Clause to deliver. I was not able to pick it up until October 30th because I had to drive 3.5 hours one way to Fastenal in Enterprise, AL. I wasn't able to study the tractor until November 1st because I had damage from hurricane Zeta. What I found was a total piece of junk that the seller lied about, misrepresented, or failed to mention certain things wrong. I have attached pictures of before and after. It took 5 weeks to get the tractor in working order and presentable. I will continue to look for the correct parts and re-do the tractor when I have all of the parts.

Wife got me a new service cart, 5 new pairs of Knipex (3 aren't here yet), and my parents got me a metal Wheel Horse sign

Thanks, wallfish! I did buy a lift cable from them. I should probably post detailed pictures of the tractor and a list of things I know that are incorrect. Here are a few more until I can take better pictures.

More progress. 2 110 lb drums on there just resting there for now. Need to weld on some studs to bolt them down to. Looking good. Think i may have a small trans leak again but could be residual. Luckily i still have the trans pullstart sent me sitting in its crate waiting to be used

This just came up in my mind, When i was restoring some WH rims. I had rust in the inside of my rims, asking myself: How? it's sealed with the tire. And then i realized how: no water separator on the previous owner's compressor, i monthly open the tab on my compressor, and some rust water always comes out. Just wanted to share this. I am grabbing a water separator for my compressor tomorrow.

Actually, was kinda fun... ...even labeled the drawers to help the Mrs Rules when I send her to retrieve me a tool. 🧭

Probably just needs the carbon removed.

Just like the bottom of mower decks painting the inside of rims with whatever color gloss rust oleum in can, brush it on. It's a good way to use up small portions of paint or odd colors.

We are here at Mom in Law‘s House for Christmas, so we are about 600Km far from my Shed. That was the only reason to stay in Living room..😂 Edit - but i like @Digger 66 suggestions. 👍

I tried both of these brands and the Harbor Freight stuff went on much smoother. I would add a little sand to both if you go that way. I like using this stuff under seat pans and running boards too, seems to take pressure washing better. The best non slip strips came from McMaster Carr. 24" long, no yellow line and stick real good.

Another good reason to have that 14mm tap on hand is that a lot of oxygen sensors use that same thread. Handy to have the tap at hand if / when you need to change out an o2 sensor in your car.

Finished cleaning the overspray from the front tires and the rear wheel bolts for the 854. Front tires look absolutely like new, and whoever did the crappy rattle can paint job did me a huge favor because there was some perfectly preserved bolts under that cheap paint!

Got my freshly powder coated wheels put on the 520 H today...new bearings and seals on front, two new front tires.

Pulled the head on a non-running K301 I picked up a couple years ago. Big reveal always wonder what the piston will be stamped. STD .010 OK .030 parts pile...Had to clean off some carbon for the big reveal .003 cylinder wall looks good. This one will get stripped down and off to the machine shop for bore and grind...

Figure I better post pics to prove to myself I actually clean my chop once in a while! It's not often you can see this much floor or bench space!

Installed an hour meter and re-wrapped the steering wheel cover. It kept popping off no matter what I tried. (short of gluing it into the panel) and the black bezel didn't match the ammeter. The wheel wrap was from my old Scirocco YEARS ago. I think the black dacron cord looks MUCH better than that ratty white crap I had on there.

I have a similar plan with my 414-8...snowblower is not on it but I can do so if I see a big snowfall coming. My 48" plow is on the Electra 12 horse, ready to go. We haven't had a significant snowfall yet here in NW Ohio and last year the biggest snow of 5 inches was in April. But we all know we are approaching prime time snow season. Need to get my ice fishing gear out too as we are starting to see lakes and ponds icing over finally.

I just came in from a Winter/ Fall/ work/trail ride but with no pics, does that count. Trails on the house side were leaves pine needles and still snow on the sides of the trails from plowing and the back side of property were still in their winter mode with a slight covering of the white stuff. Did not chance crossing the brook because of the ice covering and may have not been easy going over or coming back. Took down some small hardwood leaners from the storm/branches etc with the chainsaw. Trail maintenance continues. Nice reflection Mike.

That water seperator you show will only seperate water from your air hose,which is a good thing.But,you've got to open the drain on the bottom of the tank to blow out the big amount of water.I use my compressors every day and drain the water out every day.You would not believe how much rusty water I get out daily.As far as rust on the inside of the rims.When I restore a rim.I sandblast the entire rim.Paint the inside with POR-15 paint.Rattle can prime both sides of the rim.Finish up with either Eastwood argent paint or International Harverster white,depending which model Horse I'm working on.Last thing is a new rubber pop in valve stem if I'm using tubeless tires.The combination of nice shiny paint and spraying the tire bead with furniture polish makes the tire a lot easier to mount.

New spark plug and she started right up. Got a champion h10c and a autolite 216 if anyone is wondering for the k301s. Also just test fit the loader subframe/weight bracket. I think it looks pretty good. Just need to bolt it to the rear end, bolt it to the frame, and bolt it to the loader cross member.

Got out for a short ride today....the stream made for a good pic taking spot. Check out that reflection

A bit more on the coal forge. If I have to bend steel for the screw drive this will do it. At least it will save my oxy/acet.

This thread is reinforcing the thoughts I've had of attachifying the monster walk behind snowblower to the front of a Wheelhorse. As it sits it's a 13HP 38" cut. I could easily make it a 50" cut with side wings. Plenty of power. But for no good reason whatsoever.....

...and the chains don't even spill his coffee ! That's pretty dang ingenious . I originally thought hmmmmm , why doesn't he just run the hydro off of the 350 under the hood . Then seeing him idle along in granny gear , the Detroit made sense even though it's about a thousand times overkill . Go BIG or go HOME !

To put a number on 8ntruck's comment, the x-sectional area of a 1/4 hose is a bit less than half that of the 3/8 hose, so at the same flow volume the velocity in the 3/8 hose will be less than half of the 1/4 hose. If you know the pump output there's a little chart on Parker Hannifin's blog that tells what size to use based on their maximum recommended flow velocity.
