11 pointsIn the Old Norse: Gleðileg Jól! Loosely pronounced "gled'leg yole" Modern english translation is Glad Yule. It's an acknowledgement of the beginning of winter or winter solstice. Although BBT and I follow no religion we do live the more positive side of all ideologies. Be kind. Do the right thing. Enjoy life. Don't be a jerk. We're both of predominantly northern European descent and the ancients of the area celebrated the seasons. The Winter Solstice was/is a very important one. The night was the longest of the year and folks needed to protect each other from the local night time Nasties, both human and otherwise. More importantly the winter solstice is the beginning of a new solar year and a rebirth of sorts of the sun. People would gather together to celebrate with friends and family. Eat, drink, dance and set by the fire. Some cultures passed gifts. (Sound familiar?) No matter what Belief System you all follow, have a wonderful, happy, productive day and be safe! 8 pointsI’d also like to say Merry Christmas to all the great people on this forum. I’ve never been part of a group that have been so helpful, understanding, and not quick to judge others for their lack of understanding or ability. You folks have helped me out immensely many times with my little herd of wheel horses. I hope you all enjoy your day. Craig

8 pointsJust now the lights were blinking, could be a long day or two . Hopefully the power will stay on, wind supposed to blow 55 mph plus today and heavy rain, maybe some pics of that brook later on if it's safe to go out back. Have a great day all.

6 pointsMerry Christmas everyone! I woke up today to the sight of the 520LXI I’ve had my eyes on for years. I had spoken with the owner last month and my father picked it up for my gift! Only issue is the engine may be seized but that’s ok I can fix it..

5 pointsHappy Birthday Jesus—thank you for bringing us the greatest gift! Its about time to get a collaborative breakfast going with the family, then some time for gifts, and reading the Christmas story. I imagine following that, we will be playing with toys, eating, making puzzles, eating, assembling things to use, eating, laughing, eating, singing and well you get the picture!😂🎄

4 pointsReusing rings is not a practice that I encourage. At 3hrs your rings should have have already started to seat & you will never get them back into the exact position that they were in. If it were mine, I would run a ball hone through the cylinder for a light scuff & use new rings.

4 pointsTrina gets the parts ready to spray in the basement then brings them outside for a few to spray. Back into basement to dry. Short timing window at lower temps but does work.

3 pointsYes, the bulb style worked well. This is a picture of the plunger style I wish I installed. Amazon has several for sale between $15. to $25. It would have made for a neat factor looking installation.

3 pointsBase/clear is pretty much the standard these days for sure, but this is a single stage urethane. Basically just like a spray can of enamel but lays on heavier and holds up better. Base/clear doesn’t hide minor flaws as well, and being a tractor, it has a few. The goal this time around is a ‘clean machine’ versus ‘wow’ as it gets used on a regular basis. Spray can jobs can look great (heck, all the chassis and small parts on this one got the spray can job) but don’t fear a 50-60.00 harbor freight paint gun and some plastic sheets hung up in the garage. If you can make a spray can job look good, a paint gun job will be a breeze for ya!
