12 pointsHay y'all racing and camping starts with the C-141 and the Powerstotke!.. and my newly built yard cart for hauling grandkids 😀

12 pointsTeaching myself vinyl seat repair, cut a few patch panels and glued them on the inside. The small tears you can't see anymore, the big hole is what it is. Not perfect but better than duct tape. Hopefully stuff some foam later tonight

10 pointsJust added a 1972 Commando 800 kohler 8 hp to the herd it's a little rough around the edges motor runs transmission stuck in gear. Looks like a project for the winter.

8 pointsSooo... I like to keep busy with "stuff". Being a bit of a pack rat makes sure I have lots of stuff! So, I was looking at my stuff and thought "I should DO something with all this stuff" So,here it is. The only things I didn't already have were the fuel lines, filter, tank grommet, and a relay for running a Magneto ignition on a battery ignition harness. which BTW was much easier than when I swapped a whole wiring harness for the same end result! I did have to get a new bowl for the carb, seems like the PO must have left water in it and it literally rusted through. never seen one that bad. got that sorted out and it fired instantly with baseline settings Drove it around and everything felt great But... I already have dedicated machines for doing the chores (mow, plow, snowblow). All my machines are workers except my Panzer. that machine is sweet, just too cramped for my size. lol At least the collection of parts are all in one place now! Haven't given it a name yet, thinking "Mongo" maybe with that Magnum in it

7 pointsRemember this stuff? Finally rained here the past two days. Noted this thing has been sitting in the driveway for many weeks since was last touched. Product appears to be working well. Wipe on, wipe off... Daniel-son! 💪💪
-
6 pointswhat to do with it..... Looks Good, Just send it to me so it doesn't sit idle in your shed.

5 pointsFirst dirt track race I ever went to (sprint cars) I got in the stands and most of the spectators were wearing goggles. WTF I thought... quickly found out why!
-
5 pointsI don't see any issues at all, I used marine grade vinyl patch behind it, marine sealer/glue which is strong and flexible, than used some black vinyl repair filler from amazon

5 pointsSome of the girls’ friends from the homeschool academy (who also bought that GT-14 a while back) are coming over to do some hangin’ out before session starts soon. We better get ready!
-
5 pointsStop messing around! First suck down a couple of mixers so is you can see strait. Grab a 1/4" drill bit, a drill and drill that little PITA out. If your aim is true on the hole you will be able to run a 5/16" tap through the hole to clean the threads back out to the correct size. This is how I would handle the sitch.

4 pointsFirst time I saw a dirt track race I was about seven or eight years old. The New York State Fairgrounds had a one mile dirt track and I snuck away from my parents and went to the track to watch the race during the fair. I climbed up the guard rail and sat right on top of it. First time the cars came by I had a face full of dirt and an ear to ear smile!

4 pointsI'll put in a vote for "Mongo". With the rugged look & nothing can get in my way attitude there seems to be a slight resemblance.

4 pointsAgreed, Plan is to shim a bearing collar on it and pull it off... somehow.... ain't got that far yet... one battle at a time to win the war! But yeah these rests are cast and yes you know how cast breaks! Finding out this style, which is my favorite, are getting hard to find. Dan @Achto says he has an extra but doesn't know if his boot is on his left or right foot! May have to drill the hoobie hole larger and eventually re-tap to 3/8-16. Original these foot rests have 5/16 hoobies. Won't be correct but whose gonna complain! Not too bad 20 for the ac and 10 for the O2 & my company pays for it!

4 pointsIf you look on my 857, it's front lower pulley on the mower deck. The PTO belt runs from the engine to this pulley, then two belts run to the deck from it.
-
4 pointsSorry it took some time to get back to this. Thank you all for your responses! I've attached some pictures. I think I meant to say the crankshaft bolt, not driveshaft bolt. I've been playing musical engines between my snowblower, wood chipper, and 500 this week. Engine on the wood chipper wouldn't start as soon as I got it home (ran just fine at the guy's place I bought it from...go figure), the engine on the 500 was back too far to use the deck I just bought, and the snowblower was the donor engine. Finally got the 500 all set last night after a second trip for belts and come to find that it cuts sometimes, smokes the belts other times. I'll try to figure that one out tomorrow (have woodworking to do today). Anyways, back to the subject. There's a local guy who restores older equipment, and I'm considering using him to fix up the engine, but winter is coming, so we'll see. I've been known to mess things up more than they were to begin with, so considering the safer and cheaper option

4 pointsHere’s a couple I took from a few years ago while we had the grill fired up!
-
4 pointsGot all the trim stained and in place. Had to remove the toe kick under the bar. got that finished also.

4 pointsWorked the brown welded foot rest on the 701. Went thru a full MC bottle of acetylene. Those tote torches are nice but doesn't take long to whiz thru bottles when the cutting tip is used. Some day I'll gradeate to big bottles. Anyhoo got it to swing almost full around and verify the snapped off hoobie doo is not holding it anymore. Letting penetrants work their magic for abit. Then on to the collar and clutch pedal. Yes @Achto I when I burned the moss off!

3 pointsWell it has happened like it has to a lot of other folks. Been here almost 17 years. I will be out of a job by no later then november 2nd. Maybe before then. I am taking this very hard. This is my very first factory job i have did everything under the sun here skills wise. God always has a plan for us all and I know there is a reason for this but i just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet. I have worked for what was Courier of Kendallville. Then in 2015 we got bought out by rr donnelley then it turned into lsc communications. We were one of the top dogs in the book printing industry. I have love the place. put in a lot of hours. I was 23 when i started now i will be 40 in February. I now have health issues and i cant be lifting alot everyday. So Im praying that things work out and i can find a new job. I did put in an app at our digital plant just down the street but no word yet if i will get it. I am the only income so this is a real blow to my family. Im hoping i can hold onto my Horses and other equipment i have and own. Good thing is God id good and there are other jobs around my area. I have had alot of friends and family reach out to me. I have also had vendors reach out to me. I guess being a good person pays off from time to time. So saying all this I will be needing a lot of prayers that i can make good choices for me and my family. https://www.kpcnews.com/newssun/article_198dd094-cc19-5727-8694-f661610e26c0.html

3 pointsWho knew the Wheel Horse I with Kawasaki motor had a I H T C radiator in it built by the Indiana Heat Transfer Corporation built In Plymouth, Indiana. IHTC built all kinds of specialty radiators!
-
3 pointsYou'd have to remove the current one and take some measurements. I may have one I'd send you for a great price. Others above also may have them. One of the GREATEST things about being a member of Redsquare is that we take care of each other and our machines.

3 pointsGuess I am not the only one temporarily keeping a deck by the walk/driveway!

-
3 pointsIf I remember correctly it is a plate that is riveted on. Also I see you are new to the forum, so if I may offer a bit of advice that may be helpful. If you want to mention a user on the forum specifically which helps them to see the message you can put an @ symbol in front of their username and a little box will pop up as you are typing to help you select the person you are trying to mention and it will look like this @Mike e.

3 pointsFinally found a picture of one of my tractors that had a decent enough angle to show where the ID tag is.
-
3 pointsThe snow experts will be along shortly. For a good reason I don't have any blower knowledge. don't need it living in central Texas. Maybe I could use one as a big fan.
-
3 pointsI was thinking of going to get it sand blasted and see what it leaves me. I have to get a starter for the kohler to make sure the engine even works I guess would be best other wise I might just unload it to a guy who buys parts tractors for his parts store. I'd like to get it going but dont want to dump money over its value. Its ashame people let grass and pine needles in this deck that's what rotted it. The bearings spun so nice despite the decks rot. I can cut and weld and fab new reinforcement plates
-
3 pointsI haven't taken a lot of exciting photo's other than pics so I know how it goes back together! Here a few that I have taken so far. Plans are to lay down some yellow paint on Saturday and do the white stuff on Monday if the weather holds out. I had trouble getting the front axle off. The pin seized in the axle and broke the roll pin that holds it on and then destroyed the bracket by ovaling out the holes on both sides. So i cut the bracket off at the factory welds, got a suitable replacement and then welded the new one back on. Anyone have any tips on cleaning up these rubber seats? This is the first cub I've ever restored so it's been an educational experience! Also here is a pic of my 104 i use for plowing

2 pointsHi Fiona, I'm in South Yorkshire so a fair way away from you. I rebuilt my C-125 Engine but I'm by no means an engine guru. If you can find a local small engine repairer they may be able to look into your issue. If my engine had needed serious repair I may have had to go down that route or replace the engine with something not original. I take it you bought the machine from Chesterfield? Is it a machine you bought to use or are you an enthusiast? The guys here love their photos so attach a few to satisfy their curiosity lol. Best regards Mick
-
2 pointsNo pics of the inside. I did take the shifter off the top and took the back plate off to replace the gasket and clean it out. I'm telling you those transmission are indestructible and extremely heavy! It's the same transmission that is used on the farmall cub. On the 104, I had to replace the whole clutch driveshaft and everything because it was wore out and left go too long. It pulls that plow like it's nobody's business!

2 pointsWhat's your takes is this repairable it's a 62 inch deck with a lot of rot
-
2 pointsHad some cushion flooring, same pattern as that, in my previous abode. It was white though. Good choice of colour, when we lived in an old farm house and had a cobbled yard. Plus a pack of dogs. Ex wife got it when I was away working. Brains were not her strong point.
-
2 pointsStill have a small list of items to take care of on the 420 but those may have to wait until spring, time to have some fun with it. The grassy area behind the tractor is where we line up the WH's for the Meet. Started cleaning up the footrests on the 418-A, will recycle the footrest pads from the 420 and install them on the 418. Not sure if those will get done by the 12 th for the Meet, will trail ride it without them anyway. Patti and I did get the Porch/ Addition ready for the food area and beverages. Nice area in case the weather changes, a place to stay dry and have lunch etc.
