So after my good score yesterday on the dump cart and tool box I thought I would go back for more. Today I picked up these 2 Kennedy Boxes and a pedal car. Some of you might remember I used to have a pretty big pedal car collection, but had to sell many of them when I got out of the hospital. This one is no beauty queen but its all original. Now I have more tool boxes then tools. Only one goodie was in these boxes.

Had a belt noise on the Raider 10. Turns out the guard slid down a little bit and was rubbing on the top of the belt between engine and clutch pulley. Fortunately, it didn't hurt the new belt too bad...just a little bit of fraying on the seams. While I had the horse in the stable, I decided to swap seats. The old one had studs in the bottom and cups to keep it raised off the fender. Replacement didn't, so I added a couple washers to maintain clearance. Don't want anything trapped in there! I was skeptical reading that IH red was a good match for us, but I think it turned out pretty good.

I also have a Bronco 14...great tractor. In 30+ years, I've never heard of the symptoms you describe. However, the very first thing I always suggest is to look at the Left side of the hoodstand and see if the WELDED TAB is in tact...that it is not broken. At this juncture, that's all I got....but ...like Jethrow Clampett sez... "I'm a studyin' on it..."

I bought that exact toolbox in 1964, paid $68.00 and still have it. They are currently worth about $400 depending on condition. The higher priced ladies like them for jewelry boxes which helps keep the price up. I also have a larger Gerstner in good condition and a very old oak box that belonged to my uncle in very used condition.

Some of what is left of my traveling tools. I carried this case on many plane flights around the world inspecting hydro plants. Probably wouldn't work with todays security.

Friend of mine gave me A box of these yesterday said they were great for oil spills while changing oil or spilled oil. They are supposed to be really absorbent.

Well today I went to go look at another Cub Cadet... Nice tractor if I had help I most likely would have gotten it. It was a Hydro so it didnt roll all to easy and I didnt feel like killing myself trying to push it up ramps into my truck as it didnt run. Was a no go on the tractor but he mentioned he wanted to get rid of some things in the garage. Garage was full of stuff I am interested in. Tools... pedal car.... tool boxes... fishing gear... snow blowers... lawn mowers... everything. All in a pile though, nothing organized. I didnt leave empty handed. I should have bought more but I am on a budget. I got this beautiful Gerstner Machinist Tool Box. Tool box was full of stuff too. Not even sure if the stuff has value. I also got this really neat little 50's or 60's retro dump cart. Someone has painted it years ago. There is no tag on it. I think I see red paint under the other paint. The box I know is worth some money. The seller use to be a machinist and I almost took some Kennedy Boxes off his hands to. I might go back as he was almost giving them away. I post some pics of what was in the box maybe you guys know what they are.

While out in South Dakota last year, this was a common site along the roads and highways.

Nope ... just polished the snot out of it and cc it. Was on the fence about cc when I did it. About 3 layers. Some guys here said yes some said no but after the effort in polishing I had in it was afraid of oxidation. Kinda like AL rims on a car. Granted this gal does not see road salt but she is a worker and gets regular baths. Wished I had a can of the Eastwood product when I did it tho. Pulling Dan's lawn roller. @dclarke

So, have a 1982 sk486, just got.... serial 01-16kh01-24458. Under that is 2054. It has the original (not butchered) rear discharge under belly mower. I am having a tough time deciding on blades, finding the tensioner pulley, and the belt for it.... any help? Pics for the fans

No Mick. Keep using English terms. It makes things interesting, the difference between proper English and American English. Educational as well.

To me, it sounds like something rattling around just behind the tin around the flywheel...like a little stone or nut being kicked around. It doesn't sound like it is from inside the engine, more like a marble on the roulette wheel. Take off that particular engine tin and have something (like newspaper) under there to catch anything that falls out. One small piece of pea gravel under that screen.

I think you need to put a turbo on it. That should take care of any underlying issue. And a louder sound system.

Its surprising how different our language can be. Yes fly tipping is our term for dumping trash. Quite a problem over here, from someone cleaning their garden waste to companies tipping tons of waste. Car tyres are always a problem but since China stopped taking ours to recycle its gotten worse. Any bit of road will do, any time of day. These boys will drive up, tip off and scarper (run away) without a care. I do try to Americanise my posts usually, using trunk and hood but I missed fly tipping lol. Mick

Same thing here once EB on a weed sacker... intermittent and a pull my hair out to track down. Had good spark leaning up against the fire hole but once the plug was seated nothing. Same thing as ZXT just mentioned on a small bore Clinton. Musta pulled that flywheel a dozen times for I figured out to move the connie out from behind and try a different one.

Remove the condenser wire from the ignition coil for testing. The ignition will work without a condenser, it is there to extend the life of the ignition points. At the moment the points open the condenser quenches the arc across the points extending their life, the rest of the time it just sits there.

Could it be a baffle inside the muffler that came loose over the winter?

Now to get it running I'll post pictures of it and a pic of the identification plate tomorrow I already love it and it still has two years of dust on it from setting in a burn or garage so I'll probably be getting more I have two now a-165 and c-175

Man .... not a single comment on the dump cart. I thought it was pretty cool. It is built very well. Solid rubber tires. I am going to repaint it. Looked like red paint peeking out from under the other paint. I am thinking its 1950s or 60s judging on how well its built. Its small enough that I am going to keep it around. They come in handy for so many uses other then towing kids around. I like the solid tires. Never have to worry about a flat. Real happy with this and the Chest. The small tool are just a bonus.

New blades on the 42 inch deck. And got the deestone ags mounted using my tow trucks wheel-lift. Couldnt inflate them since im going tubeless and don't have enough pressure to seat them at home. Will bring them to work tomorrow to finish then install them on the 315

Square Hood on a Square Hood! EDIT: JUST GOES TO SHOW HOW BAD MY EYES HAVE GOTTEN! NEVER NOTICED THE PACKING MATERIAL STILL STUCK IN HE 701! I've had it for months!

I will clean it up some. Just picked it up today. This one in this condition isnt really worth a whole lot. Fixing all the dents, 2 tone paint, and trying to find the decals makes it not very cost effective to restore. But it is cool just the way it is.

@Ed Kennell I wont do anything with that pedal car. I have done some in the past. I show a few pictures of a Super Sonic Jet I did. I had to sell it when I finished my cancer treatments. Was almost a year I went without working. Being in the hospital from my surgeries and the follow up treatments emptied my bank account. I had to sell most of them. This one was special to me as I most likely will never find another. Kids painted it over at some point. I brought it back to life.

I tore the head off and the head looked good even had newer hardware. Anyone see whats wrong in this picture? So, I fished out the bolt that was holding the intake open. Rotated the engine over and I did not see any light when the valve was closed. I assembled the engine and checked the compression. 110psi cool I adjusted the linkage and played around with the throttle checking the governor operation. Everything works as it should. I am chucking this one up to a considerable amount of dumb luck. The bolt was large enough that it was stuck in the intake valve not making it into the head yet small enough it did not hit the cylinder. Thank you guys for all the help.

The noise I hear is more of a rattle than a knock, and while it's consistent it is not nearly as consistent as a rod knock. Like the others, it sound more like something loose, belt guard, tins, give everything a good cleaning, then start checking nut and bolts.

OK, here you go! It looks like a very nice shop built cart. If it was factory built I don't think the would have folded the ears over at the rear. Now that you have some machinist tools I guess the next step will be buying a metal lathe.

This 520 Im working on is a 91 also. But I'll get 2 gaskets just in case... Probability wont get into this till it cools off here.... Thanks all

My C-160 of 1974 with the Sundstrand 90-1140 Auto has 75lb weight on EACH rear wheel, and fluid-filled 23x10.5x12 tires. Never an issue of any sort.

I just got the C-175 home I'll post pics tomorrow thanks for the help guys I'm thinking of going with Rust-Oleum Sunrise red for the main paint and the classic black for the hood and maybe some pinstripes for a little personal touch and all the original decals and thank's Alex 175 i will go with metal rear fender pan too the plastic one is broken

Never had a problem with my 312H pushing snow or pulling down trees. Around 500 lbs with me in the seat.

I’ve been looking for a couple 3/8”x3-1/2” cap screws, I didn’t realize I left them in NY!

The big winds have already arrived around 2 to 3 this afternoon. Got the metal loaded up after the storms. Well the first wave came through then I loaded got it up and unloaded now it's just nothing but steady rain!!!

Around here at the local O'Reillys, it's around $1 a foot. Our local car club has an account with them that members can use, and it typically cuts the price in half of most fuel line. I think the last time I bought 1/4" under the account it came out to $.60 a foot.

Here are some of the things that were in the box. Box was pretty full of junk but these are a few things that maybe have value? I dont know what they are or even how to use them.

Tried today to grab the AC Voltage and send it to a regulator, but it does not support useful Voltage. just 0,3 V AC occurs, not enough for the Lights, a rework of the Coil is required. Than next parts arrived. A set of new Mowerblades, but they also just have to be reworked until they be usable, but it seems a possible solution for what i would use them. we will see. Friends arrived with their Motorhome to spent few Day‘s here, that means my work must be interrupted for a short periode. Additionally it begins hardly to Rain, that means also a Stop for now. prepare all for a nice Barbecue.

First gas station I worked at in High School had on of those four cylinder Jeep pick-ups. In 4 wheel low it was unstoppable but when you were in high range you had to check to be sure it wasn't in low!

This photo would have been in 2000 or 2001 when the barn was freshly built. My dad had the 64 ford f600 buffed it looked new! My adopted mom accused dad of having it repainted. LOL and the other truck was our 1951 ford f7. The land around the barn is kendallville indiana soccer and baseball diamonds now.
