Hope you don't mind... me giving you a few more looks at this thing. I couldn't wait any longer, hood is plenty dry enough at this point to safely handle. Represents 10 days worth effort here...time well spent, if you're asking me.

Well I have to thank @arrkerr for dealing with me and being patient also @pullstart Kevin as we were trying to set something up too .Arrkerr placed a ad in the classifieds for a free C101 with a front mounted Mighty Mac chipper, a Agri-Fab sprayer and a WH cart his father bought new with the tractor. Bonus was it close to me , only 30-40 minutes away . Well I did what every addic would do with to many tractors I PM”ed him as fast as I could . Then it was like ok dumbarsh how you going to pull this off without my son and wife knowing. Made all my normal calls for help and it was a no go from everyone for at least a week . Called him back and told him what was up and he said no biggie , they just have to be gone by Labor Day . He also said he was feeling the pressure from the wife that the tractor better not be showing up in their shed either . Well yesterday was the day everything worked out and I didn’t get caught . His dad did keep the cart and homemade weights but you can’t argue with free and with a tlc I think it’s a runner. The chipper is froze up but looks like the mount is made for the tractor and the sprayer needs tubes and hoses.

New blades on the 42 inch deck. And got the deestone ags mounted using my tow trucks wheel-lift. Couldnt inflate them since im going tubeless and don't have enough pressure to seat them at home. Will bring them to work tomorrow to finish then install them on the 315

So I just made it home today with my new find well actually a little labor trade for material. This is the lean to roof for my new horse shed. Got 10 sheets of 14 foot by 3 foot wide black 22 gauge sheet metal.

Here are some of the things that were in the box. Box was pretty full of junk but these are a few things that maybe have value? I dont know what they are or even how to use them.

You are correct is not common but it can send you down rabbit holes when it does occur. The less than $5 spark plug tester at harbor freight is more than worth its money...

Of course i have had a coiple instances with Champion plugs that that would fire on eh head but not when under compression,

I think you took it the point where the belt guard and panels should be painted up nice and glossy to match the hood, give it the mirror gloss look

Do you have the belt guard on? The belt guard works as the guide for the belt and also stops the belt when you push the clutch in so that you can shift gears.

Never have been a fan of the glossy patina look, but... anything for you Madge!

The C-105 has a cradle mount engine. Have you checked the ground on that mount. Seen bad ones cause similar problems.

How good does that look? Insurance is £80 for the year. No tax or MOT test to deal with. I'm on the road folks.

Along with the engine swap project, I added a new LED light to the shop and refilled my peanut butter mouse trap!

Not a bad thought. I can run for better than 1.5 hrs on the gallon and a half tank that is in my Raider 12. I'm usually ready for a break by the time it needs gas. Not sure I would be able to get off of the seat if I ran 3+hrs straight.

Well today I went to go look at another Cub Cadet... Nice tractor if I had help I most likely would have gotten it. It was a Hydro so it didnt roll all to easy and I didnt feel like killing myself trying to push it up ramps into my truck as it didnt run. Was a no go on the tractor but he mentioned he wanted to get rid of some things in the garage. Garage was full of stuff I am interested in. Tools... pedal car.... tool boxes... fishing gear... snow blowers... lawn mowers... everything. All in a pile though, nothing organized. I didnt leave empty handed. I should have bought more but I am on a budget. I got this beautiful Gerstner Machinist Tool Box. Tool box was full of stuff too. Not even sure if the stuff has value. I also got this really neat little 50's or 60's retro dump cart. Someone has painted it years ago. There is no tag on it. I think I see red paint under the other paint. The box I know is worth some money. The seller use to be a machinist and I almost took some Kennedy Boxes off his hands to. I might go back as he was almost giving them away. I post some pics of what was in the box maybe you guys know what they are.

Nope ... just polished the snot out of it and cc it. Was on the fence about cc when I did it. About 3 layers. Some guys here said yes some said no but after the effort in polishing I had in it was afraid of oxidation. Kinda like AL rims on a car. Granted this gal does not see road salt but she is a worker and gets regular baths. Wished I had a can of the Eastwood product when I did it tho. Pulling Dan's lawn roller. @dclarke

Final prep for 3 yards of gravel... Going to get a 10 x 18 metal carport for the new camper and it will sit on gravel... gravel area will be 10 x 25. Put the blade on the C105 and gassed her up for grading / dozer duty...

I stood my ground buddy, and sprayed a whole brand new can on that hood before it ran out on me.

Just last week I had a 2 stroke trimmer with a good spark leaning on the engine. Damn thing wouldn't start. Changed the plug. Whammahblammo!! Fired right up. FWIW it was an NGK plug new and old.

Ditto, swap the old plug for a new plug.

I did not have an orange peel issue but I did get a lot of stuff done around the house in between coats. It took at least an hour for each coat to tack up enough to be ready for another coat. The paint seems to hold up well though. I used it on my snow plow last fall and it still looks good after plowing snow through winter. I did use a their hardener in the paint that I sprayed.

Released 3 more this morning 7 in total now. had a visitor coming into the back yard yesterday afternoon.

Two hours dry time... and easily dry enough for me to reinstall on the tractor Madge!

Bad ground can and will cause all kinds of fun things. I run extra grounds on the rigs I rewire.

Kinda leaning that way too. It's just that, though they may not read that way in picts, them panels turned out so darn believeable with their color and paint texture. Thinking I'm almost ready to apply that process to an RJ-35 project I have sitting in wait.

Vertical shaft lawn mowers like that one don’t interest the collectors. I also think that the hood and fender and most other parts won’t fit the garden tractors that most of us here collect and use, or have brought back to life or are in the process of bringing back to life. I wish you good luck with it but me personally...I wouldn’t haul one like that home even if it was free. But that’s just me and my opinion.

In a spray can Rust-Oleum 2X is about the best you can do. Covers well. Lays out nice. Only thing is it takes several weeks to cure. (Not dry. Cure. )
