11 pointsSo I went to a few garage sales today. Picked up a 10 drawer top box for an old 1960's Craftsman bottom chest I had. I also picked up these. I couldnt pass them up for what they were asking. These are vinyl decals that would go on the doors of your truck, side of a trailer, your back window.... where ever you want to put them I guess. I bought 2 sets of door decals and 2 rear window decals. I was going to put them on my truck but chickened out. I am not a " biker" anymore and when I was I never owned an Indian. I dont know what to do with them but I kinda want to go back tomorrow and get the rest of them..... I know Im funny like that. Any ideas what I can do with them?? Any Indian guys?

10 pointsThose are awesome! I had the good fortune to be able to ride one of the new Indians a few years ago out at Sturgis and man are they nice machines. The best word I keep coming back to as a way to describe them is smooth. From the throttle response, braking, shifting, cornering, everything about that ride was just smooth and a really enjoyable experience. I love the bikes, only wish I could afford one . I had it for the day so my brother and I rode all around the Black Hills. We started with Breakfast at a little coffee shop inside an old gas station in Deadwood (one of the coolest towns I've ever been to) The Indian front and center in the picture is the one I was riding, a Chieftain Classic. Then stopped at the Pactola Dam and Reservoir which is absolutely gorgeous. And ended the day going up to Mount Rushmore...man that was a good day.

8 pointsRelatively clean installation of all the brake hardware today. Pretty much just watching the paint dry on this thing now.

8 pointsHydro 10w-30 yes, 5.5 quarts bone dry, fill up using the dipstick and recheck after start up. Drain plug in the center, bottom right behind the hitch and requires a 1/4" allen hex wrench. can be tight. When refilling you can remove one of the 3/8" bolts holding seat pan assy. to allow air to escape and the oil to fill much faster.

8 pointsPoppy was a blast to toss together! I sure would have loved to see a dual belt guard sticking out the side, but all in all, it’s a beast the way it came out! here’s my two ‘62’s, the 502 Putt Putt and 552 Poppy!

7 pointsWhen equipped with a 426 Hemi Mopar advertised the Charger at 425hp. I agree with Squonk, the next step up in hp from a Charger 12 was the Bronco14.

6 pointsCame to me with virtually brand new set of Carlisle front ags, and a nice set of original Goodrich Silvertowns on the rear. Going to replace the rears with a new set of Carlisle Tru-Powers and swap the Silvertowns to an up coming RJ-35 project.

5 pointsSo I went back to the garage sale today and bought up the rest of the decals. The guy was busy so I couldnt really talk to him. I did ask if I could take a picture of his bike he said yes ... here it is. He told me he used to restore old pick up trucks and use these decals on some trucks. Said he did a 46 Chevy not long ago and sold it through Barrett - Jackson. Anyways I will post a pic of his bike here and pics of the decals in next post. His licence plate reads " SCALPD"

5 pointsThey may not get Crazy Horse done in my lifetime, but in the museum they have a nice Indian MC on display. We had breakfast in a gas station in Deadwood too back in May of 2019. No Indians parked there, but there was one sitting on the street nearby.

5 pointsMike, make sure your Sundstrand has motor oil in it now. It should be amber in color. If it is pink in color, then it has ATF and you don't want to mix the two fluids. If it is amber, then use the 10-30 engine oil like Joe says, not hydraulic oil or heavy gear oil or ATF.

5 pointsThose ‘mud mowers’ are gaining popularity and hold up quite well actually. Many are using lesser quality mowers and vertical shaft engines (still don’t know how they keep a belt on submerged in mud!) but they go through transmissions often. The ol’ wheel horse trannys are pretty tough so a few run em. This is ‘wheel’n horse’- a very well used and abused, nearly not worth saving 654 I threw together for trail riding. It does surprisingly well, and will run 28mph flat out.

4 pointsAgain I used a Ross Steering unit from a Cub on my second WH custom. Built for wheel stands, gripping the wheel could be a matter of life or death. The tower and steering components had to be capable of holding a man as if he were hanging over a cliff. Since I don't weld I bolted on a section of frame for the tower that had the transmission plate. I had to cut down the steering column so I could use a deep quick release steering wheel. A mule pulley housing mated the column to the tower as strong as if I had welded it all together. To soften the landings I cut to size porch swing springs to replace the sections of axle I cut off. A 4" pulley on the engine and 3" on the trans makes a perfect all around 2nd gear. Third bogs down and first is too slow for me.

4 pointsOther than putting Poppy together yesterday, I stuck Rylee on Hot Wheels and tossed a drag together. Jada ended up putting herself in a large cardboard box to guard from the sun and wore some safety glasses while riding the drag. The driveway looks much better, but still needs more drag work!

4 points700 Workhorse , found it on Facebook Marketplace and it's now home after a 175 mile round trip road trip. my plan is to ditch the incorrect engine and install a good H70 i happen to have ready. then grease it up , fix a few things, sharpen the blades and go mow. tires seam to hold air i'm kinda diggin' the headlights , they may stay!
