11 pointsA long time liurker here. After years of wanting a WheelHorse but not able to justify the expense, I’ve ended up with two in the last week. Both came from elderly relatives that were downsizing. One is a 1978 C-141. The other is a 1996 M12. Both run and have mower decks. Got the M12 yesterday and the C-141 last Saturday. Not had any time to play with them yet. jhn9840 John

5 pointsAnd finally the fruits of our night and days labour - it doesn't look like much but that's roughly what we send away every three weeks, rain hail or shine.

5 pointsFirst contact - it looks like an alien encounter. In the second photo we decided to go for the "Tron" look - hi Vis and a flash do not work so well. Third photo, the girls taking a quick break while we take pigs back to the shed.

5 pointsLong long day for this old GT-1448, but finally wrapped up some small and large problems.. Somehow the threads in the intake tappet failed.. been chasing my tail trying to keep it running for weeks and getting worse and worse, thought it somehow rounded off the lobe.. Anyway. A nifty brass spacer later, we're up and running again. Tore out the rats nest of old Briggs wiring and did her up proper for the Kohler and lighting-coil headlight system. Funny to not have to mess with it every time I want it to move now..

5 pointsok.....the journeys over......This is is one of the most ORIGINAL Horses ever that I have seen. One owner, unmolested.....has a bad left front hoof though, I am going to put some dressing on it after dinner... poor thing..... Paint on the dash is really nice, and the overall paint on the machine is pretty darn nice too....Going to give her a salad dressing finish, then go through all of the fluids. They all look full, and like honey. AMAZING. If it not being indoors its whole life things may have turned out different for this Horse. Now its home to where it will be able to graze on non ethanol fuels, Lucas oil,and very special lubricants.... LOOK WHAT FOLLOWED ME HOME HONEY.......................I also told you about the skeleton...and some other priceless items in the yard...check out the Skee Horse...awesome. Read the signs tooo....what a find free mule drive....look at these guys towing the tractor from the rear property...

4 pointsMust shortly back into office, but i embraced my new Horse when i came back home. - don‘t ask how the neighbours look at me... 😂😂😂 Gents, believe it or not, that was my best Birthday since i can remember, even while sadly the Big show was dropped about that dang Corona thing. But the Big Show is just shifted not dropped. It is maybe just a old and small machine maybe not much worth for somebody, but it means a lot to me. Big Thanks again to all involved!

4 pointsDid a C85 black hood a few years back, traded it to @shallowwatersailor, he maybe able to chime in on it's condition. Seemed very strong as compared to a gaser in same hp range. Hood clearance was an issue, raised hood 3/4 and kind of spread it. Used 3/8 plate threaded blocks to locate engine in correct alignment and welded in place.

4 pointsI hope customs went well, it must have! On the paperwork, I listed “Wheelhorse Tractor and Accessories”. You probably did not realize the accessories were that plenty! I am over joyed that YOUR NEW WHEEL HORSE! arrived safely Stefan!

3 pointsFor all of us who know how long it takes to start one of these flathead Kohlers, with the gas tank in the back after sitting a while. This is my $8 fix I did a couple years ago. This 312 has been sitting since April, only hooked up to the battery tinder. 5 or 6 pumps and it fired right up. If it only sits for a week or two, it only takes 1 or 2 pumps. IMG_6653 (2).MOV

3 pointsMy son-in-law just bought this 4-wheel cart. It has a hydraulic dump, wooden sides, and measures 40" x 72". Anybody have any idea if who the manufacturer is.

3 pointsFirstly i introduce the Greasepump to a few greasenipples. They appreciate it. and some light Oil to greasing moving Parts to break loose. the next day‘s i will rework the Oil drain pipe, because it becomes loose. Then i will fill Engine Oil in and Gear Oil and do a compression test, after that i will do a first Testride, to see how the Engine performs before i do start the whole rework.

3 pointsLol... did I mention I love pork rinds! My wife used to chide me about eating them. Now she's hooked on them and buys 3 -4 bags at a time! Keep up the good work Dan we'll be thinking of you when we are filling up on @Achto's smoked pulled pork on plough day!

3 pointsEric, when you say camp coffee do you mean Camp coffee ☕ This stuff was the drink of choice for my great grandmother; Bertha Sabina Pantry. It was brewed in a cast iron vessel as other materials did not have sufficient strength to contain the chemically active substance safely. It also stained any material it came into contact with dark brown and was used to permanently colour the hair of children born with the genetic disorder "Gingerious Hairius" to save them from a lifetime of ridicule. Camp coffee was developed in Scotland, well known for its profusion of ginger people and it was probably an early form of hair dye before it was found to be drinkable. The Scots are also renowned for drinking other unpalatable liquids such as Brasso metal polish and Irn Bru (apparently distilled from girders according to the original patent). It was adopted in Yorkshire as an effective boot polish and was sometimes made into a drink before bursting onto the world scene as a spray tanning solution when "Strictly come dancing 💃" became popular. Camp coffee was originally taken on military campaigns to provide a taste of home for troops fighting in foreign lands. Given that home was in Bonny Scotland one can only imagine what that taste would have been; deep fried Mars bar perhaps? Made with boiled milk, which is the only known substance that Camp coffee will mix with, this drink has a distinctive flavour which is nothing like coffee. 3 pointsI use this method for duals on my cubs and think its a great way to do it. Works with any wheels no matter what the backspacing. Randy

3 pointsBeen trying to find a new fridge for a couple months. If you don't want white, black, or SST, forget it. Of course Mrs. K needs almond or the biscuit color. How many rattle cans will I need? On a positive note, when I place my monthly order for my OTC free medical supplies from MEDLINE, they are on the porch within 24 hours.
-
3 pointsIDK, I ordered an engine from one place and some mower blades from another & they both came a day early.

2 pointsI have a 47" opening for the door so it sounds like I can fit if the mower is set up for mulching!? Sweet! Now I'm just anxiously waiting for the seller to get back to me now so I can set up a time to meet.

2 pointsHey Gang, this was another recent video that I made about modifying the plow beam to be longer to aid in higher lift off the ground to avoid chucks of lawn removed when transporting as well as giving better reach. Check out the video. Sub if you're not, hit that alert bell and like the video as well as share on social media with family and friends that you think might like this type of stuff. Got plenty of other video up and being editing from this summer. Andrew C.

2 pointsThe "great American institution" has been a bankrupt swamp for many years. If you want the status quo, write your congressman and demand to pay taxes to keep their pensions intact. The big push for mailing ballots belongs in a third world country.

2 pointsIt's just gone midnight and we are all up to start weaning the piglets. We go to each outside pen and pick the mother's up with the trailer, and shut the hut door so the (hopefully) sleeping piglets are trapped inside. Should be done by 8am, then everyone else turns up and collects the piglets and brings them into the weaning shed. A truck will pick them up on Friday morning and take them to Yorkshire where another farm makes them big. I'm just doing it for free to help out my wife and because I'm stupid! The kids all come out as well so it's a real family evening.
-
2 pointsSo I'll ask the silly question, do you have gasin the tank? Also if you disconnect the fuel line at the carb, do you see gas coming out when you crank the engine?
