Well I'm still working on my son's house. but beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. So' I'm at least back to gather parts for projects. I had disassembled some idler pulley's for my Some Day WH Suburban project's when @prondzy came up with his cool jig to reassembly them with rivets instead of screws. Thanks, with a little red paint they will look original and they roll great with the new bearings. Receive a seat for my Ol' Blue WH 953 prodject from @BOB ELLISON . It looks as original as anyone could ask form. Thanks Bob!

First if all I'd like to thank @Stepney Spenser for connecting us with another Wheelhorse. This one is believed to be a 68 Raider. 6 speed so it should have an LSD transmission. Needs some TLC like mouse house removal and general maintenance. Runs and drives well just as it is.

You need to accept and admit that you have a serious addiction, Eric. That’s the first steps to getting help. I know of a five step program that can get you healthy again. 1) Send me a list of all your WH tractors. 2) Confirm your address. 3) Help me load your rolling stock on my trailer. 4) Put all your boxed parts in my truck cap. 5) Focus on building ships in pop bottles. It’s OK to be sad. I’ll send you pictures from time to time. This system works. Trust me. LOL...! Dave

Jim, I’m not sure Terry is gonna get this tractor back, my granddaughter calls it “my pink tractor” 🤣🤣. I guess I better get started on her Ranger build.

I found these two piece cultivators to do a very inadequate job in actual gardening! They look great in tractors for shows and pictures but really not workers! My favorite cultivator is my nine time one with a mix of three blades -1 large Danish knife, four smaller Danish knives and four of the regular Wheel Horse knives or shovels. I can do a garden of seven or eight rows in 15 to 20 minutes. I bought one more cultivator recently, an AC-7 original Wheel Horse cultivator ( these were first used on the Pond two wheel garden tractors and made by Brinly) with a 1959 RJ in May of this year. It was missing the center clamp ( which I got from another Wheel Horse friend) and I bought some additional parts to make it have nine times instead of eight.

Could be repeating myself here. Apologies if so.

Nice! On another note: @WHX24... be afraid... be very afraid... Paint Department gonna come lookin for you... cue the Maine Accented theme from “The Godfather”... your gonna find a Techy WH Head in your bed one of these days... (even the mafia won’t waste a Kohler on that...)

I'd ask Denny to do me a pink build for me but by the time we got at it my little one's would have little ones who would have little ones! Since the cats out the bag Denny/Terry guess I can post this one now!l.... When Dan and I visited...Denny wanted Terry to see it first so I couldn't post it. Some other fine tractors ther too!

@Stormin No need for an apology, I have a habit of doing that myself. The way I look at it is there are many members and non members who never get to see these beautiful machines because they are not able to be on here as frequent as some of us are and have to scroll way back to find them if they ever do. We are all caretakers of these tractors only for a short time and I am trying to extend the life of those I own so hopefully other generations will be able to work and show these as we do and get the satisfaction that we got from them while we are here. This is another beauty I let slip away.

We had a little get together yesterday. A buddy from years back hopped on Hot Wheels with his 2(ish) year old daughter. She had a blast!

Today I am working in the Shop, pulling a wheel for a member here, he is in need of a nice steering wheel.... Then I am putting the trailer on the Z71 to go get a B100....all original....... tomorrow. The tractor is in its fine color, with its original deck, a 42" side discharge. The tractor is my garage find after being nosey about other items in his yard... When you see a skeleton riding a snowmobile in a mound of dirt in the front yard....., you want to inquire !!! The tractor is tucked in a big garage, and has not ran in 15 years im told... Looks to be accurate. No rust rot on deck, super solid B tractor. I pulled the Rear stick, clean gear oil....unbolted the engine stick, crystal clear engine oil....Worth a shot @ 350.00 for tractor and deck I guess....Unmolested original B 100 Going to change my Hydro oil on both 418 A tractors today also....will post B100 pictures when I get her home...Have a safe day Horse fans !!!!

Since we haven’t been able to take any of our tractors to shows this year, Emory wanted to have our own show. We moved 24 of our tractors to a field at Dad’s and camped out with them. Emory had a blast! I’ll be glad when we get back to real shows though! i had to go help a fellow tractor club member cut a poplar tree today. Afterwards we all went to his shop and looked around. I found a surprise sitting in one of his sheds and he wanted to know if I wanted to buy it. I asked about the price and he said $75! I couldn’t pull the money out of my wallet fast enough!! Bought a little Bolens walk behind tractor with cultivator. It’s even still wearing its original paint. Emory was thrilled when I got back with it!!

And here’s my “Little Blue Truck” competition! I saw numerous occasions of two horses in the back of a pickup! I even saw a car with a washer or dryer BUNGEED in/on the trunk!

Started my process of replicating patina on the 854's tins yesterday. Trying to be patient at this point... ...just waiting for them to cure before I start the color sanding process. Pretty pleased with my results so far.

@Stepney came by for a visit today. One of the things he gave me a hand with was to get the transmission removed and split. Inside of it looks great other than the parking pawl being badly bent. Need to order some gaskets and a limited slip spring from @wheelhorseman Lowell and get it back together.

Here are some closer pics of the little Bolens. It appears to have been kept in the dry most of its life and still has most of its original paint.

With the lockdown going into a month and a half for me I wanted to take the time to get the camper together that was gifted to us by my in-laws. Its a 97 colman fleetwood bayside with a cracked abs top ( very common issue for these pop ups) the inside deck was in good shape but the storage area and canvas are beyond gone! This is as of tonight and work has slowed some as I ran the screw gun into my left hand. Last pic is the baby boy with his new toy he wanted to show off 🐕. We will keep going with it I have the truck bed coat for the outside and a new canvas is getting made. My wife wanted mint green and retro as the inside colors so along with the microwave in the pictures we have a mint green fridge on its way. All the trim inside will be white and all the new wood gets a mint green paisley contact paper cover. The storage area was removed altogether and will get a new deck for bike and tuff box storage. If anybody ever wants to do one of these I now have more knowledge on them than could ever want! The dark area on the deck is the contact cement from the old floor taken out with a few charred areas from my torch on stubborn areas. I will update when she is all done and ready to camp again.

Tomorrow I'll be visiting one of my favourite landfills, there's a golf course nearby that has some older Toro stuff but nothing this old. I'll post pictures from their bone yard on my return home.

We saw more vintage trucks, Jeeps and the like than we could shake a stick at in Puerto Rico, so much fun! I will post some hot rod/car pics in the other thread too. The Suzuki had to have been a custom, I believe it was sitting on a Sidekick frame. The white food truck, it was solar powered and the food was absolutely amazing! “La comida huevo fantastico!” I believe is the phrase I told the lady.

Try running the tractor in second gear going the opposite direction.. Ought to bend it back into shape

Swage for forming/crimping gutters. Saw one identical to it in an antique shop in Fredricksburg, Tx a few years ago but it had another piece with it. They wanted over $100 for it if I remember right.. Thought it was cool but not that cool!

You tie it to a stick. Back scratcher.

Be sure to use threadlocker, you can't make that bolt very tight with the plastic fan.
  33. 4 points
If the deck is free and spins nice, and the motor doesn't loose speed / RPM it sounds like the PTO clutch is not tight enough. The following is the adjustment instructions. for that clutch.

Hey hey, slow down there! Before you have me on the apprentice shouldn't I show there's a business in there lol. We don't have business permits or licensing over here, but insurance might be necessary in case someone loses a foot to me fitting a new grass box. Going to just test the water and see if there's a need for my work. If not I'm not worried about it, all my tools are for my hobby anyways. Thinking of offering a hibernation package to put the mower away for the winter, clean and dry, ready to start first time in spring. Mick

Getting quite a collection there, it's amazing how it builds up! I found a way to get my growing herd accepted, have given each of the kids and my wife one, they get naming rights and decide the paint scheme - I just do the work and routine maintenance. The perfect plan!

The gas tank is a later type, yes. But the shelf was changed as well. We believe it to be a 1968 because it has only one pedal and the hood stand still has the (leftover from 67) slide tab slot (empty) for locking the seat pan AND uses the correct push tab like a 68 to actually do so. This one has some PO mods on it that can't be explained. The paint is a light maroonish color and gone over all the original decals. The transmission had been apart before painting. We can see gasket sealer at the seam. The RH axle is 1" shorter than the LH one. The hubs are late model HD type with 2 set screws. Shift knob is an odd shape too. Then on the front right there's a pulley mounted on a well built bracket welded to the front of the frame just behind the hood. Also note the box shaped mount on the RH foot rest. We're thinking maybe a plow mount of some sort. Obviously a lifting mechanism. After or in between getting the Charger going I'd like to do a quick mechanical resto but Trina can barely look at the paint without reaching for a body grinder so it may get repainted too. @WHX24 we're planning on this one being a nice bright RED. Did you know our house front door is now bright red?? Thanks Dan. No deck with this one. We don't mow with a horse anyway. I do have one mowing deck from the C160/Tecumseh project tractor and it's just as rough as the rest of the rig. Right now we have: 4 that run and drive. Trina's Pigpen 867, Pony 657, my Cinnamon Horse C160, Patriot Horse B80. 2 close to that. (This and the Charger) 3 project tractors. Her 856 which will likely be fitted with a Chrysler military engine. My C160/Tecumseh. And Colossus. LOTS of parts.

Got a couple little things done today.........everything on the frame is loose and just hanging there. I just didn't have any need to tear it down any farther. Everything was disassembled , de-greased , serviced as needed, and loosely re-assembled. All the grease fittings and hardware will be replaced as it goes back together. Everything for the tractor itself is painted and ready for re-assembly.

Excellent. Acceptance isn't much of an issue considering Trina loves the tractors too but now we need to build another shelter and find some implements to use with them.
