11 pointsI'm new to this wheel horse game but from the hour I had to do research before I won 2 auctions, it seems like a pretty damn good machine. My friend just bought a small farm and is starting out from absolute scratch. A short sale auction was going to end and just happened to have a 350-8 with 90 hours. Also it came with a a slew of Johnny brand accessories ( see pic). Now of course I may be getting the shaft sight unseen but they also had another wheel horse ( no model info and untested) up for bids with a mower deck and bagger. I said what the hell. I could use it for spare parts. Well, as I said, we were the winning bids. The 350-8 with attachments we got for $1100 and the other one ( untested) we got for $260. Please make me feel better and let me know if this should be a brag post or a walk of shame post lol.

5 pointsJust finished several upgrades to my 414-8. Installed Wheel Horse Parts and More rear receiver hitch (excellent product). Also installed front receiver hitch, new gas cap and new 8" narrow wheels with Deestone Try Ribs. Can't wait to do some plowing.

4 pointsThank you sir. I cut them and my boy glues them together. Thank you. I’ll tell me son. I just love watching him weld them together and it’s father/son time. Now I’m gettting lessons too. Not doing too bad either but nothing like that.

4 pointsYeah, the $260 one is where you made a steal of a deal! I imagine the accessories on the 350-8 make it a better deal, but the majority decision here is garden tractors are far superior to lawn tractors. As mentioned, hopefully your friend has a big barn for you to store these in, they tend to multiply! I made room in the garage for storage by putting up racks. Next I know, they are full and so is the floor again!

4 pointsWhat is that for a Action..? It was not a steal - i thought first you get it for maybe 200-300 $ but 1100 is a fair Price. Whatever his reason was to sell it to you, you got it by a fair Price, so i se absolutely no reason to feel guilty or even give it back. In all , but here i‘m with @cleat and @ebinmaine Your offer if you like sometimes to resell it, is more than fair. It‘s up to you how you deal with that Situation, but i think if he regrets his Sale, than it‘s his own issue. you don‘t wrist his Arm to sale it to you.

4 pointsI think this might apply to boredom eradication... I had a lego build off with Rylee tonight. We took turns grabbing stuff out of the bin and had Jada judge them. This is my air vehicle.

3 pointsHello Gents, I'm a new owner of a 2000 520Lxi. It's a awesome tractor which came with a mower deck, snow blower attachment, plow blade and a Trailor...great condition and I will be spending the next few days going over it ie, cleaning changing fluids, plugs etc. Would there be any issues with switching to synthetic engine oil? Also, I would like a bagger for it but don't think I will be able to find one so I'm go to McGuiver the one from my old tractor. Any pics or suggestions would be appreciated... Thanks Wheelhoarsers

3 pointsHi guys, WheelhorseBob here. I'm fairly sure I was a member long ago but competing interests won the day. Anyway, I'm back and I finally have a life long desire fore filled. I just acquired a 520H born in 1993. I've owned a bunch of "Horses" over the years but I've always wanted a 520. This one needs a little cleaning etc.,but with only 318 hours I'm thinking it will be a keeper. Came with the 48" rear discharge deck and 44" dual stage snow blower. The attachments are in very nice shape. Anyway, I've never mowed with anything but a Wheel Horse and I'm 54 yeas old, I currently have a mint 312-8 with a 42 inch recycler and a 310-8 that has a 37" bagger for fall clean-up. Three Horses, I may have a problem...... -Bob.

3 pointsI like the tread design on the original front tires. Good looking machine. Now all you need is a headlight lens!
-
3 pointstheoretically it will fill with oil.... however it is a vacuum pump, so should never have oil in the suction tube... I bought some clear tube to try with mine just to see! Also thought of mounting it just above the outlet, so any oil will drain back.

3 pointsBolted it down but loosely. Still need to get throttle cable and throttle linkage. Need to get new belts. I never had the deck belt so I dont know the size. Not sure I want to mount the deck to even measure. I cant really work or go anywhere I have people painting my house. Cant wait to get this running. Been a long time since this machine was moving under its own power. So Close.

3 pointsYou did good on the first one pictured. It is a true garden tractor wit a good horizontal shaft engine. The second one with the verticals shaft engine is not built as heavy duty, but is a good riding mover...not a garden tractor. You did fair on it for a mower

3 points@Andy N. your kid’s got quite the muscles for eating salad all day! Any protein in their diet, or are they veggies only?

3 pointsI highly recommend @richmondred01 I put one of his rebuilt 16hp Kohler's in my C-160, and it runs great.

3 pointsYou did fine at that price. There are more and less expensive ones around. You have a nice example with very low hours. Like @ZXT says, look at what a new cheapo costs and how long the expected life is. Seriously... 3 to 5 years. Wheelhorses are a PERMANENT purchase. They are not a toss away. You have done well and should be very happy and proud to own that machine.
-
3 pointsSounds like a lot on the surface, but it isn't when compared to what a comparable new "mower" would cost. I think you got a good deal. At 130 hours it is almost new. I wouldn't sell it back. I've sold things in the past and had a little remorse, but you just have to deal with it and move on. It's not like there aren't any other WH's out there that he could buy.

3 pointsMy wife is allergic to everything with fur so we have a rhinoceros iguana (Cyclura Cornuta). The cyclura iguanas are different than the green iguanas. They are commonly called rock iguanas since they are more terrestrial than the greens and hang out in the rocky jungles of the West Indies. Here's pics of our rhino Sterling. She is almost 4 years old, 13 lbs, and about 4 ft long (including tail). IMG_1013.mp4 IMG_1003.mp4

3 pointsI sent the guy a message that i am not selling it as of right now, but if i change my mind he will be the first to know. Also i never listed what i paid. I don't know if i paid to much or not but i bought it for 1100. Again its an 07 60th edition with 42RD deck and 130 hours. Good price?

3 pointsMy late 80's paint held up really well. It was the maroon stripe that didnt. Replaced the maroon with a custom black set from @Vinylguy . Never was a fan of the maroon.

2 pointsFor the past 10 years I have driven past a Dunk the clown set up as used at Fairs about 5 miles down the road from our house. I have wanted to stop in and ask if it were for sale as it sits in the yard overgrown with weeds and tall grass but in the 10 years I have never ever seen anyone out of the house in the yard which seems strange and afraid if I knock on the door a clown in full dress and make up may answer the door and I may freak out like a little kid at the circus. Anyway, I was thinking maybe next year at the Meet & Greet in N.Berwick Maine because of the situation, we are planning to still have it this September. My question is do any of you members here have any idea who may make a good candidate to sit in the chair in full dress and go for a few dunks, do we have anyone willing to volunteer. Do we have any Clowns here up for the Challenge ?

2 pointsYou left out a step: either too hot or too cold....slow feed,,,,fast feed....hit it with a hammer, did the weld break? No?...awwww forget it. Send it out

2 pointsLack of sleep had been catching up on the last few days so progress has been slow, however constructed one of the hydraulic rams for the boom this evening. It's quite realistic, although the tolerances are not great. Once it's all painted nobody will realise how crappy the workmanship is! Doing everything by hand trying to be quiet with thirty people asleep all around you makes it challenging....

2 pointsYou did pretty well but there wont be many parts that will cross over from one to another. Welcome to Red Square ! Everyone here is willing to answer any questions you might have or help you with selling or buying more !! Most of us here buy more and sell less. They tend to grow on you. Hope your friend has a large barn. Welcome and great score.

2 pointsJohn, will do. I have a mentor named John from Clinton Corners. Small world.
