10 pointsDay one on the Delaware Bay. Our home for the week. Got some crab pots set. Social distance is around two mile on our beach. This salt water really makes your teeth shine.

7 pointsThe attached sheet of information indicates Wheel Horse built 300 754 garden tractors using 7 HP electric start motors (like the 753 models with starter/generators) on 854 frames and sold them as a special in May 1964. The original price was $614.95. This is from the six state midwestern distributor Radio Equipment Company of Indianapolis, Indiana records .

7 pointsSince our town didn't have any 4th of July activities, we held our own small parade up and down our private road. Began by washing the fleet All clean and tidy Making preparations, flags mounted Riders ready to go After the parade we parked them up by the road Flags flying in the breeze Later we had a bonfire with my brother's family and one of our neighbors spent a bunch of money and put on a pretty decent fireworks show. God bless America!

6 pointsI would like to share this with anyone who would like to learn more about this great country of ours. It's a newsletter that I subscribe to. It is a great source of information about the history of the founding of this country, and more. Since yesterday was the 4th of July, it reminded me to pass it on. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Here are a couple of links to the last couple of messages: https://myemail.constantcontact.com/Independence-Day--GREATEST-REVOLUTION-----IN-WORLD-S-HISTORY--Reagan.html?soid=1108762609255&aid=W3lj_7FjAaI https://myemail.constantcontact.com/50-years-after-the-Declaration-of-Independence--Jefferson---Adams.html?soid=1108762609255&aid=SP3_KI2HDMA

5 pointsHi! Just bought a commando 8 with trailer, snowblower and mower deck. This is Norway and I have a little field and dirt road to keep in good condition. I have not yet received it but I am looking for general information about it. 1. It would be good with lighting for winter snowblowing. It doesn't originally have headlights at the front? I have seen some rear mounted option. 2. This tractor and some others have a missing diagonal sitting cover on the engine on left side. What is this and what does it mean if it is missing? 3. If I want a plough for it, am I restricted to wheel horse ploughs or do other ploughs work? The same regarding tillers. 4. I see some mention of Toro making accessories. Do they make anything that fits the commando 8? Thank you!

5 pointsYugo! The Suburban has a max trailering package, rated at 8,000 lbs. I had an ‘01 crew cab 4x4 Powerstroke that came across the scales at 7450, this is an extended cab 2wd and I assume it to be in the 6500-7,000 range. We don’t expect to make any land speed records on the trip home, just constant progress at any speed we feel is comfortable.

4 pointsIn 8 hours, I’ll wake up and pack up the gear from camping this weekend, fill up the chicken and cat food and water and the family and I are heading to Dallas Fort Worth. We plan to be back in Michigan Tuesday night. We hope for safe travels and no forsaken road blocks. The dolly is greased up, tire pressures at 50 psi as recommended and we have roadside stuff in a pile to be loaded before we go. Here we come Norman Jr! Thanks in advance for your engine and other goodies to make Norman purr cool again!

4 pointsI thought that I would share a few pics from our holiday weekend. We kind of decided to let Sophi be our guide for the weekend, so I'll start with a picture of her in her favorite spot in the boat. Up on the bow showing the way & watching for danger. She has enough experience in the boat to know when it is safe to take up this spot, in rough water or as soon as she hears the engine start she will move to the lowest level of the boat. It was really hot out so she also got dunked in the water a time or two. I'm not a big fan of raking the lawn, but I am a huge fan of raking the lake. Here is our spread of 6 lines trolling at about 1.7mph. I can comfortably run 9 lines in my boat but unfortunately Sophi does not count as a licensed fisherman. Being a gentleman I let my wife Gretel take the first strike, her reward was a fair sized white bass. Gretel also brought in the nicest catch, stupid phone camera decided that the moment was not worth capturing. I noticed this fact later and took a pic before I cleaned the fish up. A 19" walleye, on the high end of the slot limit for the lake that we were on. Sophi is pretty good at following along on a walk with out a leash. When we went for early evening walk she insisted that we follow her for a bit. She took us to the beach & sat down as to say "check this out Mom & Dad" She lead us to a really great view to end the day. We had a great weekend. Sorry @pullstart, things went well so Radpferd still has a home. The worst thing that happened was a loss of balance by Gretel resulting in me having a hook buried in my thumb and nothing strong enough in the boat to cut the barb off of the hook. We each put 3 more fish in the boat before she insisted that we go in and get the lure out of my thumb. Hope everyone had a good holiday.

4 pointsHopefully you turned him on to RS Mac... Put @Racinbob's not so patented speed pullies on the 1055. She's a screamer now..I is sceered! Transmission is a bit noisyer now so may have to tune it back a bit. But looking back at what I started no surprise. Also painted up a set of wide Cub style rims Kev give me for some V-61's for her.

4 pointsSorry to see it go. Had a buyer come from 2 hrs away to buy the C-161 today. I did well on it. He is happy, I am happy. Got room to breathe in the garage again. He is not a member here but a Wheel Horse fan. Hope it treats him well.

4 pointsThe guy driving the Farmall 1206 is a good friend of mine. He has around 40 meticulously restored Farmalls and IH’s and a beautiful farm. He asked me if I would drive one in next years parade, of course I said YES! I’ve been driving fire trucks in the parade for many years but never drove a tractor in it so I’m already looking forward to that. He said that he wants to get enough trustworthy people to take all of his tractors in next years parade and then drive them back to the farm, put them in a big circle and have a BBQ in the middle! I think I’m going to ask him if I can load up a few of my Wheel Horses on a trailer and tow it in the parade. I’m sure he will say yes because he’s well aware of my Wheel Horse addiction! My son in law offered up his smoker for the BBQ and of course offered to drive a tractor! Here’s his smoker and a couple of my tractors.

4 pointsWell, the plan is to go through it and get everything buttoned up and starting easier. When we’re done, I’m going to build a cart for it so that we can move it around when we want to take it to shows. We’re thinking about pulling it with one of my big horses like the D160. It’s fun to plan and think about what we might do with it. Ended up being a really great weekend for us four guys!
-
4 pointsAt least it's stored indoors. Jack it up ans set it on wood blocks to preserve the tires for the day he will sell it.
-
4 pointsI picked up 2 snowblowers and a Tiller. All 3 came with owners manuals. The plan is to fit them up to the C-145. I’m unsure if I am going to keep the short chute. This all my sons doing. He is the driving force for “most” of this WheelHorse stuff....

3 pointsPicked up another one yesterday morning for a steal! Threw a battery in, replaced fuel pump that was included in the deal, oil change, reset the points (they were gapped at about .080, not sure how it even ran!) and put her right to grass duty! As a bonus, we took a neighborhood ‘booze cruise’ and it ran perfect all night!

-
3 pointsWhich model of Wheel Horse are you putting that engine in, Dells? Going to outdo Eric and Colossus?
-
3 pointsYou can load my Speedanza in the back of the truck on the way back from Texas, just take a small detour ! Safe travels.
-
3 pointsAwesome! That looks like a fun project! With Stefan’s 656 gone, my barn is feeling a little empty of tractors !
-
3 pointsWe finished up the show with a great meal we grilled out (bbq chicken, corn, veggies, and fried potatoes) and made a last minute purchase - a 1950’s Wisconsin V4D engine. We split the cost of $100 for this find and it runs! Heading home in the morning with our goodies!

3 pointsWho knew? Found the factory correct... square seat pan... in inventory here today!
-
3 pointsMowed my new yard with my “new” 417-12A. Awesome cut till the PTO spud bearing let go. Just a small glitch to contend with. Yes the seat leans backwards. It’s on a gt14 mounting plate till I get a new seat. Actually very comfortable though
-
3 pointsRims got color corrected today. FYI...antique white rims matter!
-
3 pointsI need some help from by Dodge buddies...saw this AWESOME Power Wagon when I was out for dinner the other night...what year is this beast and what powerplants would it have likely had stock?
-
2 pointsI got that down pat Plunge... I got a HF mini changer, best 40 Washingtons ever spent BTW, I took a piece of pex and heated it up and slit it with a box cutter and use that for a rim guard when peeling them on.
-
2 pointsyou've found yourself a very capable little tractor, I have 2 of them, and there are many attachments for it as well
-
2 pointsOk yes, I have asked the seller about that. They said they have it. I didn't realize it was that important though! I will make sure it is there. I guess I can mount a light on there somewhere with little modifications. It's not exactly original colour as you can see...so might be a project after a while to get it up to spec.
-
2 pointsSo.. your thinking about 1st or 2nd gear low range on a WH...? Maybe 1 - 2 MPH if the wind is to the rear? Remember - You need to factor in the weight of the Ho Ho's...

2 pointsI was thinking that too. Although.....to readjust and set, the engine will have to be removed. I'm probably going to get her back in and give it a try in a couple days.

2 pointsPulled it out to mow a tiny section of grass that i always miss cause my tow truck is parked in the way. Hopped on the tractor with an ice coffee in my left hand. Went to put in on the footrest while i released the brake and lowered the deck. Then i realized i have a cupholder 😎 definitely something to appreciate compared to my old mower
