Here is a picture of my Grandson Vincent. He is my buddy and we do a lot together. We normally go the library every Wed for story time, but the library is closed and we haven't really seen the grandkids much in the last few weeks. Everyone is trying to be safe. I picked him up and we went to McDonalds to get him favorite, sausage Mcgriddle with chocolate milk. We read the Missouri Dept. of Conservation Xplorer magazind and kicked the soccer ball around a bit, then built a little bonfire at the shop and roasted marshmellows. We had to drive the 310-8 around awhile too. He really makes raising his pain in the ass Dad worth it!! I joke, but his Dad was not an easy kid to raise!! He has a little sister too and she is almost walking now.

Hi all. Just wondered what you had been up to today. I planned to do some tractor work BUT... A collapsed sewer pipe had other ideas. Spent time digging out the blocked sewage to find the problem. Then dug out the damaged pipes and effected a repair. Just ran out of time to backfill and make good. But that's for tomorrow. this is the new pipework which replaces the damaged Y piece that had collapsed. Never wished my sense of smell could take a holiday as much lol. Mick

Ok guys, the tractor has been getting a fair amount of my time. I plan on working it this summer so quite a few things needed to be done to ready it. Replaced the axle seals last week, installed a new PTO drive belt for the mower deck & fluid changes. The deck mows well but I will be replacing the belt driving the spindles. Installed a pair ofcdeck support wheels and a new gas cap/ fuel gauge assm. As promised, here are a couple pics of it, pretty much as I bought it.

Some years back a good friend of mine who is a Parishioner at St.Leo The Great Catholic Church in Bonita Springs, Florida asked me to help in designing and building these units for the Stations of the Cross. They are made out of clear Cedar the backs being white 1/4" Corian. The images are solid bronze and were imported from Germany. He donated the wood and I donated my labor. Once completed he took them down and installed them. He still does all the maintenance on them. He had a brick made in honor of mine and Wife's family deceased.There was one extra one that is here housing Wife's angel.

I did a little more “blinging” on my “Black Horse”. I think I’m finally finished with it. (For now, anyways) I especially like how the GT-14 air cleaner turned out with a 6” WH front hubcap on it. i had to cut lip off the back of it, but left 4 “tabs that I bent then siliconed it to the cover.

Hard act to follow after @Bear G beautiful piece of work. This one too is a custom build. Ummm lets just say the quality of the build isnt in the same ballpark but a Steam Punk, Rat Rod piece of art in its own way. His is the Beauty and mine is the Beast.

Been dragging this one for the last few years. Time for a new custom build

It’s looking like most of our spring shows will be canceled due to the virus. :(( Maybe even the summer shows. I worked all winter getting this years line up ready to take to the shows. Let’s (at least) have a virtual “on line” show. Please post pics of what you had planned to take to the shows this year.. Please post your own tractors. My collection is mostly Custom Modified. Here is my line up for this year. I Will miss seeing all my friends even more than I’ll miss seeing the tractors. :(( Please post pics?!?! Even if it’s only one.

I know , thought I had smelled some stuff in my time but this was off the scale lol. Least I can relax now knowing there will be no more releases from there for a while. Mick

This truck is like a member of the family. I've had it for 23 years. I drove it until my oldest son got his license and he took it away from me. He and his brother and most of their friends drove and abused it for years then I got it back. It's my go to work truck and still the most comfortable vehicle I own even with 260k miles on it. This is the only new vehicle I have ever owned 07 5.9 Cummins with 6 speed. It has 270k miles on it now so I limit how much it gets driven these days, but still fun to drive I built this as a toy, but now it's my daily driver. I have some tractors loaded here for an antique equipment show.

Wow... where do I even start here.... BTW guy I have been in the HVAC trade for 50+ years or so now so have an inkling of what's going on. I have done everything from large commercial/industrial to residential which is wher I prefer to be now. I have also taught HVAC in a tech school setting. First off start low but aim high. You get your teeth cut..pay can be as much as you demand you apply yourself. Techs in my field are very hard to find and you go to war for your employer you can write out your own ticket. As Sparkeye mentioned also I cut my teeth working at EB/GD. You need to very mechanically minded and way above average with electrical skills. Communication skills are a huge plus. Ability to read, and write, wiring diagrams is an ace in your hole as well as reading blue prints you get into new construction. As Ollie said the down side is possibly having to be on call but again you have the mettle the $$ can be huge. Be advised work in this trade can result in being an apprentice for a few years but then look out. A good journeyman can make as much $$ as a doctor or lawyer.... no fooling. Like I said it's all about applying yourself, willingness to learn and your work ethnic. You got those the sky's the limit. Also be advised this trade in the big city is not for the faint at heart and often comes with working in adverse condtions but again $$.

Maybe that helps...😂 Try today to start a new Project, even i seeing some Clouds upcomeing, I organized a 28Gallon Tank for the „Wet Horse Trailer“ Project. But when i unloaded this thing from the Car It begin‘s to Rain. Naaaaaahhh - So the Weather doesn‘t allow me today go ahead with that Project. So i just can start by plumbing few Fittings at home on it for draining. The rest of the Work must wait, if better Weather occur‘s. Hopefully quick.

I really appreciate it.... I've got 3 horses now.... 1 B-80 a C160 and this C101. One for mowing, one for snowplowing and the other one... a toy but possibly for my son in law.... he's tired of push mowing. None of them is pretty but I use them for work... and with steel cowls, steel fenders pans etc, cast iron motor and trans and angle iron frame... God Bless American Made equipment! I did find the seals (I hope) in the Wheelhorse store. thanks.

I've always had trucks too. Theses are two of the first of six Fords I had over the years: This was a 78 Ford 150, 351, auto. Was brown and tan originally. I worked at a body shop at the time so I replaced the bed and repainted it. I forget what year this truck was. It was a straight six, four speed

Lol you know how it goes … first the tin knockers get on the job, they got the biggest stuff, then the plumbers, lastly the electricians... they got the littlest junk! Seriously the thing about any of the trades is all the branches off that you can get into.... building controls, pipe fitting, estimating, fabrication, maintenance heck even crashing submarine trainers!

Though I'm not terribly familiar with the HVAC trade, I do know that those stinkin' guys will go out of their way to put a vent right smack where I need to put a light box I got into the electrical trade, working for a friends dad while I was in college because he was flexible and let me take off any time I needed to for school work. 3 years later, and a year after getting my bachelors, I'm still working for him.. I need to find another job.. Wouldn't be so bad, but It's a very small company so I don't make much.

My dad does HVAC for a living and he likes it. Money is good and he is on call one week per month, but the guys can trade weeks around if they want to accommodate vacations etc. He works hard so be prepared for that. In my neck of the woods there are all kinds of HVAC jobs available as young people want nothing to do with it. I'm one to talk though.....dad always told me to go to college so I didn't have to work like him so I did and got a degree in something you can actually use and I don't have to work like he does, but I'm rambling now.... Overall I would tell you to go for it, I think you'll find it rewarding and once you get experience the sky is the limit. Did I also mention that doing residential HVAC work gets you in a lot of people's garages and that means you fall into a lot of deals on horses!

Mick, that’s no fun. Been there, done that... two weeks into my first home ownership! I set a toilet yesterday for a friend. I can say the word poop on the phone and he’s dry heaving. I don’t understand... after it’s gotten onto that side of the drain, it all smells the same

When it gets hot out refrigeration equipment is under it's heaviest load and more prone to breakdown. Get ready to be very busy. A food service business with a broken cooler is a panic situation. Used to look forward to fall.

Fresh out of high school in the mid 70's I applied for a spot in the electrical apprenticeship in which only 15 would be accepted. I got in and all my buddies wondered why I wanted in. The starting pay was only 40% of the journeyman pay and they were making more in their factory jobs plus they didn't have to go to school every week. With the guaranteed (as long as you did your job) pay increases every 6 months it was less than 2 years before almost everyone of those guys were trying to get into the apprenticeship in the trade of their choice. Only one of them made it (noisy tin knocker...……) and I just happened to be talking to him yesterday and for some reason those times in the 70's were brought up. We are both comfortably retired now and can thank the trades for that. Well, sorta. The trades offer the means but only if you do your part. The trades don't 'give' you anything. Like the others have said, you can't go wrong with any of the trades as long as you do your part. I would also suggest industrial/commercial but certainly wouldn't shy away from residential. In this day the younger generation seem to think that working with your hands is beneath them so instead of only 15 out of a couple hundred applicants getting in you should be able to pick and choose which trade you want. I say go for it, do your part and you will be rewarded with a very solid career. One thing that will happen though, more so in some of the trades, are calls from buddies needing help. Yea, that tin knocker had an electrical issue.

@JCM... My original front weight hanger/bumper turned into my rear weight hanger to my new heavy duty weight hanger/bumpers there's at least 3 RS members have one of these... (@PeacemakerJack @cschannuth and the 3rd member I can't recall bought the 520 engraved version 5 years ago) anyways I felt I needed the extra weight out front with the heavy rear clevis hitch attachments and tiller so the original was something my dad had laying around and I made work in the front like a mule drive or snow blower as well as my new style... Then I just made to uprights to make it work on the rear for 2 stage counterbalance... Then the rear sleeve hitch carry all not my idea but Craftsman's that I fabbed up myself.
