I put these LED lights in my Raider 12, first is a picture with just the lights, then it didn't look right to me without a lens so I made a lens with plexiglass just to see if it would work. I'll be doing a better job with the lens shortly when I have more time.

Spotted on a local Craigslist a GT1848 it appears to have been worked and the engine is absent. Every thing appears here but the (tire) and the belt guard. Are these similar to the 400 series? I plan to meet the guy on the weekend he will take a $100. I have a good K301S I would drop in and many C-series parts on hand. Anything in particular to check since I can't test the hydro?

One problem with this thread this early. Lots of good things will get buried by pages upon pages by the time the show hits. BE SURE TO CHECK ALL THE WAY BACK!!

I used one similar to this on Skittles for a grounding lug. Straight from the battery post to the lug. Works great.

So i have had a ton of folks ask me about the steering wheel puller i have that was my late dads. I have used it but only once dad used it many times. It is a pretty slick deal. I dont know who he got it from unfortunately. It was from a friend of his who made it. I have a video of it on my Youtube channel. I will see about getting a drawing and measurements of it soon and i will pass it along.

Tractor did not have a seat back on it. I like the look of it on those older tractors. I found a piece of spring steel an decided to try and make one up. I put a fuller in the middle to help it flex without taking a bend. I cut a back out of 14 gauge .125 thick steel. Drilled an dimpled the bolt holes. Any suggestions from those that have been there done that? Here are a couple of pic of the progress so far.

Spent a good part of today accomplishing nothing. Seemed like every time I turned around I needed something or I had forgotten to paint something or I had lost something. Did get the dash, steering, and gas tank installed. For some dumb reason I didn't paint the running boards. Needed more paint. Lost the half moon key for the input pulley on the transmission and it happened to be one size that I didn't have. Couldn't get the pulley off of the parts tractor. Now if I can figure out where all the springs go I have laying around I'll have it made. Might even get a couple decals on before pictures.

Picked up a new toy for one of my tractors. Guy said it was a wheelhorse but I find it to be a Simplicity. Happy anyways for $80

Thought I would share some pictures I took yesterday while helping my friend Rodger dig out some tractor parts out of the back of his shed. He has a pretty nice collection of Deere and Farmall tractors, including one of each of the letter series Farmalls. Not pictured here are his Farmall A (in the garage at his house), his working Farmall B that he mows with, or his John Deere R (currently a couple towns over being put back together) I always enjoy spending time with Rodger, a couple years back he lost both legs to diabetes, but still enjoys getting out and messing with the tractors, and I really enjoy helping him with them as well Here is his unrestored 720, and a glimpse of the B he mows with in the backround Here is the two seater BN he takes his grandkids on in parades, in the background of the first pic you can see his 3010 we are in the process of putting back together as well Farmall M as well as his restored 720 Another shot of the BN, as well as the Super C and the Regular in the back This restored H is his pride and joy. Before his health started declining he and his wife took this tractor to Nebraska every year for the Great Nebraska Tractor Ride This little Cub has always been another one of my favorites, we have talked several times about the possibility of me purchasing this tractor, but have never struck a deal on it. In the background is an unrestored 730 The oldest (and probably coolest) tractor in his collection, a Farmall Regular Putting the 720 back in the shed, here you can also see a better shot of the B All put away again

Went by the local Rural King and they had the -20 Windshield Washer fluid for $1.49 per gallon so I brought home eight gallons. Already had two gallons from when I added fluid to my turf tires this winter. Added 5 gallons per rear tire by using the self filling tire suction method. Posting this as a reminder to anyone that needs ballast now is the time to look for the reduced price -20 Windshield Washer fluid. Cost per tire is less than $8.50 if using around 40 pounds per tire.

Thought I'd get this party started. Who's got what to fit in the catagories above for the BS in June? I'll be looking for a short frame snow plow.

I wont be letting her go anytime soon. She has asked me to point out she was not working in her slippers. I know you guys like health and safety She had just popped in to make a brew and I called her to take a photo. She helped me lift the 3.5 m girder in too this afternoon. Beautiful and not scared to get stuck in. I'm blessed with her

I've had G&M crab cakes. They are good. However, if you are ever in my neck of the woods, try the Rocksalt Grille in Westminster, MD. Two 10 ounce, all jumbo lump crab cakes with two sides for $32.00. You can't even buy that much crab meat for that price.

If it turns over buy it, it will run. If it don't turn over then you're taking a chance. If it does turn over the first thing that I would do (after changing the oil) is cut the points wire off and replace the original coil with an solid state coil, part #398811 or after market equivalent. This coil will have to be installed opposite of the directions on the coil, or put it on backwards. Then rebuild or replace the carb. Those cast iron Briggs are tough engines. Hopefully it will work out for you.

Thanks for the offer Eric. I did find a photo on the net last night that showed where the spring went. I was completely on the wrong side of the tractor. If I need anything else I will let you know and thanks again.

Nice to see I ain't the only one to operate on the dining table @Lane Ranger! I have found that a really good ground is needed for leds to prevent flickering.

I have a similar Columbian vise. it's a nice general duty vise. I ended up "stretching" the threaded shaft that operates the jaw :( good thing I work in a machine shop. I was able to re-machine the thread so it works again. Broke a big ol' honking ATHOL vise too. was a little too aggressive with a BFH! that one bothered me because it was my Dads' vise the vise that's mounted on my bench currently is a very old Craftsman from when they were top of the line. serious mass of metal in that one

We had a few of those at work I rebuilt one so parts are still available I replaced the jaw inserts and the main thread screws Worked like new after that.

To be accurate for legal reasons she REALLY Needs an actual appraisal company to come see it. Inheritance or insurance reasons and values are typically higher than what an item is worth on a private sale. That's an exceptionally nice one from outside appearances an that will ad value. I'd highly recommend calling someone like Auman Auction and several other places that specialize in tractors and agricultural equipment.

Was able to get the tank sandblasted and primed today. Started fixing the hood too. Welded up some unwanted river holes and stress cracks.. ran in to little rust that needs cut out and replaced too nothing to major. Will try and snap some pictures of the hood when I get to work tomorrow!

So, it's been a great day. I did some work on the pole building, getting ready for concrete. Then I resumed work on my bathroom project. Insulated and hung drywall. I had my birthday dinner on Sunday, (Maryland Jumbo Lump Crabcakes) but still had a couple of pieces of Smith Island cake left. Thanks to everyone for all the Birthday wishes.

Best bit of my day? Chasing down and dragging a nuisance motor bike rider off his machine in the park. I gave him such a mouthful too. We try to make things better and these idiots destroy it. This guy was in his 30s on a field bike and this 55 year old fart still beat him hands down! Made him wheel it out the park and never return lol. Minor victory but feels good. Mick

Hey guys, 30 years as a cop and I've seen some pretty formidable defences breached. If these idiots worked a real job they would do well for themselves. Watched a bunch of thieves stealing wood from a building site on our road last night. In the teeth of a gale, pouring with rain, pitch black and still they did it. Police did not arrive despite 999 call to a crime in progress. Day off home work today, put up a sign in the local park where I volunteer.

That is one nice tractor, I'm not to knowledgeable on the D,s , but I would like one. I keep track of what they bring around my area.that tractor alone is 2500, maybe 3000 tops to the right person. It's worth more, but not a lot of people seem to want to pay more. If all the other attachments are as good, depending on what they are, could be anther 2000. Inheritance wise, if it's tax reasons lower, if dividing up inheritance I think the amount I gave is fair. If you have a chance to get it don't pass it up!

Did you remove the paint from the point where the ground wire connects to the engine block?
