16 pointsI remember recently a RS member needed help to bring a tractor from Mass to Maine and for me it was a very positive experience I believe for the both of us. Amazing when 2 people are upfront and honest with each other how things run smoothly and develop into hopefully a life long friendship. I just wish this World still operated on this basic old school system that WORKS,we would all be better off because of it. Have a great Sunday all.

15 pointsDon't ya love it when you ask someone to do something and they do that... And then something else.... @WHX24 and/or @Achto Just wanted to say a forum public THANKS for the work on the hubs I sent out. They look great !! And Colossus will be very happy to use them. Pretty awesome how a bunch of folks around the country/world take such great care of each other and their machines.

11 pointsI belong to a local auction group on Facebook, mostly just to see what kind of junk people are getting rid of, but once in a while something cool comes up, as was the case this past week when I stumbled across this hood for my 701 project. Starting bid was only $5 so I bid on it, had the high bid for 4 days at $9, but got in a last minute bidding war with another guy, and ended up winning it for $32.

10 pointsSunday afternoon drive!! The whole family! I was videoing! The RJ and the 753 was from our Arkansas trip and they are wonderful... we drove for about 2 hours! It was great! I was driving the 753 with our oldest on the cart behind me! Husband was on the 854 pulling the wagon with our youngest. Our son was on the RJ but our youngest was driving the wheels off the RJ earlier! IMG_8288.MOV IMG_8295.MOV

8 points@JCM ... I'm sorry you had to be subjected to "me" for that many hours in a row. Good to hear your psychological recovery is going well.

7 pointsOk, I figure I’d better off do a restoration on this deck, because it’s in relatively good shape. I took the spindle bearings into my dads machine shop... I haven’t worked on them yet! What to do with the bottom surface of the deck...well it’s covered with surface rust, I sanded it down and used CRC rust converter.... this stuff is the best!! What you do is you paint it on (3x and you can’t get it off with a hammer👍😁) that’s it! Now I just have to wait until it dries... which in a unheated garage at about 45 degrees outside...it may take a while!

6 pointsThought I would share some pictures I took yesterday while helping my friend Rodger dig out some tractor parts out of the back of his shed. He has a pretty nice collection of Deere and Farmall tractors, including one of each of the letter series Farmalls. Not pictured here are his Farmall A (in the garage at his house), his working Farmall B that he mows with, or his John Deere R (currently a couple towns over being put back together) I always enjoy spending time with Rodger, a couple years back he lost both legs to diabetes, but still enjoys getting out and messing with the tractors, and I really enjoy helping him with them as well Here is his unrestored 720, and a glimpse of the B he mows with in the backround Here is the two seater BN he takes his grandkids on in parades, in the background of the first pic you can see his 3010 we are in the process of putting back together as well Farmall M as well as his restored 720 Another shot of the BN, as well as the Super C and the Regular in the back This restored H is his pride and joy. Before his health started declining he and his wife took this tractor to Nebraska every year for the Great Nebraska Tractor Ride This little Cub has always been another one of my favorites, we have talked several times about the possibility of me purchasing this tractor, but have never struck a deal on it. In the background is an unrestored 730 The oldest (and probably coolest) tractor in his collection, a Farmall Regular Putting the 720 back in the shed, here you can also see a better shot of the B All put away again

6 pointsWell I got her home. Got a little work cut out for myself but I hope to have her running on her own later today. Going to go get a new belt for it. Starter generator to flywheel. I may have one but I need to organize my belts there everywhere. LOL If anyone has any advice on the deck for this 856 weather to just deal with the wrong one on it. Or if someone wants to trade me for the correct one. I'm in avilla Indiana. It hits the rear tires when raised all the way. It's the wrong one I'm pretty sure. Check out my Facebook I have a video on there I will post my video on my YouTube channel as well.

6 pointsI agree 100%, that is one of my favorite things about this place. We are all one big group with a common interest, and everyone is always more than willing to help out a member in need. I have witnessed this many times here, and it makes me proud to be a member of this great forum.

5 pointsFor my 70th birthday (coming up on Tuesday), my son and his family gave me a surprise road trip. Here is a picture. As soon as the right answer is given, we will move on to the next destination. Where am I?

5 pointsI went out to trusty old 310-8 to plow snow last week. Hadn't needed to all winter so of course my battery was dead. Battery was over 10 years old and would not take a charge so I figured a bad cell. Went to the store and got a new one. Started plowing and about 20 minutes in I suddenly stop moving! Lo and behold my drive belt gave out. So off to the store again (82 inch x 5/8) and then back home with my new belt and a Twix bar. Take half the darn thing apart to get the belt off. While I was at it I took the drive pulley off the shaft and did some "repairs" to it since it had a good sized ding on it. Put it all back together so I could finish plowing. First time it ever took me 7 hours to clear my driveway lol.

4 pointsI took on a new sort of build this winter to improve and repair our clubs Existing pulling sled. The sled was becoming tired from years of use. So I will post up photos as I go along with the story. Here is what I started out with for a sled. Then much cutting and many hours of fab work and welding. Enjoy

4 pointsI know it’s been a little while since I posted anything but I’m finally done with my EZ Rake. I had the pulley shaft and bearing assembly together then clear coated it and the red crinkled so I had to disassemble it. In doing so I gouged the black paint on the shaft so I glass beaded everything down to bare metal again and repainted it. Upon reassembly I managed to scratch the red bracket. Not too bad but I had to touch it up and guess what? It crinkled 😡So back apart again! And start over. Third time was a charm and I decided not to clear coat any of it. Since I know how much you guys like pictures I took a bunch. Thanks to Terry for the awesome decals! Hope everyone likes it, I’m going to bring it to the Big Show this year.

4 pointsYou’re right when you say this place is full of friendly people. Seems that not so friendly people don’t last long around here!! I’m happy to say that one day I’ll probably inherit a Bronco 14 with a loader! I’m not rushing it though because the gentleman that owns it is as nice as they get. I love Clara in the picture, maybe someone should start a thread with dogs and horses!

4 pointsDeck is correct. Maybe hung wrong or wrong tires. I put 6-12 Town & Country's on my 857. Looks better IMHO
-
4 pointsJust a little more tinkering tonight. I made covers for the belt and brake setup where they protrude into the tub. I also made an aluminum panel to cover some of the backed dash and drilled a place to mount the ignition switch. Here’s also a pic of the choke, throttle, and steering pin.

3 pointsAfternoon, every1. Life being kind of topsy-turvy for yours truly these days, ive been spending a fair bit of time here in the Square. Keeps my mind occupied, n helps my mood. I like the builds n knowledge, to be sure...but the comradery and overall friendliness of y'all...thats what i see when i read. And it helps alot, these days. And at any rate, i just thought id try n start a thread dedicated to the Bronco 14Auto. See if there are more stories n pics out there, as pertains to this machine, since it is/was the one that really got me involved here. See...i see lots of pics of the Elecros, Chargers, etc, and many threads for them...but i get the feeling the Bronco is kind of an odd duck...? I dunno, i just dont see much written, or pics, pertaining solely to them. And not just here, but on the 'net in general. And believe me, ive spent hrs looking these last few months, lol. I read somewhere once, that when it was introduced, it was WH's top of the line in '71. Guess im just wondering what kind of a following it may have... At the moment, i dont have any recent pics, or action shots. Im hoping thatll change and memories will be made with mine, but for now, here's one i like...just cuz Clara adds to it😊 Hope everyone has a great day, n thanks for listening to my ramblings...i am sure im a Horse-Aholic. And im glad😊 (Honestly been resarching 1054s...the next quest? Maybe...)

3 pointsMade up the braces for the rear of the frame where it bolts to the adapter. Still some holes to drill then bolt em in place.

3 pointsJust wanted to share the progress and details of the devastation that has hit our city here in Tennessee. Nashville has seen its share of disasters In the recent years. With the great flood of 2010 which l had a big part in the community and now with the recent chaos to the Tornado in 1998 down town. I Just heard that there was a total of 10 reported tornadoes in and around Nashville on Tuesday. We are truly the volunteer state. People helping people and this makes us Tennessee strong!!

3 pointsAs an update. I did a google search of Dennis in Peru, NY. It came up with information on a hardware store and as a breeder of labrador retrievers. I just wrote an email to to dog breeder website to ask about Dennis and his connection to it. I didnt mean to raise a rukus. Lets see if they reply to me. I will keep you posted. If anyone else want to look, please do. I think he was involved in a hardware store. There is one picture of him as a breeder and it sure looks like Dennis. Glenn

-
2 pointsNice package, I would think around $2000,00 if it as nice as he says, that's low hours for that tractor.
-
2 pointsThe 520-H is a great tractor although the wiring is a bit complicated compared to a 300 or 400 series of the same vintage, be sure to look it over good and check it out to the best of your ability and Good Luck.
