7 pointsWell the grandsons and I spent some time in the shop Sunday. Work started out with their workbench and working on their toy truck. Work quickly progressed to working on my C160 @dells68 this crew will be available to put the custom touches on your tub cart as soon as their through customizing my C160 PS I suspect their might be a pink tractor in my future. Were told our 1st granddaughter is on the way!

5 pointsHad one of our regular customers bring his grandsons pickup in the shop yesterday afternoon with the complaint of no brakes...said the kid told him it just started making a weird noise the day before and then no brakes the next day...pulled it all apart this morning to find this

4 points$200? That’s one of those RUN DON’T WALK DON’T EAT DON’T SLEEP JUST GO kinda deals Sounds like you have plenty of big block Kohlers to stick in place if that twin if it gives you any guff...
-
4 points@Cvans Since the Valspar IH red has gone away it seems most are using Rustoleum Regal Red and some like the Sunrise Red, just my observations. Whatever you choose good luck with your project.

3 pointsWell they say that 3rd time is a charm. This is the 3rd seat I have thought about putting on it. I'm sticking with it. As ornate as it is, it looks older than the others. I think it will make the tractor look older seeings how the Speedex is quite basic looking to begin with.

3 pointsThe 4 wheel drums on the Model A are better then the joke old Henry passed off as F150 brakes in 1985..
-
3 pointsThat is the optional inner pad wear saving design. The inner rotor doesn't rotate under normal braking. During panic stops, the two rotor halves engage for emergency stopping. Standard equipment on all new 2020 trucks.

3 pointsBuilder called thus morning, he can make a start next week. Steel bought for door opening so we can cut that and gain access. Building control notice arrived so approval given. Away we go people, I'm in the construction business lol. Mick

3 pointsOnly have a fridge in garage..... none in the shop. That keeps the sidewalk supervisors away, or they bring some refreshments. I do offer warm bottles of water. There is a price to watch me work.

3 pointsI mounted my new 6-12 Carlisle 6 ply ag tires and fitted the hood and fenders on, I have a lot of little things to do still but I am sure liking how it is coming back together. I have a picture of the old tires next to the new and you can see the difference. Now I can nice it outside and adjust my carburetor and check to see if my charging system works.

3 pointsLooking forward to Spring myself. Sure do like the ole square body Chev in the back ground of this pic.

2 pointsWe recently updated our kitchen appliances so this fridge is being donated to the shop. I imagine this is still more efficient than the camp/dorm fridge that ices up all the time. Who’s betting that my movement apparatus will work to move across the yard?

2 pointsLooking through Facebook I found this 416-8 just across the Alabama state line. Says it doesn't run right now it did run a year ago. It looks to be in pretty good shape and comes with a wagon. Don't know much about it yet if he still has it I'm going to look at it this weekend.

2 pointsNice! Has the A, B ports: 3/8" BSPP P, T, N port: 1/2" BSPP So it needs to be connected with adapter fittings. Do you know what the hydraulics fittings are on a WH valve? These would be great for my hoe instead of levers. Easy to find BSPP to NPT fittings

2 pointsOur blizzard was a fizzle so I went to town this afternoon and picked up four cans of Regal Red. Hope that's enough as it was all they had. I can get more if necessary. Went to dollar tree and purchased four more cans of oven cleaner. It's a different brand than last time so hopefully it will work like the old stuff.

2 pointsThe sheet metal is just sitting on it but I couldn't resist to post it. The old name was Big Ugly but now it's dubbed the Patriot Horse !
-
2 pointsThat’s what we call a wall hanger! Right next to the shop labor rates sign! I’m glad it gave him a day’s notice too by the way. Anything less would be unacceptable.
-
2 pointsJust put it back together Bryce. That's one of those newfangled 2-piece rotors. It decreases the weight by not putting anything in between the two pieces. Sort of.....
-
2 pointsMan I love the Horses but the newer 300-500 series don’t handle being left outside very well.
-
2 pointsI debone and cure one entire back quarter. Waffles also make a good shingle. Oh, I like to add a can of mushrooms to the mix and plenty of fresh ground pepper.
-
2 pointsLooking forward to it my self. Going to some shows try and find a 10cube W/H cart. Hard find. Get thru this month and down hill from there.
-
2 pointsI'm ready for Spring too.It hasn't been a real bad Winter here in upstate NY.We had 3 or 4 snow falls that had to be dealt with.Ice,then mud in between snow storms.I'm with Pullstart.I like to work in my shop with the overhead doors open.Fridgid temps are predicted for the next few nights here.Like 5 to 10 below.Come-on Spring. The older I get,the worst the Winter seems.
-
2 pointsNice seeing kids in the shop with hand tools learning their uses instead of on a couch wearing out their thumb joints with a video game controller. Thanks for the memories from when I was that age.
-
2 pointsAin't that the truth! I already use two garages, a shed and space under the house. This is the last available place to go, unless I build a ramp up into the roof space..... Mick

2 pointsFinally got back to this project today. We have a blizzard scheduled for tomorrow so getting cleaned up today was mandatory. Maybe I'll get to spend the day in the shop and finish cleaning things up for paint. Took 2 cans of degreaser along to the car wash and a part of a can of oven cleaner. The oven cleaner does a much better job. I'll be using dollar store oven cleaner from now on. Rustoleum cherry red is the color right?
-
2 pointsTurns out the local guys had a good enough price for me to order more from them. I've got a case of straight 30 on the way for about $4.50 a bottle.

2 pointsIt hasn’t been a very harsh winter, but I too am looking forward to spring. I hope it stays cold long enough to get all the starches in the sugar bush turned to sugars and maple season is a hit... but I’m ready to jump to that and get more shop time with open doors!

2 pointsi know how to make it snow, just take off my snow blower ! i would still leave on my two 42 " blades on my other two. so far this is the winter that isn,t , what we had was easily cleaned up . regular rain often, temps in the 40,s ,windy. i think with the ground warmth it will make any snow fall short lived, even the moles and the rabbits are out. on the other hand my son in northern vt , just had 15" + . kinda weird , waiting to get kicked , maybe in April , we did get 27 " in April years ago , buried the stop signs, pete

2 points"I've been through the dessert on a sled with no name, It felt good to get out of the rain." "In the dessert, you can remember your name, Cause there ain't no one to give you no shame." Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah,,,etc. Sled with no name.

2 pointsIn the house we went with a bottom freezer drawer thingy. It matched our new stove and was in the scratch and dent section. We found this sweet new function too!
