13 pointsAfter reading the post on the genuine, rare and expensive WH front weight, I thought I'd show my cheapo version. Front mule drive minus kaput pressed steel pulley. Fitted with weight off a fitness machine given me free. Mounted on the Black Horse.

7 pointsJust got my Block back from the machine shop today along with the crank. The guy that did this for me is well known in hot Rod Magazine for his work on V-8 engines. When I got there today to pick it up he was working on a racing engine which was a 408 chevy engine. I had my 321 bored .010 over and the crank ground and polished to .010 under. He also ground the valve seats as well. He only charged me 80 bucks cash no ticket. The guy is 80 years old and still going!!

6 pointsNew reproductions of the discontinued #118860 parking brake knob as found on 300-400-500 series tractors. These new knobs are precision machined from a solid piece of aluminum, not cast or molded with an insert that can break out. Each piece is then professionally finished using PPG automotive refinish products. They fit and function just like the originals and look nearly identical. This should be the last park brake knob your tractor will ever need. Price is $25.00 shipped to your door. Continental U.S. only. PM me here for payment information. Now accepting Paypal!

4 pointsAs I've mentioned a few times in posts before, both an Electro 12 and a small Empire steam engine were the pieces that started me into old iron when I was very young.. Just picked this little beauty up last week, an all-original Empire B-31 built in 1921. Currently in the process of shining the old girl up.. really nice shape for 99 years old. Anyone have a little steamer to share stories of?

4 pointsA friend gave these to me shortly after moving back from Florida. It's cool seeing the variety of different packs.

4 pointsA friend of mine took me fishing on the Allegheny River, near Warren Pa. His neighbor had a jet boat, similar, but larger. I figured It would hold 8 people. After fishing in the morning, later that afternoon, the neighbor offered up a ride and a few beers, so off we went. Oh my, that ride was crazy! Zooming past pickup sized rocks and turning on a dime in, I figure in 8 to 10 inches of water! The ride I got was real similar to the video. We did hit bottom a few times and didn't jump any islands, but we were bobbin and weaving like a running back. And yes, bone jarring to say the least. I was a good bit younger and kind of enjoyed it.....don't think I could survive now.

3 pointsWell I guess that was easy! 'Spose you smartys have a differential holder too!

3 pointsI'd say you're right Dan. It might help to keep the spring from distorting but I doubt it. Here's the best I could do Jim. Apparently I didn't get from here.

3 pointsI can easily see myself getting into this sport of boating and off roading all in one hull!

3 pointsMaybe shouldn’t post this....🤪. My husband has bought two originals now.. one without handle and with handle. We paid I think 450 with a mounting bracket and recently 430. I know on here the talk is that’s high price... My thinking and finding is that there aren’t anyone welling to sell for less! After years of searching we have our limit of two! Again it seems high but it’s to the point how bad you want them...🤫. The wants override logic sometimes..😂. Our kids are cared for and our bills are paid so splurging a bit, should be ok! We have seen higher so we are happy! They are just one more thing off our want list..! Sorry if this keeps the price up there but we are not in an area of large wheel horse collections/sources! Thanks to all who have guided us so far in this fun, but expensive hobby!

2 pointsThis probably belongs in the tools/equipment section but I don't care ain't often I come up with a good idea these days! Mods can move it they like.. Rescued this old cart out of Dad's garage... it has casters on it... anybody care to guess what it to be used for? Title of this section is a clue. Couple of strategically placed holes and some tearoff cardboard for easy clean up.

2 pointsNice Norm… what's even nicer you can just unclip it from the attach to shorten the tractor back up for less trailer space. MN boys over here have the same kind of setups. They used old snow blower mounts.

2 pointsFancied something a little different to the usual camera photos and vids... couple of "mishaps" but getting there lol

2 pointsI owned one of the Kawasaki 500 triples. Thing was actually dangerous for the uninitiated rider. When they came on the pipe it was like riding a greased Wolverine. They would literally flip you over backwards in second gear. But trying to stay off the throttle was also a challenge. I can still hear the sound of the winding engine. Talk about an adrenaline rush.

2 pointsit is. Big plastic drum/container, old fashioned battery charger (some new ones won't work unless they sense a battery), Some scrap steel I use disc brake rotors, and a box of Washing Soda (not baking soda)

2 pointsyes I rode one a lot and a KX500 raced a CR250 and a 125 for a few years too

2 pointsNo problem at all Jim. First off, you'll need 11/16" pins not 3/4". The 3/4" can only be used if your rails have the deeper neutral detent. Grinding the flat wouldn't be a bad idea. I did that video that kinda, sorta showed how it helped.

2 pointsHi ! I have just bought a 2000 toro 523 dxi , 560 hours on it for the incredible price of 1500 € , it comes with bagger , 48 inch deck and towing cart . Here in spain we have huge problem with spare parts , the distribuitor is only mainly oriented to the proffesional market , like golf courses , football fields.... so the residential customer is many times are being robbed when we request parts for our machines. Right know i´m looking for a recycler kit for my 48 inch mower , the quote was 2300 € . So i´m start to think to make by myself , due to the high prices we usally fix most of the things so we are expertise in diy solutions , weld , laser cut is not a problem for us .

2 pointsHere is an update. The juice is flowing. 24 gallons of rimguard cost me about $90. (5)-5gallon buckets we free from a buddy who sells paint for SW. Here are the other parts which totaled around $23. I basically put the same tuben inside the large one, then weighted one end and dropped into a full bucket raised up high, taking car to keep the smaller tube our of the RG so air could move out of it. Then it was a strong suck on the tube and a quick clamp on tube once the siphon started. Little tube was passed inside the valve stem with the core out, and the large tube went over top of the threads with a hose clamp to seal it. Clamp off and about 3 hours later one tire is filled. Almost no mess, cheap and very effective...albeit slow. Spent the down time welding up and grinder some rear weight brackets which I will post this weekend after paint.

2 pointsHope you don't mind Bob but since you have the ear of our tranny specialists. I currently have open what I believe to be a 5025 out of a 702. I know the tranny has been opened before due to lack of a gasket but copius amounts of gasket maker of the silicone type. Also the input gears appear to have been replaced and have a chrome plating that is flaking off. I have not seen this before. Hard to see in the pics but is there. 3rd gear and input look to be ok and never had problems popping out. So the reason I had this apart since a frame up repaint is every once in awhile it appears to have gotten stuck in two gears at once. PO Tom @Shynon says he never had it apart when he restoed the tractor. The shift pin stop was missing and the detent spring is a little out of shape but not bad and the balls look ok. The IPL shows a stop pin.. I'm guessing I should fashion one out of say a roll pin or nail 3/4" long? The rail detents are all of equal depths and have no anti suction flats. Should I file a flat spot on them?
