8 pointsHere is a video of two families coming together to do some plowing. There were 5 John Deere two cylinder tractors, 2 Bs (one styled, one un-styled), 2 As, (again, one styled, one un-styled), and a 720 diesel. Several plows were involved, 2 bottoms and 3 bottom plows. There is something about the sound of a two cylinder JD working a field. Caution, video is about 15 minutes long, but if you like to see tractors plowing a field......

8 pointsHere's my rather untidy workshop. Power tools in cupboard under the bench. Most hand tools, spanners etc in mobile tool chest. To the right on the first picture, out of view, is another bench with shelf for storage of fluids and boxes of parts. Ex hospital bed acts as lift and a mobile bench. Don't forget something to sit on while having a brew.

7 pointsThese showed up in my mail box last week, today one made its way onto the back window of my new truck . Long story short my GMC that I traded in had this same decal on the back window. I had no idea where a I bought it from and when I contacted @Vinylguy he said it wasn’t one of his but he could make me a few. No brainer...ordered a few! Looks great and it’s nice to put something on the truck to “make it mine”.

7 pointsHi all, So after pulling the axle out from underneath the neighbours trailer (we fixed it!!) i decided i could treat my self to my own trailer. I found this absolute beauty for a great price, it's a Saxon industries tipper, the sides all fold down and can be removed. we've put it to good use without fault, I would like to get some heavier duty tyres though, they seem to struggle a bit!! made to measure!! the ride on Atco mower fits perfectly! it must be quite old, everything is measured in imperial (i'm in the UK) 12CWT is 610KG so over half a ton, I don't think we are pulling the axle out from underneath this one anytime soon! all the best, Callum

6 pointsThought I would start a new thread because originally I was going to do a patina build but as I got into these two chargers there was a lot of welding repair needed to get it done. So I decided to strip the paint off of everything and start from the beginning. So here I go! By next step will be to get into the transmission and fix the parking brake part inside.

6 pointsYesterday afternoon roasted it at 325 degrees for 45 minutes then plunged it back into the ATF/Acetone mix. Acetone boiled pretty good . Left it to cool then put it out in the snow this morning. Set it up in a vice with some aluminum under the axle splines and wailed away with a sledge (Pic 1). Nada. Back into the press still nada. Left it under pressure in the press and got out the torch set. heated it in the press till I just about ran out of gas. Still under pressure grabbed a ball peen hammer and wailed away at the side of the hub then a small snap sound and it had moved . I was pulling so hard on the press handle i had bent it had to use a tire iron and hang on it but i moved. It fought all the way out. The heating set all the residual ATF on fire and it got smokey. Didn't particularly love the smell but to paraphrase LTC Kilgore (aka Robert Duvall) it smelled like VICTORY!!!!!

6 pointsShelving, shelving, shelving... You can have enough. While I am waiting for construction to begin on my new 18 x 20 pole shed/shop, I have half of my 24 x 24 garage filled with mostly stuff that will go into the new building. I built shelves along the sides (16" deep x 8' long x 8' tall), and shelves across the back that are 24" deep, and they are already filled. Already thinking that the new building should be twice as big. I can see where 12 x 14 is going to be a bit cramped. Here is one idea that I implemented for small parts and hardware storage. These parts drawers are joined back to back and sit on lazy susans. Twice the storage in half the space.

5 pointsAnother vote for peg board. keeps your most used tools right above you at the workbench. no fumbling through tool box drawers. Also at the end of the day you can tell what tools you misplaced...

5 pointsGot the gas tank out and cleaned up some behind it. Turned out the ignition switch was bad. One of the large terminals is loose. I peeled it and the positive battery cables out and canned them. I'll poke around and see what I have in the parts pile. Also removed the awesome throttle handle. Sorry @JCM Jim ... Mounted the new coil and cleaned up the ignition wire. New spark plug in. Here's what I believe to be the original fuel shut off. It was bypassed many moons ago.

4 pointsI've had several people request to see the yard and driveway we plow with the Cinnamon Horse and 867 (Pig Pen) Here's a couple videos of our upper yard. We also plow behind the house next to the shed where the chicken coop is. Last night we had 6 inches of light fluffy snow. Cinnamon is very heavy and handled it easily. Pig Pen does quite well but doesn't steer... Eventually we'll get some chain on her front tires. I really enjoy myself and Trina absolutely loves ❤️ plowing snow. @Lee1977 here's actual real live video proof that I did some of the work.

4 pointsI found this TORO branded tractor trailer while Christmas shopping this past December and figured that since most of the other bigger true "Wheel Horse" haulers go for a mint and all my tractors are from the TORO era why not get it then modify to my liking with some decals... I haven't applied them yet but took a few pictures to show what they may end up looking like... I really prefer 1 set over the other but please feel free to voice an opinion, thanks Jeff.

I just found evidence of a wire welder being used. 3 pointsThe paint job on this one I'm planning on using my HVLP paint gun. I'm going to buy some international Harvester red from tractor supply and put Hardner in the paint to make it more durable. After then I will spray a clear lacquer and buff it out.

3 pointsGlad to see that you have the charger in the heated space and that you are starting to work through the various challenges—piece by piece. It will be fun to see this tractor brought back to life and usable once again. I “inherited” an old Cub several years back that the kids named “Davy Jones” because of its mossy/unsightly appearance. You’d think that there was no way it would ever function, yet with a thorough cleaning and a couple of parts changed and it was alive again! These old machines are so tough!

3 pointsEric looks like it is coming a long. I been there two many times with mother nature nesting. If you can save that muffler if it is original. Hard to find these. Did you save the cables just need to be cleaned up. I have a brand new switch if needed. I was holding on to it for dream of a Start/Gen tractor. Good luck and enjoy the project.

First Truck Camper pic was at Katahdin area camping in Medway Me and the second was in Portage Lake ME. and the first Travel Trailer pic was in Jefferson NH and the second was in Charlton Ma.Had a lot of fun in both of those for many years when life was much simpler and a place I would love to get back to.

2 pointsThank you for the pictures. I know those bolts aren’t the easiest to get to in order to put that on. Not only do I want mount my tine Dethatcher but I am going to mount an EZ -rake model 100 Dethatcher to my C-161 automatic. That’s my winter project. Here’s a picture of it just proped up. It was made for? I’m not sure but not a Wheel Horse. I bought this last year from Illinois and had it shipped here to the east coast, very east coast 5 miles from the ocean on Long Island My wife just found out that I have to fabricate it to fit after what I paid to get it here plus the purchase price and she was like what the? 😡 I’m going to start a separate post on the build.

2 pointsA few years back, when it was just me and my old cowdog, we lived quite comfortably in a truck camper that I had in an old pickup bed trailer. It was very comfortable for just the two of us, but I'm sure it would be tight even for two people, as the truck camper I have now is even tight for just Krystal and I on a weekend stay. Our 27 foot motorhome is even tight quarters for us and the two kids, we toughed it out for a week before deciding to go with a double motel room on a weekly basis until we decide where we are going to permanently settle and can get us a house.

2 pointsThat's because the feeder before the meter is fused much higher than after the meter on a house. I don't think its a frost line thing as much as they're just trying to get it below everything else where you are very unlikely to hit it. Our local POCO requires 3' deep. CCW, If you're going to the trouble of trenching and laying pipe, I don't see why you'd only pull one #12 circuit. I'd pull at least a #8, and set a sub panel in the shed so that you can add whatever. @AHS He never mentioned a 240v circuit that I saw, so 12/2 would technically be sufficient.

2 pointsI just use 14 gauge wire on every points wire I ever replaced. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. You can get wire in rolls at lowes, home depot, tractor supply, a local hardware store etc.

2 pointsI just set up my own electronic ignition with a GM Pontiac Firebird around a 70s or 60s model ignition module for pin and then bought a coil and replace the trigger with a Ford 2003 F150 rear ABS sensor I connected the two wires that come off of it to the left side terminals on the ignition module then on the right side of the ignition module I connected a hot on the bottom terminal that went to the positive side of the coil then on the top terminal a wire to the negative side of the terminal and Bam I had ignition. All together I think I spent under 50. And the great thing is it only took me a half an hour to set it up

2 points4 hours - ouch - i would be closer to 4 days heck it can take me more than an hour to replace an air filter or cabin filter miss the days when you could remove one wing nut to replace an air filter element could see and get to every spark plug easily - now I can't even see or find the plugs on many cars

2 pointsThat is too tight. But it means they (the valve) actually are open more than they should be. Surprised you are not getting a puff out the carb as it may be slightly open. Looking at the picture you are not at TDC Both springs should look the same. K181 valves are NOT adjustable ...except by removal and grinding....
