6 pointsAt our meet and greet this past weekend I bought the following tractors. I really like all of them and my son loves the Lawn Ranger. I think he out about 5 miles on that thing in the past few days... lol I think we will bring the Lawn Ranger and the 702 to the Zagry show this upcoming weekend.

3 pointsI picked up this Suburban 400 fresh out of Stevebo's private stock at his meet and greet this past weekend. I have been looking for an original Suburban that is nice enough to leave original for a long time now. Steve gave me a SMOKIN deal on it, thanks Steve! All I plan on doing is replacing the decals on the hood.. Today I gave it a good cleaning and put the mower deck on. She runs good! 2 pointsWell I have about 100+ tractors here if you want to buy one stop in, I sell everything from one part to complete tractors, many of the ones I have came out of scrap yards, if I didn't buy them to part out or sell as repairable, they would be gone chewed up and turned into the next thing, and yes these are setting outside rusting, I can't afford to have a building large enough to house all of them, and would be a waste of a building in my eyes, they are just parts tractors, nice ones get to stay inside, with out people like me HOARDING them you would have a hard time finding used parts, I feel it's a service I provide in the used parts market. I'm going this weekend to buy 2 full car trailer loads of tractors and parts, many will be sold complete, I have bought 4 others in the past two weeks, 3 of them will be sold complete, best part about the 4 I bought I never even had to hook the trailer up to get them, they brought them to me, the complete collection I'm buying they called me, if I was not here many of these would have been scraped. Sorry for the rant, back to the subject I would be leary as was said about paying big money for a 520 with out hearing it run, BUT with a tiller $500 would not be bad. and if you decide to take parts off it and off the rest I only live a few miles from you and will buy the left overs. 2 pointsYou may (probably) still have corrosion inside the fuse holder on the electrical contacts Although a direct short will take out a 30 amp fuse, the fuse element will blow or vaporize instantly. If the fuse body has melted, this indicates PROLONGED high temperatures near the fuse body, most likely from a high resistance in the fuse socket. The heat formed by the current running thru a resistance in the socket heats the socket and melts the fuse. Remember, a 50 watt soldering iron can generate 700+ degrees and draws less than 1 amp of current. So its not likely a simple overcharge issue will melt the fuse. Recheck the fuse holder terminals.

1 pointJust bought a new to me horse, yesterday! 1992 310-8! It has 1300 hours on it, but it is very clean. I'll use it for mowing and pushing snow once I get a blade.

1 pointHello all, I am new here and today I bought my 1st Wheel Horse, a 1990 312 Hydro in fair condition, 42 " deck and snow plow, new rear tires, a friend of wanted to sell and I think I got a good deal, $500.00. He owned it since 1991 and has always had it serviced at the dealership, starts great and runs strong, a little over a 1000hrs on it, with a lot of TLC this summer, I will have it looking almost like new, I hope. I will post some pics as soon as I can figure out how to resize them.

1 point1968 Commando 6 mostly original except for the H60 engine instead of HH60. it works/runs great , my plan is to do nothing to it and just mow with it this year

1 pointWell this is what I am riding: 1998 ( 8900365) 522xi with 1438 hours 48" deck, no rust Tin is straight, no rust just faded Kohler doesn't smoke and sounds good I actually spent am hour this afternoon cutting wet grass! The kohler didn't even bog down. It's a comfy machine although I kinda felt like I was tilted forward the whole time and my feet kept me on the seat. The reverse pedal takes a second to actually get the machine moving backwards. The pedal actually has about 3/4 inch of play in it ( at the tie rod end ) is this normal. The tractor doesn't go to 7 mph in high with the pedal to the metal so to speak, maybe 5. The tranny is warm after an hour cutting, is this normal? The steering seems loose, quarter turn before she starts to turn. Is this normal? I like the slow down effect when turning. I need armrests to stay in the seat. It is really a bear of a machine. The high-low is nice. The larger foot boards are nice and makes it a touch more comfy than my Cub 1864. The Cub's power steering is a touch more responsive and has more feel to it. If I didn't have the Cub prior to the 522, I would be amazed but with that being said it is only a slight upgrade IMHO. I have a choice to make, sell the Cub( it's up on the for sale thread) and keep the 522, or send the 522 back to the dealer and keep the Cub. Glenn, that is a real nice looking tractor.

1 pointI have 1100 hours in mine. I do believe the loader has been mounted most of that time. She's still going strong! A little patience goes a long way. In sure you'll run across a plow sooner or later. I know toro still had a few decks availbe last year. But a new deck will probably cost more than what you're paying for the tractor. 1 pointWell not everybody -- I just now am getting up to speed on having a "spare" tractor -- My wife and daughter have yet to complain about that -- They are getting a little leary of the attachments though (unfortunately some of them are outside and can be "SEEN!!")

1 pointand another thought is the ability to collect more tractors by the saying to the wife: " Gee honey, I could spend $$$$$$ for a brand new tractor or buy a back up tractor/parts and take you out to dinner, jewlery store etc." I'm up to 4 tractors so far that way.

1 pointHi guys the meeting went well and I'm know the proud owner of a C175 it's all basically complete I've had to totally dig it out lift it over a few old cars etc a few scratches later and bruises it was out . I should be getting the engine tomorrow which should be complete !

It was good seeing Steveasaurus,Duke,the Urschels and The Kuhns. Next time I will get there earlier so I can get a spot and cover the tractor I am looking for parts for

1 pointLooking good. I would really love to have a tractor like that but they are just commanding way too much money around here... Quick question: With that heat shield bolted directly to the exhaust, wont it get just as hot as the exhaust? Usually there is an air-gap to let convection take care of some of the heat. If you turned it around and put the u-bolt on the bypass hose 90* adapter, it should prevent much more of that heat from getting to that hose. (or wrap the exhaust) I would hate to see that thing go up in flames!

1 pointDo not mean to cut anybody else out, but there is a co. on eBay that has a really good price on nearly all the needle bearings. Beats paying local supplier as they now want to charge you shipping for what they don't have but can get. After three or more places shipping gets high. Ask me how I found out, luckily they found some they could ship from their warehouse, then I found these on ebay and ordered a gob of them. Then found some others I needed and they added in at same shipping. Look for Torrington bearings. Also in case you don't have the cross reference will copy/paste post here. by stevasaurus in transmissions). Hum, I show 753 as 1963 with 1" axels and the carrier bearing 1533, 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 1/2, very rare ,but some one here will have them, ebay rare and super high on them. Racinfool40, Mike might have some and the rest but think he orders as needed on the regularly found needles. Don't forget you'll need all the seals too. Stevasaurus may have some of the gears if is still a three (4) speed (not changed to 8 spd) If all else fails try a Koyo supplier, the open ended bearings are easier found than closed end, they use a similar number as Torrington (id in 1/16th" increments by bearing length in 1/16th" increments, exam B-108 = open end 10/16 id" x 8/16 lngth" or 5/8" x 1/2" (thanks to stevasaurus again) M-1012 would be a closed end) Oh, yes, to

It's a '74 C160 auto, runs like a top but needs a list of little things attended to. I bought it to move dirt at the cemeteries that I take care of.

1 pointHere ya go, Craig. If you need more just let me know. The decal is 2 1/8" x 11" white on clear. The letters "ARK" are 2" wide and 1 1/2" high. The "500" numerals are 1" tall and 1 1/4" wide. The "series" letters are 3/8" high and width varies from 5/16" to 3/4". The white background is 2" tall This decal is on the right post if you're sitting in the seat. It measures 3 1/4" x 6". The "caution" letters are 3/8" high. Black on clear.

1 pointOh yeah...I was told of such an item when I got mine... said the one's he had were on wheels though, to aid in moving the FEL around when off the tractor. Sadly mine were long gone...cannibalized for another project.

1 pointI learned a trick from the local atv shop when mounting tires that come in like that. Cut yourself 3 pieces of 2x4 a little bit longer than the rim is wide. Put them in the tire to hold the bead apart and set the tire in the sun til it regains its shape.
