    Kinda know what you are referring to. I feel the same with the new "Steiger" named Case IH tractors. The HP may very well be there, but the look, lines, ect. is just not to my likings. As for the fenders, XI's are all steel. Nothing plastic about them that I have found.<Really. The lights are bulbs. Xenon actually. I have not had the difficulties of getting the grass build up in mine. Seems that the bracket, that sits behind the lenses, may the missing link as to why it was happening with others.

    Submitting the 1991 312H Bought it new,rebuilt it in 2011 with inspiration provided by this forum.     I've still got a few things to finish up on this but I'm finally getting close to being done. I discovered a pin hole in the gas tank, have to put a new diaphragm in the fuel pump and I still have to do the wiring and install the correct battery tray.

    Hey guys, My brother started working at a small engine repair shop last year, (way cool). A mom and pop place that used to be a WH dealer. Anyway he took me for a tour thru the shop area, and I noticed a few signs tucked away in the corner. Couldn't help but thumb thru in an off chance there'd be gold in there. Well...there was. He could tell that I wanted it pretty bad, (cartwheels might have gave it away). He introduced me to the owner, and I made him a kind offer. He told me he'd think about it. I assured him it'd be hanging in my garage in a very nicely kept place, and not for resale. Well I left without the sign. A couple of months later, my brother gave the sign to me for my 40th birthday. Said he got it for $50. I told him he stole it. I had my little helper with me to clean it up just a little, put in a new ballast, chord, bulb, and hung it up. I tied it into a motion sensor so whenever you're in the garage, she turns on. Look pretty nice to me. It's not perfect, but that's what makes it perfect. Still has some grease stains, etc, and a couple of cracks. I'm digging it. Let me know what you all think.

    Picked up a GoPro this past week and tried it out at the pull on Sunday. Had it mounted on my helmet but going to try other locations on the tractor at the next pull.     I'm still very new to the WH Loader Owners Group. (ARK 508 for Wheelhorse on my 1991 520-H) I have used mine a few times in the couple weeks I have had it operational including making a rock wall by moving the many rocks that were graded into our wooded areas behind the homes. I noticed a traction issue with the sand bags and free weights I had in my weight bucket. (I had removed the full concrete pour the PR had in my weight bucket because it made taking it on and off a two man operation). Using a bathroom scale, I determined I had about 125 lbs in the weight bucket along with the 100 lbs of wheel weights to make about 225 lbs of counter weight. I now used two solid concrete squares of 55 lbs each, two big cap blocks at 25 lbs each, (3) 10 lb free weights and my wheel weights to get to about 290 lbs. (I weighed the solid block of concrete that was in the weight bucket originally at about 265 lbs. without my wheel weights included in the gross). Traction is better! These are the pics right after I got it on with the solid concrete in the weight bucket!

    Extremely impressive, do you plan to activate the exhaust, that is really neat? Addition of dual rear lights very nice touch. As am unfamiliar with most of the BIG Horses, as well as new what are the four bolts in the hub for (not being smarty, just curious); friend pacer has one and haven't crawled all over it yet to learn. Just know the D's if that what you have are mega tractors compared to mine.

    That was my plan til this happened- still have my Foster duties-but had away around that for that day-now health issues- with a bad fuel pump right in the middle of it- have graced my door step. If I can get cleared by the Dr I'll drive my little Hyundai if I have to - like to met you too- as well all the other guys..... Hail to the Chief!

    I thought I'd share my potato harvest, so here are some pictures The first two pics show row 1 which were second earlies lifted in early August, rows 2-6 were main crop and we ploughed those out about week ago. The yield was really good (which helped to make up for last years poor crop), off 6 50ft rows we got 320kgs. Its nice to know there's sacks of spuds in store, now I've just got to hope they're good keepers.

    Can't say for sure, but when I was a kid, I was attempting to build a hot rod with a big four barrel on a 327 Chevy engine. While working on the engine in the shop, I attempted the gravity method. I could make the engine idle, but the way that thing drank, it was not enough to keep the carburetor bowl full enough to run at higher speeds. So I just got a cheapo electric pump, and hooked it up between the carburetor and the gravity tank.

    It's a shame the CCW S/Gen can't be mounted pulley end to PTO side and a Pulley on that side of the Crank, as it would turn the Engine the right way

    In case anyone is looking for engin parts for clinton engines, I happened to notice a huge number on ebay while searching for something else. I noticed several connectig rods, a cam shaft, and some other stuff. Search "clinton" in the "yard, garden, and outdoor living" category and you should find them easily enough. cheers Rolf

    Hey Ken, I have the flyer for last years show on my desk at work. I can't make it this year though. I also missed the Bethany airport show too. Hey have a bunch of local ones in town at the burger joints and such. I remember the story you told me about you wife dropping the hammer one time back in the day on your car, just to see what it could do. Thanks for the compliments as well. Steve and Mike....just cracking me up. Defiantly agree about the drunk monkey stuff!! The build was prob. just as cool as the product. It's called a bokakob, slant plate reflux design. I made in in such so if I ever want to use a bigger boiler, I can just unbolt it and do so. So strange that the more people that find out, the more people are distilling themselves. Pretty cool. I made apple pie, and it came out really good. Next round will be pumpkin pie, and I'm going after Blackberry Brandy for my brother. (I'll use white wine for that one.)

    Steve, the monkey in the front left is Frieda and she has on a green sweater with a gold " G " . The one behind her is Ellouise and she's got on a Bills hoodie. Send me a little Bears sweater and I have one named "Brent" it would look good on!

    Squonk, you are not right. but I can see a bunch of drunk monkeys in the near future. I doubt I could drink enough to make them monkeys look good. Chris, I don't think I would worry about the pictures too much...they have stills for sale in the wine shop where I buy my wine making supplies.

    other options would be like i do, a family friend of ours regularly ships seacontainers full with tractors and stuff from the states to here(netherlands), almost all the small parts we order in the states get send to the guy that loads the container and all the small parts are just "thrown" in there. koen

    I used to be heavily into the car hobby for many yrs., the trouble with that was any little change I wanted to make to my Chevelle would set me back some serious dough. I still enjoy going to some of the the local cruise nights. The show at the Southbury training school has always been a favorite. Wicked nice show cars (and trucks) show up there, and a lot of them! They also have a nice swap meet area, ya never know what will show up there. I think the show is this weekend. If you haven't been there its worth the trip Chris. Its not too far for you. Real nice Camaro Chris, I bet it hauls the mail! I had a WICKED nice all original 78 Z-28 with a 4 speed that I should have kept, also had a real nice 79 Z-28. Until my ship comes in its Wheel Horse's and vintage boats and old outboards for me. Its nice to have two hobbies, this way you don't burn yourself out on just having one. I went to one of my Antique Outboard meets last weekend with Stevebo and his son Brennan with our boats. I had a blast! (I think Steve and Brennan will be going again also) It always come down to the people within a hobby, I have found that Wheel Horse people and Antique Outboard people are just about the nicest you can know...

    I'm tryin to get it done in time for the Jacksonville show, still have a few things to finish up..... Funny you say that about the work bench, I told Teri last weekend that I have too much "stuff" out. I can't find anything without having to look for it and everything has red paint dust on it, I can't wait to get this project done so I can clean this mess up.

    rich- no rush, let me know when you open for business. I have some orders to place already. 1 being a new shaft for my 42" blower... LOL BTW - shop looks great. Reminds me of when I was in the UK- RAF Heyford. We had a SR.MSGT that was more concerned with the condition of the shop than the work that was turned out< not really, but sure seemed that way.

    Another thing to check. You say you've been working on it. Has the Crankshaft Drive Pulley been removed/refitted?. If the Pulley is not on tight to the Shaft/Keyway, it will move in with the pressure of the PTO Clutch. Otherwise as Jeff says.

    Well it has been quite some time since the last update. Redoing a transaxle in part was a little more time consuming than I anticipated! I also redid the two hubs, spacers and finally received my rear wheels back from the sand-blaster/powder coater (primer only) so I painted them. I chose Gloss White just because I really thought it would make them stand out more than the Linen Beige. Hope to have the tires mounted and wheels bolted to the hubs on my next post. One picture image was too large, sorry.

    Definitely sounds like the clutch is slipping. Are you sure that your deck spindles are all turning smoothly? If so, I would first try adjusting the trunion on the shaft tighter, one turn at a time and try it again. Have you looked at the clutch disc itself to see if it's worn?

    Little leary about posting pics of this...but here is a couple. Home built from a pressure cooker, 2" copper column "packed", homespun condenser. Making neutral that time. Flavoring went very well, and product didn't last one night. (next morning wasn't too bad)

    After viewing the entries, my '90 520-8 included, I had to add just one more. My '85 416-8 is a champion Stallion too! Loves the snow and turf grasses too!

    I figured on a Wheel Horse board the 345 would go unmentioned.... It's an outstanding garden tractor (water cooled Kawasaki)with 375ish hours on it that i bought from the original owner for what I would consider a really good deal. The wheel horse is going to my old man once I clean it up and we repower, hopefully with a series 2. Like you said, plenty to do beyond the repower. It's a winter project, but I don't want to be power washing in sub freezing temperatures, so I'm looking to get all the cleaning done this fall.

    Black is nice! Covers up the Barb-B-Que sauce stains. One problem though. If it gets hot in Arendtsville like it did 2yrs. ago, we may lose a Dino!

    This is as it sits now, still waiting on the hood and belt guard to get blasted. I hope to have this done in time to take to Jacksonville but I'm running out of days fast. Tomorrow I should have everything painted but the hood and guard.

    i'll try mine this month, even though it's an 84 i didn't think it fit in with last months c-series. 84 workhorse gt1600 repainted red by the previous owner. it's my wannabe 416-8 lol.

    Well it is nothing real fancy but it is my worker. Love, love, love this machine!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2000 522xi with a 60" deck. Has power steering, cruise control, tilt steering and is one beast of a snow plowing machine.

    I guess I'll throw my hat in the ring. From this to this in 8 hrs flat. I know I have at least one doubter out there but it can be done, and this tractor does look nice. I don't even know what yr. it is, don't care. (1985?) She has almost 2000 hrs on the clock and still purrs like a kitten. I cut at least an acre of grass a week with it, haul firewood,pull the sweeper, all the kinds of things Wheel Horse's were meant to do she does no problem. No trailer queen here, just an honest hard workin refurb.

    My Granddad ran a Dealership out of are farm. It turned into quite a large dealership always had no less than 12 to 14 tractors setting on the floor at one time plus every attachment you could think of. He started the dealership in the late 50's and we closed it in the late 70's. McAleer's Hardware Morocco, IN. (out in the middle of NO-Where) Distributer was RECO of Indianapolis IN. Though sometimes we did go straight to the factory for some things. I was lucky enough to get to meet C. Pond when he would travel with a factory rep. He dropped in a few times. Was lucky enough to keep old the old dealers Manuals, Paperwork, Advertising paperwork and gimmicks. Nos parts (which are almost all gone now)
