4 pointsI agree with Bill. Another tactic some people try is this: Their tractor isn't selling on the cheap side so they raise the price! Go figure. Another thing is sellers are trying to leave themselves A LOT of beat up room. If you ask 200 bucks for a decent tractor many people won't pay it even if its totally worth it. They offer 100.00 (or less!). I've listed things on C/L at very reasonable, blow it out the door just tryin to make room prices. All I get are a bunch of low baller's that don't appreciate a good deal when they see it or guys that just wanna flip it for profit. There is an art to negotiating, many people are disrespectful IMHO because they are sitting behind a keyboard while making their offers. If you don't email the seller in a respectful way and try to find out what the bottom line truly is, you'll never know then. Many people do a little research on their product before they sell it. When they find out that Wheel Horse's are popular and collectable they figure theirs must be as well. Well, them are my theories and I'm stickin to em!

2 pointsHey everyone, I'm pullstart (Kevin) a couple weeks ago I was just browsing around and found a 502 on CL with a K141 Kohler and a 36" cut deck. The engine was knocking and I took the drive with my 5 year old daughter to pick it up. I can't tell who is more excited to have a NEW tractor, but we picked it up last Saturday afternoon and last night the rebuild kit came in the mail. In a few hours we were tooling around the yard and having a blast. Yeah, I'm looking forward to enjoying my little 6 1/4 horse and love the pull start no battery idea... it's simple, works, what more would anyone want out of their toys? I need to figure out what model the mower deck is, so I can find the PTO/drive belt, we'll use if for a while to clean up the yard, then work on cleaning it up a few pieces at a time. Thanks again to Bob, the guy who sold it to me. I think he's a member here, an avid WH hobby collector/builder/dealer.

2 pointsBeen looking for quite awhile and have been torn between an open or enclosed trailer. Both have their positives and negatives for my intended use, which other than hauling a few red ones around the place, I sometimes need to haul lumber/building materials, maybe a car, whatever...... I also needed to consider the possibility of a larger full size tractor in the future, (maybe)... I've liked the fact that the enclosed I used was secure and kept everything dry, but it was like towing a brick wall behind my old red Sierra, gas mileage sucked, Been using an open just recently and it's like there's nothing there. Well, I've gone and dragged an 18 ft flat bed car hauler home for future hauling duties. It's staying open at the moment, but may end up getting some tractor height front and sides, sort of like the low height motorcycle haulers..... At least I can take 3 or 4 comfortably now, the enclosed would only fit two and it was a pain in the rear to load.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2 pointsI am a member of a half dozen clubs who's shows I attend, I join and pay my dues because they provide me with the chance to enjoy my hobby. After seeing the kind of show the WHCC puts on I plan to join (even if I have to use a postage stamp) and make the big show next year. We are the show, but the WHCC has their act togather and provides us a great chance to enjoy our hobby; we ALL need to join.

1 pointAfter 2 years of looking for a 520, last week I found a 520H. Was happy as punch to have one. Last night dad called and said the was a 20hp W.H. listed. No model listed. I could see it had a lift handle. Went to look this morning went to have a look. It was a 520-8. Nice. Unbelievable after all this time there is two within a week. At fair prices. So here is the new 520-8 which will replace the C160 under my ark loader. From what I hear this can only be 224 others out there somewhere.

1 pointI saw a Cub-Cardinals game and it was back when Sosa and McGwire were hitting the bigs! WOW! They both hit homers at that game and I cried like a baby!! lol! I too like all baseball. Earlier had on Reds-Rangers game, waiting for the Cards-A's to start up. My kids know when the game is on b/c of all the hollering and cursing and carrying on that I do! Oh lord.....I told you I am a die-hard!! I have an old Toro that has been torn apart and painted red. We are going to put it back and have it pimped out with Cardinals decals. I have been waiting on it for a long time. My buddy who is doing the work is a Gravely collector, age 17, and I like for him to take care of his own tractors before working on mine. BUT i hope that SOON I'll have my St Louis Cardinals tractor!!

1 pointI blame American Pickers and the other "What's my junk worth" shows.... People think they can make millions cleaning out that rusty junk out back of grandad's old place they see one tractor on EPay in great condition fetch a great price and say mine has the same name on the side and think wow I've got a gold mine. How many time have you asked a prospect what model tractor it is and they say I don't know when the numbers are on the side in bold print. So you ask them what shape the hood is and they have less of a clue. But they know the thing is worth $1000 cause it' old.

1 pointNothing to be ashamed of there. It a pretty nice worker and with everything youve done on it it probably does good work too. I, myself, only have workers. Nice and pretty tractors are made to be exposed on a shelf....my shelf is too small for that So if they stay they have to do work. that 310 looks like a hoss.

1 pointI have the same problem. I have been in contact with Original Cab Company and they said there should be a model number near the back window....Mine was missing. I have taken pictures to send to them so they can help identify what model I have.

1 pointFWIW - one of the things I really appreciate about the Wheelhorse tractor community (at least from my experience), all the way back to the yahoo Wheelhorse forum and the early days of the WH Show is how pleasant the chat regarding these tractors has been. I really appreciate all sources that support these old tractors, WHCC, Red Square, Yahoo WH forum, etc. They all make for a fun ownership experience. With my other color tractors, I have found that sometimes, tempers are just below the surface and pop-up from time to time - and they can get pretty ugly. I am very grateful the Wheelhorse community is so friendly, easy going and easy to get along. I haven't (and hope I never) encountered any "who struck John" in my years of posting/participating. It makes for a truly fun hobby. Thanks! Bill

1 pointWell, This guy Chris Rose made the mold from parts I sent him. and the deal was he was going to make me the part out of fiber glass, but then I was thinking carbon fiber. Well he only charged me what it cost him for carbon. So Chris also makes a front end for one of the newer wheelhorses also a rear fender.

1 pointi took the day off today to run some much needed errands, and decided to build an e-tank at lunch. I think it came out pretty good. The first culprit was one of the footrests. here's the tank... starting to "cook" here she is before the dip... i'll post pics when it's done, hope it comes out good.
