1 pointMine are my toys and the issue is what toys do I want to play with. I would keep more than one xi and add a bigger toy. You only go this way once and when you leave you want your last check to bounce.

1 pointLooks like a thick decal TT The usa is a caxton bt font type I can recreate from this image and print them in a light grey on red. I also might try printing red on clear and laminating over silver metalic before contour cutting. Thanks for the help.

1 pointYour right I don't believe you........LOL.......But its true that I am related. They were originally from Ohio.

1 pointIndy, one thing you will learn as a Wheel Horse person is when good items like this come along, go ahead and buy them unless your gut feeling or experience tells you the price is much too high. Hang in there. It will take you about a year to get firmly footed and educated.

1 pointI'm going out on a limb here and jinx Bob...I predict a Raven's Victory. I am leaning toward Jim though...after all, he was a Chicago Bear...DA BEARS Ratt, you are not going to believe this...last year after we met at Jim's...when the wife and I were leaving, I asked her if you did not look like Jim Harbaugh?? :)

1 pointHi Guys- I'm not a small engine expert-nor did I stay a Holiday Inn last nite- but heres my 2 cents- 5 years ago- or so-I got my first Wheel Horse-C-125 A. It ran ok but used some oil- I decided to rebuild the K 301 so it worked like it should, to match how well the rest of the tractor worked. I researched parts availability and cost just as you have done. Kohler parts were very high. I read all I could-including some articles by Brian Miller- he comes right out and says he uses "Stens" parts consistently and has yet to have had a parts failure. Based on that- I ordered my parts per the machine shop specs-gave them to them to bore & turn from. When I received everything back-I did notice some small areas that needed to be deburred, but nothing I had not see before in my 40+ years of automotive engine rebuilding. The parts seemed well made, Piston, Rod, etc . So with the usual attention to detail of good preparation, I put everything together-I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. The engine performs well-back up to putting out full HP no smoke, etc. So for 4+ years of plowing gardens, mowing, plowing snow, running a snow blower (knock on wood) it is still going strong. I use Shell Rotella Straight 30w in it-never a problem. So, in my case, the Stens parts worked great! Good Luck with whatever you decide-just remember-cleanliness & attention to detail=good results-Thanks-Al

1 pointIf you want to go cheap I made these for my D200's Ark loader. Make sure the 2x4s are long enough that the turning brake pedals can go under the loader posts. My d 200 is currently getting a pump and hydro motor replacement.

1 pointOK, its my turn to show a horse pushing snow......so,Got a chance to try out my lawn ranger snow plow today after a fast and heavy snow fall today. (sorry you didn't get any Martin ) . With an unfrozen transmission, no weights or chains....it actually did good. I was surprised that this tractor wouldn't even slow down pushing the sloppy, wet and heavy snow. Took a couple pics with my son Andrew at the wheel. (haven't modified this one for kid use yet) .

1 pointNice pics Terry. Just ice and rain here...still no snow...just all of the pictures you guys are putting on Red Square...thanks. :)

1 pointBrlly1 I have got some stands that I got for my 550 but they turned out to be the ones that hook in lower on the loader than the ones that hook into the holes on the upper part of the lifting arms. I think the ones I have are for the D series.
-
1 pointI just can't believe you got snow that actually needed plowing! All we got was ice!

1 pointive had good luck with my ebay ones...... im sure not all the ebay ones are the same and id have to go back to try to identify what i actually got, but from memory they just mentioned the 102118/102119 part numbers. i did a bit of asking on the forum about these as well at the time i was looking for them, and the subject of the new ones seems to come up every now and again. i must admit i am gentle with the throttle one on my 1057 and it doesnt get anywhere near daily or weekly use, but through the summer months last year it got more use than any of my other 'nice' tractors and is holding up fine from what i can see...... just looked up my ebay history, i used this seller antchip49ju search for Throttle & Choke Cables for Wheel Horse 102119 +102118 cant guarantee that these are exactly the same ones, but i would buy again from this seller if i needed more. if somebody could say the toro ones were the bees knees i would pay the extra, but ive been burnt before by buying more expensive 'crap' when the cheap 'crap' is a superior product..... :confusion-scratchheadblue:

1 pointVan is correct. The 520 seat will have the adjustment mechanism, but will need the optional Seat Pivot plate, Toro #112478, along with the R & L pivot brackets, #112744, 112745, along with a few other miscelaneous pieces. I forgot that I had the Deluxe seat assembly on my 416 and thought the 312 was the same.

1 pointCongrats on your progress and good luck with the rest of it. :handgestures-thumbupright:

1 pointThis is what a typical Magnum electrical connection looks like - I'm not sure what you mean by "modular" connector on the back.
-
1 pointIndy,, If it is a 520 seat, everything should bolt right up without modification. David

1 pointTeach the boy a plowing routine of your property so ya'll can see each other in the danger zones when you cross paths, or get close, and stick to it. He will be more responsible on the machine if tought right than most adults and you will have more satisfaction with a job done right than you can imagine. I know this from experience! I love moving snow with my partner, and trust him completely.Sometimes it's hard to rmember he's only 9! :greetings-clappingyellow:

1 pointHands down the 312 is the way to go. That GT-14 is around 40+ years old and has a Sundstrand auto thats hard to get parts for. Stick with the manual tranny's for towing regularly. If the 312 has a Magnum then the oldest it could be is 1987 or 88 (cant remember the year of the K to Magnum swap) but could be from the 90's. Mike............

1 pointI'm a huge fan of Jim Harbaugh. He was one of the owners of an Indy car team I worked on a long time ago. Great guy. Our car carried the #4 which was Jims number. He only made it to a couple of races every year (he was in the final years of his playing career then) but when he turned up he didnt want to hang out with the other owners, he'd just hang out with the boys. Great with the fans, never to busy to sign an autograph or pose for a picture. He was still very popular in Indy at the time, having been the quarterback there prior to Peyton Manning. I've never been a 49'ers fan, but I'll root for Jim.
-
1 pointThe Harbaugh boys are my cousins like 10 times removed. Their great grandmother and my great grandfather were brother and sister. If you look at the attached link and reference the Olszewski side you will see a Stanlislaw Olszewski that was hit by a truck in Cleveland. That was my Kin.......Needless to say I have never met them and they probably don't know I exist so I won't be getting any Superbowl tickets in the mail......LOL http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~battle/celeb/harbaugh.htm

1 pointWhen I was a kit our old Allis's had them peperpots on big bore briggs engines and I spent about 6 hours a day on them things... Surprised I'm not deaf now. Used to wear my tape player with the volume cranked and strained to hear it. Would listen to Zeppelin 4 and Def Leopard Pyromania on a two sided mix tape over and over and over and over again all day or until the AA's ran out.
-
1 pointHad an old wheel horse dealer tell me a very good temporary shifter boot is a toilet bowl flapper with slight mod.
-
1 pointSometimes my 314-8 will do the same thing. I just let out on the clutch and press it back down. The gears seem to line-up and it goes into gear. The main thing is don't force anything and don't grind them gears! Mighty fine tractor you got! Good luck, Bill
-
1 pointDitto to both of these answers, plus... Have you checked your fluid level lately?
-
1 pointWhat he said In addition- If you can't get it in 1st, put it in reverse just long enough to notice movement (or to just rotate the gears a tiny bit), and it should go in first just fine. These trannies don't have any type of syncronization, so it's not uncommon for them to not go in gear- particualrly in first or reverse. As the tranny gets up in years, it shows up more often. As far as needing repair or indicating failure, I would say it's normal as long as it isn't excessive and the tranny doesn't have any loud growls or whines. My 310-8 has a faint whine in third, but that is also what I would consider normal.
-
1 pointThe first thing I would check is to have some push in the clutch with it running and look to see if the belt stops moving. The Idler bracket has a 90 degree bend at the top above the idler pulley that contacts the belt when the clutch is push in to stop the belt. That tractor has the spring shock on it don't know if it could be binding and not letting the clutch depress fully. It could be in the transmission but I would check every thing else first. I have an older tractor that I have found if you give it a little time after pushing in the clutch it will go in with out scraping.

1 pointand to prove it it up to the job - here it is in action lifting my dad (Norlett) off the floor... a mere 1/4 of a ton
