Just don't plan your 4th of July holiday on the July page or you will miss it by a day. ...or if you're like me and look at life from a "glass half full" perspective, you could get to enjoy the 4th twice! Duff

I am a firm believer in SeaFoam as a stabilizer and a cleaner. I mix it in my 3 gallon gas can and then use that for all the tractors and mowers...use it in my truck also. If you read the label on the can, this stuff is so great that I think you could put it on a Pizza and it would taste better. :)

For some time I have wanted to biuld a clone of the 1954 RJ Prototype tractor on the cover of Mike Martino's 2nd Edition and also feachered in the very early 1955 RJ ad (my avatar). I looked for about a year before finding what I felt was the perfect RJ in order to base the project on. What I started out with was a ruff condition 1955 Cable Steer RJ35. It was missing the hood, engine, seat, original front rims and most of the cable steer parts. It did although have the veri drive, belt guard and rear drive intact. Some of the parts which I had to make in order to clone the Prototype correctly was the fiberglass RJ hood, pilot steering wheel, most, if not all of cable steer parts and speed selector items. Posted below is a pic of what I started with and the biuld of the fiberglass RJ hood. If you click the below link you will be forwarded to my YouTube Channel (VinsGN) documenting the project. There are 11 parts so far starting with the basic overview of the tractor to the biuld of the hood and the fabrication of the pilot steering wheel. http://www.youtube.com/user/VinsGN/videos?view=0 Subscribe to my Channel and follow the biuld. Thanks Vince

From what I can tell by the pictures, it was never painted. The grille damage makes me wonder if Ray Charles might have owned this tractor at one time. :hide:

The snow looks like it is going north of us....just like last year. But I did stock up the liqueur cabinet today...plenty of Rock & Rye, Port wine, home made wine, Black Russians, Martinis and some Grants 12 year old Scotch. Bring on the alignment of the planets and let's move into the upper hemisphere of the Milky Way Galaxy. I am ready...horses are anxious for sure...think I might bed down with them tonight. They like the Rock & Rye. :happy-jumpeveryone:

Good news! I just talked to my brother and it was his computer operator's mistake so he is reprinting them all and will be sending out all of them from there. You should be getting the correct ones before Christmas. As for the computer guy, after he gets them finished, he has to stand out side in front of the shop naked for 2 days. :)

Sure, now you give them away....... I JUST picked up 9 of those, paid full price too! Over at that place near the Rail Road Xing

One of the very few pictures I have of the Wheelhorse when it was new. It came off the truck and I put some chains on it and put it to work. 1605 hours and still going strong. And here it is 25 years later ready for Snow. Maybe this Friday!

http://www.osceolame...09&MName=Gerald M. Pugh Hey guys, this was my father. He had a heart attack at work sunday evening. It was sudden and he had no suffering so in that respect I am thankful.Still hard though.I just wanted to say thanks for letting my dad be a part of your family. He enjoyed talking tractors.I have to try now and go through his stuff to see what all i have I can fix and what I have to part out.It will take me a while.I do have a 1966 1057 that he gave me last year that I will eventually refinish in his honor.I will be around but it may a while before I can get started. Thanks again and God Bless,Richard Pugh Oh yeah one more thing..... take those near and dear to you and tell them you love them as often as possible.Never know when the last hug might be.Don't wait! I was lucky as I got mine the night before.I at least got that chance.

Somethimes the fishies do not want to bite...... That's why they call it "fishin", not "catchin". I never watched a lake "freeze" but did see a lake "thaw". The ice in the spring on Lake Sunapee in NH, a good sized waterbody, formed into millions of 3 inch tall hexigon crystalike verticle shafts, all floating in unison looking like a solid ice surface that sort of waved in the breeze, like short pencils standing upright in the water, then the wind blew them all to one end of the lake where the force of the oncoming ice shafts pushed those next to shore onto the beach front lawn of the cottage next door. When it ended, the pile on the neighbors front lawn was 10 feet high and 40 feet across. If only I had my trusty WH 42 inch single stage blower back then I would have taken control and blown all those ice crystals back into the lake!! NOT!

Cayuga Lake water doesn't freeze here on the north end. Tractor people from all corners of the globe come here to get some to put in their tractor tires for winter ballast. Cheaper than Rim guard!

Small Update, got the C125 home tonight. Unloaded it off the trailer and pushed it in the shop. I'm posting this pic, nothing special, still got all the dirt on it from years back. I sure will be glad to get my Son-in-Law's Wheel Horse to it's new barn so I can have some room to work on this one. I really need to build an addition to the shop to hold all these LAGT's. Once again, sorry bout the poor quality. Santa may be bringing me a new upgraded phone next week. If he does, I should be posting some better pics then.

Thanks for the help, with a putty knife & trouble light I found the plug, previous owner removed the pipe and it was just the allenhead plug in the oil pan. again, thanks to all who replied.

They are awesome in my opinion. We have one and I use it when scraping the underside of my wheel horse decks. I have used it on my 310, 1057, and 314H with NO problems. The model we have is the cheaper one....about $200 at Tractor Supply.

If it was me I would get it and just sit on it for a while. Slowly gather the parts to complete it and then it's another one saved. I don't come across any early ones at all and I guess it would be at least a start for one. If you don't have the room then that would be another story. Even if it took a couple years to get the remaining parts and it just sit there waiting to be completed, I'm sure I would be happy saving another one and an early one at that! I still have my first Wheel Horse. I bought it new April 26, 1991. It's the 312-8 you see in my avatar. it has roughly 530 hours on it. Two of the three I have aquired since then have all been "One Owner" machines. The two PO's of the One Owner Horses were deceased, and one PO had got too old and physically unable to use his anymore.

Fuel around here has gotten really bad. There is a station that sells ethanol free 93 and that's what I use now. B-n-Law has an old Farmall that doesn't get used much. He calls me and says I can't get it running and if I could help him. Farmall's usually start by themselves. It has a loader on it and a real PITA to work on. I get there and he says he has no spark. He had replaced points, plugs, coil, cap and rotor. I start checking and he does have spark. I pull the gas cap and really don't get a strong fuel smell. Drain some out in a jar and still don't smell any fuel like I should. Tank was full of water. Now he says, I had the same problem last month with my 4 wheeler. WELL, DUH!!!!!

Bears fans are great fans. Went to the Bills/Bears many years ago in Buffalo. Parking lot was half full of Bears. The Packer game was 3/4 Packer fans. This was back when "Mr. Int" was the QB Looked like Lambeau East. My brother had Bills season tickets. They got first pick on the tickets before they went on sale to the general public. I needed 4 tickets to the Packers game. He went in July the first day they were available. They opened at 10 in the morning and were sold out at 1:00. He said he was about 200th in line. Never saw anything like it in over 20 yrs. of having season tickets. You're right Packer and their fans are full of it. Full of PRIDE AND TRADITION!!!!

Yep, Thats what the vikes Super Bowl Trophy case alright!! Pretty hard to disagree with that. Thats why the Vikes don't under stand the Half full/ Half empty concept... It's always empty behind the glass for them and their hands seem to be empty when they want to run for a touch down. Still can't stand the packers... they have another problem....They're full of it!! Was in Chicago on sunday and the Bears Fans are the Greatest to talk to!!!! DA Bears

I HAVE ONE MORE PICTURE OF THE RJ. I NEED TO TRANSFER TO A COMPUTOR. THAT TRACTOR IS LONG GONE NOW. MY FATHER TRADED IT IN ON A 1967 857, I WAS A TEENAGER THEN AND I RUIN IT. THEN HE TRADED IT IN FOR A 1975 B80 THAT I STILL HAVE. I PARKED IT AND BOUGHT A NEW 1982 SK486 THAT USE A LITTLE NOW FOR LEAF CLEAN UP. I USED 1999 314-8 NOW AND JUST BOUGHT A 2002 315-8 BECAUSE IT WAS NICE USED TRACTOR. I WILL POST MORE PICTURES MORE LATER. BOWTIE IN OHIO

Just by looking at the first pic, I don't see a reason why the short frame snow plow wouldn't work on the 65-68 lawn rangers. Everything appears to look the same under the frame from front to back.

Tony, Back in 06 I had my bike built and it was finally done in February !!! Needless to say I had NO problem going for a 1 hour ride all dressed up in my snowsuit. I believe it was about 28 degrees that day. You should have seen the heads I turned pulling into dunkin donuts for a coffee. I felt like the guys on dumb and dumber with frozen snot coming out of my nose. Anyways nice bike and really good price for sure. My Christmas gift to myself is my avitar.

Nice ride Tony. Perhaps not that flashy to you, but looks good from here!! I like the hypercharger on it. Enjoy. I gots me a 1979 Camaro I started a thread on this a couple of months back, but "Santa" came along last week and gave me a few upgrades for under the hood. (Sorry...no pics of that though). Yes...American Iron is good!!

finally got around to getting with terry to create the front hood decal. weve got the layout where i like it, but terry was having trouble getting the laminating right on it. this is the result, its just a test run so theres some bubbles and defects in it. the final decals will be better but this one is good enough for me for this tractor.........

Havent killed mine yet: The roller is supposedly 700lbs full of water. I'm probably going to plow with my Ranger this year. Suppose I'd better mount up the blade (its snowing right now...)

Terry I run a generic cast iron wheel weight, they are not make specific, they can be used on the front of back depending on rim size. Wheel Horse OEM or any make of 8" wheel weight will work on a 64 to 68 Lawn Ranger, the 62-63 years had the narrow rear wheel/rim combination. Rangers after 68 are a different breed all together & used a vertical shaft engine. Rangers didn't have holes drilled in the wheels, so to mount bolt in weights you;ll have to set them in the wheel, mark the hole location & drill. Scot the Lawn Ranger used the same parts as the other short frame Tucky powered Horses, like say for example the 653 or 656. Ranger 62-68 did use an aluminium block H60 instead of the heavier cast iron HH60 Tucky 6HP engines, but the tire & wheel combo is the most obvious differance. I was never a big Ranger fan myself, bought one for my son to beat on...he never got interested in it so I began useing it around the yard & became a Lawn Ranger convert. I use mine for about anything...mowing, pulling a cart, pulling a 4'X2' lawn roller, & snow removal with a WH Ranger spec single stage blower. It's been modified with an 8 speed from a 310-8, an HH70 Tucky, wheel weights, poly filled Duro ags, & a stack of weights on the rear hitch when I'm snow blowing. Not to bad for a light duty LT.
